Excellent location, superb small hotel, staff very attentive and friendly, nothing too much trouble. Lovely room overlooking the countryside. Excellent choice for breakfast. 10 minute walk to Lulworth Cove, 5 minute drive to Durdle Door
The location was perfect with beautiful views across the countryside and within a ten minute walk to Lullworth Cove. There are plenty of fantastic walks in the surrounding area and many places of interest to visit including Monkey World (a must for animal rescue followers). The hotel meals were excellent, the attention to detail was faultless. and the staff could not have been more helpful. We enjoyed a wonderful few days!!
The room we stayed in was a little small.
A wonderful hotel, close to Lulworth cove, the staff were some of the most pleasant we've come across from any stay. We dined in the restaurant and made sure we booked ahead - really glad we did as the menu was really good and the food was wonderful. We'd definitely come back.
Excellent restaurant Very friendly and helpful staff
The hotel is situated in a beautiful idylic spot. A short walk from the gorgeous lulworth cove and durdle door. The staff were amazing, very attentive. And the room was very luxurious.
The only gripe we had was the bed. We would of prefered a double bed rather than two singles pushed together. Apart from that we couldnt fault it.
Honesty bar, nice touch as we sat chatting till late
No soap in the bathroom though this was swiftly and politely rectified
The hotel is situated in a very pretty village just a few minutes walk from Lullworth Cove from which there are some great coastal walks. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the hotel which consists of just 8 themed rooms with a designated parking space for each. The breakfasts were everything you could wish for and the evening meal we had there was also very good. The staff could not have been more friendly or helpful. We have never returned to the same place twice but this could be the exception.
Nothing apart from having to categorise ourselves as a mature couple for the purpose of this review!
Friendly staff and a lovely place to stay. The Limestone is the perfect place to stay for a holiday or a short break in the wonderful county of Dorset. I couldn't recommend it highly enough. I look forward to returning there one day.
Quality of food was excellent.
Had to request for fresh towels and replenishment of shower gel.
Lovely location, very friendly & helpful staff especially Mike who greeted us.the view from our room was stunning. the restaurant was small but cosy and the food was excellent, lovely breakfast.
We didn't dislike anything, there is a steep path up to the front door but it all adds to the setting.
Food in their restaurant was very good. Well worth dining their
Room was quite small
location, food, clean and very friendly, helpful staff.
just not very good wifi connection,
Comfortable room, lovely views, outstanding food, staff the most helpful and soliccitous we have ever found.
No lounge to sit in after dinner, though the weather was fine and we could sit outside. The weather was very hot, it would have been nice to be provided with a fan.
Good attentive service. Pleasant compact room. Very good breakfast with plenty of choice. Restaurant for evening meal was good and the meal was well cooked. Designated parking. Excellent hotel in beautiful location.
There is a steep path up to the hotel but the staff make a point of offering to help move your luggage. This is also pointed out when you book.
Homely atmosphere, picturesque setting and lovely garden, attentive and friendly owners and staff, excellent food, nice bar. Breakfast something to look forward to. Perfect for a relaxing weekend break and a great venue for a small buffet reception (we hosted one for 40 guests - the locally sourced food was delicious). The best hotel experience I have enjoyed in England.
Location, good service and breakfast
Room was small, shabby, cluttered with unecessary objects, dark & drab decoration, very uncomfortable (old) bed & pillows. Not what we expect for £110 a night.
Friendly staff Great food Comfortable rooms
West Lulworth is beautiful and the hotel was situated in a perfection location overlooking the village with the walk to the Cove was only 10 minutes along safe footpaths. The rooms were very clean, tastefully decorated and had all the facilities you would need. The restaurant was lovely and the staff very friendly and helpful. Will definitely come again.
Parking was quite restricted
The view over the village Courtesy of staff (but there are a lot for a small (9 rooms) hotel so hard to get to know anyone).
Room was a little small The wi-fi could have been fixed by a little attention to detail (but maybe not everyone cares!)
We stayed here with our family and friends for our wedding weekend and wow! Daria and her team were incredible, the hotel is gorgeous, rooms clean and quaint, decorated individually, stunning food and a picturesque location. Nothing was too much trouble and the staff were extremely accommodating. If you want a home away from home and luxury in Lulworth, then you will love the Limestone Hotel. Will be coming back for many anniversaries to come! Thanks again Daria and Edward and all the team.
Lovely staff and great location. Restaurant good.
Overpriced for what it was, I expected more. It was fine, but I wouldn't spend the money again.
Staff were very friendly, hospitable, good food.
Everything about this hotel was lovely, can't wait to go back again!
WiFi was down when we arrived and didn't come on until the following evening, however we still couldnt get WiFi in our room. Beware as there was no Vodafone signal at all in the village which meant it was very difficult to stay in contact with work. It did cause a little stress but the staff did everything possible to help!
A group of us stayed here for a wedding. Great Staff in a peaceful setting. We arrived late, very late but Natasha/ Natalie (sorry it was late) was waiting for us with a smile and full arrival instructions :-) Thank you so much. Had a lovely stay, it felt like home away from home. We laughed and chilled and never felt rushed. Loved the Honesty Bar concept, was the talk of the weekend. Breakfast was great. 5 stars for the owners. Thanks for looking after us.
Some rooms were a bit dark, so putting on make-up was a bit tricky. Some of us turned up to wedding with a bit to much rouge, or a party face instead of day face make up. Hilarious. Steep walk from door to car park so come down in flats or hold on tight to someone or rail.
Very friendly staff and great good. Views were lovely.
Decor in my room was quite dated and no room for a chair.
