Best Western Lime Trees Hotel8 Langham Place, Barrack Road, NN2 6AA Northampton (Show map) Good, Score from 24 reviews“Good location - near the centre of Northampton.”
David,
Bamber Bridge, Preston
The charming appearance of the hotel’s Georgian frontage and the mews courtyard at the rear are matched by the immaculate bedrooms, fine restaurant and cozy bar. The Lime Trees Hotel offers comfortable, high-quality accommodations in a great central location, just half a mile from the very heart of the city of Northampton. The hotel offers free parking in the secure courtyard parking lot and the M1 is within easy reach, making the hotel a good base for exploring the many surrounding attractions. All bedrooms are decorated and furnished to a high standard, and each room is well equipped with all the modern comforts and facilities you need in a peaceful, relaxing base. An ongoing refurbishment of the rooms has been taking place since 2005 and many have now been elevated to a very respectable 3-star superior finish. Please note that this hotel is completely non-smoking. Hotel Rooms: 33, Hotel Chain: Best Western.

That it was a Best Western Hotel and I thought the quality would be assured as I stay in Best Western Hotels every week with work. That they didn't seem to be part of Best Western anymore even though they were still advertising that they were.

There are terrible pot holes/bumps going into the car park. I drove in (gently!) and there was an almighty bang, I actually thought I might have damaged my wheel. That would put me off coming again.

I arrived late but was given a friendly welcome and a huge double room even though I'd only paid for a single. WiFi was free, and I wasn't overlooking a busy main road. Car park was also free and very handy. A great place all in all.

Good hotel, staff were excellent and only happy to help. Would use again Had me in a double when I booked a twin. Tried to charge me £55 when I booked for £45, and tried to charge me £20 for breakfast when I arranged 2 for £10 at reception on check in.

Staff were very obliging I was unaware that not all rooms were within the hotel itself. We were put in a Motel type room across the car park, our room had recently been refurbished and was nicely done but another person with us had a room which hadn't been and was quite dated although clean and comfortable.

I really liked the hotel, nice lounge, pretty courtyard and the room was very stylish. The hotel wasn't very clean, there was lipstick on one of the water glasses.

Bed extremely hard - bedding very heavy. Sheet, quilt without a cover, fleece blanket, brown decorative blanket and blue throw - all too much. Bed badly made with sheets and quilt halfway down bed.

Good location - near the centre of Northampton. Car parking less than ideal, with a pot holed track and then only a small number of spaces. Lack of easy chair in room. Breakfasts seemed expensive.

Not much, only people in the hotel and pushed outside in a converted barn. No chef in the evening and room was setup for one person. My wife and I went to Northapmton to support Gloucester RFC and with the cost would have been better driving home and having a good meal out. Other than the duty staff not much, I have stayed in many hotels around the world and this was way down on my list of best places to stay. A budget hotel would have been better.
