Excellent location. Friendly & helpful staff.

A little tired & dated.

I am fussy, but I found nothing wrong with this hotel at all. I am reluctant to leave such high praise as I do not want it to be full next time!!!!!!!!!!!!

my short stay, should have been longer

Nice friendly staff good clean bedroom & excellent shower room. The Green Room Restaurant had excellent menu & attentive staff.

Staff were very likely and helpful, especially in storing bikes etc

We ordered breakfast in our room as we were going out early, but the person putting our trays together had not noticed that the bread was mouldy and we had toasted mouldy bread. As we were in a hurry, we didn't have time to rectify the situation.

Wedding held during our stay. Received a message via television screen regarding wedding which did not concern me. Had difficulty in re-accessing television programs.

This hotel is superbly located opposite the cathedral and a short walk to the old 'uphill' area of Lincoln which is extremely picturesque. The rooms are very good with plenty of beverages and a comfortable bed. Excellent breakfast and a great on-site restaurant called 'The Green Room' serves superb evening meals and is open to residents and non-residents. The hotel staff also work in the restaurant and are very polite and helpful.

Very minor point, there is no 'do not disturb' sign for the room doors.

The room (212) had an excellent view of the Cathedral and was well placed for walking around the older part of the city. The food in the Green Room was very good and the staff were friendly.

The noise from traffic when we opened the windows. Breakfast service was a little haphazard and on both mornings we had to wait while items were brought out.

My husband was ill while there and the staff couldn't have been friendlier and helpful. We stayed there for a funeral and arrived early but they still let us have our room so we could change. We will def stay there again.

There was a musty smell in the old part of the hotel. Also they were quite slow at refilling dishes at breakfast and also tea and coffee pots at the wake.

The hotel was fine, room was comfortable, staff were very friendly and nothing was a problem for them. Easy access to the city.

Hardly anything, Black Sheep bitter wasn't available all the time, but then that is common.

Location is very good, right next to the cathedral and castle. good breakfast.

staff was not very accommodating. we were unable to check in slightly earlier than 2 pm, and were not allowed to have a late check out even though the hotel had plenty of available rooms that night. the room itself is a bit dated...no power socket next to the bed, really weak shower with hard to control temperature and a weird design that did not allow the shower door to be closed. overall the hotel was too expensive for the sort of product that they offered.

The proximity to the cathedral and the good car parking facility. the staff were very friendly and hepful.

Breakfast on Sunday morning - there was a huge 50th birthday celebration and it was crowded and n oisy. However, the best was made of a non-ideal situation by the staff and the arrangements.

Excellent location. Close to Cathedral and good eating establishments.

Unhappy to be placed in the reception area on the Sunday due to numbers. Hotel should be prepared for this and use the main restaurant. Breakfast average. Toaster totally inadequate. Bread never fresh.

Service was very good, both in hotel and restaurant. Food was excellent. Rooms were well proportioned - would recommend a Cathedral view if you are looking to book room. Excellent location.

The location was excellent and breakfast had a good selection. I would say the price was fair for the standard of accommodation and although the staff didn't go out of their way for you, they were pleasant enough. Big plus was the hotel was very clean.

Whilst parts of the hotel had been modernised there were still areas which were quite dated. Room itself was nice however the bathroom was old fashioned.

Green Room food was excellent for dinner

The staff were very helpful, the room was warm and comfortable, breakfast was excellent (huge choice from the buffet) and the hotel was located right next to the cathedral and old town.

We found the lack of hot food on the room service list (after 10pm) a bit poor. They couldn't prepare it for "health and safety reasons". Also, when paying £95 a night for a room, one would expect parking to be free.
