Opposite the Lincoln Cathedral, and a 5-minute walk from the center of the city, is the Lincoln Hotel. Drinks can be enjoyed in the outdoor sitting area, in the hotel’s beautiful grounds. A full English and continental breakfast is served in the Long Room bar, which has views of the cathedral. Local ingredients are used to create the varied menu in the bright and modern Green Room restaurant. The wooden-beamed cellar bar, Bar ‘67, is a stylish place to relax with a drink. Each room at the Lincoln Hotel has air conditioning, a flat-screen TV and a sitting area. Some rooms have views of either the hotel grounds or the cathedral. Lincoln Central Train Station is a 15-minute walk away. Carholme Golf Club is less than a 10-minute drive away. The Lincoln Hotel has one of the best locations in the City, it overlooks the Cathedral and is within 200 yards of the shops, restaurants, and pubs in the old town. The food in the hotel's restaurant was good and reasonably priced. Parking was extra - another £5 an night and really should have been included in the room rate. Staff are helpful and friendly - good customer service. The standard rooms were reasonably presented but the double beds are very uncomfortable, small and very short. This is a problem commented on by other guests. The corridors could do with urgent refreshment - on the ground floor on the approaches to the rooms the carpets need a clean and the walls and room doors need repainting. There has in the past been money spent on the fabric of this hotel - this needs refrshing if they are going to maintain their price and reputation.

In a really great part of the city. Staff was friendly and the breakfast was great with a view of catherdal. If you are not apart of a function/wedding make sure you get a room in the old part of the hotel. We did that and no noise from the wedding. So not really a complaint just be aware.

Was great as when we stayed the first evening was the start of the jazz festival and the hotel had a live band so we sat outside in the evening sun, drinking pimms and listening to the band, whilst looking at the cathedral. Staff excellent

Lovely location right opposite lincoln cathedral - near to the lovely old High Street, went to watch the Lincoln Grand Prix cycle race - ideally situated for the weekend visit. This is the third time I have stayed there, to watch the annual bike race.

It is a friendly hotel with an excellent location opposite the Cathedral and in the heart of the medieval cathedral quarter at the top of the hill Its got the feeling of slightly faded 1970s glory- clearly once the top hotel in Lincoln it has a tired feel not helped by the 1970s decor- that said the staff were good, the hotel was clean and if it survives another decade or so it will probably begin to sell itself on the basis of its period decor...

Town central location, helpful staff, views from the room, historical city, loads of information brochures available from the reception desk, a total "can do" and "no bother" attitude from the staff that I came into contact with. A thoroughly enjoyable experience for myself and family members who had travelled considerable distances for this reunion combined with a family wedding.

The staff were as helpful as we could have wanted, storing our luggage for us when we travelled to Carlisle for a night. They also charged us a total of £5.00 for parking applying the payment to all 3 nights parked in the car park. Good plentiful breakfast, close to town centre. Might well be the least attractive hotel we have ever used, particularly when juxta-positioned to the Lincoln Cathedral but that is not the fault of the hotel or their staff!

Very welcoming and rooms lovely with a very comfy bed. We were given an upgrade to a cathedral view balcony room and it was a lovely spacious room. Was really nice on Sunday morning to go out onto the balcony. Loved the shower bath. The breakfast service had a good choice and was nice and hot. This was our second stay at The Lincoln and we brought friends with us on this visit. We will certainly be back again. There is absolutely nothing that we didn't like.

The view of Lincoln Cathedral from my room was outstanding. The staff were very helpful. The shower was absurdly small and not enclosed so water splashing was a problem.

The fabulous location in full view of the Cathedral. The extremely pleasant, friendly and efficient staff and excellent food - particularly breakfast which was way in excess of the "ordinary" buffet fare experienced universally. The guestroom (326) was a bit small and cramped and the double bed a bit on the small side for a 6' 1'' person like me - (not that unusual!)
