Small room Poor WiFi Cramped breakfast room Shower was very weak
The room was in a good location
Room was in the basement and was noise though the night and kept getting woken up
Travelling around so easy.... get a travelcard off peak covers all zones best day was Thames Clipper Rover saw things we would never find on foot.Eating out good valueif you search out the deals..try a "Pop Up".Metro paper great.
Crowds...but it was a week to christmas.Larger stores did not seem to care so shopped at small independents for helpful advice.
Out second stop at Linden House for a mini break in London. It's in an excellent location, with Paddington tube just down the road and Oxford Street in walking distance. Nice staff and excellent value for money for a hotel in London. We know where we'll be staying for next time :-)
Staff were friendly
We had room 108, due to street lighting it was very bright and was difficult to sleep, a silly room to choose as a family room in my opinion ... Very noisey due to proximity to curb, room was not very well cleaned, bedding was dirty
Room was tiny only as wide as the bed. Not all the lights worked in the bathroom which meat it was very dark in the shower.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was warm and comfortable and the shower was good
The decor was a little shabby and could do with updating
Location and staff :)
Outside Generator can be heard from the rooms, everything someone goes to there rooms I could hear everything, 3 floors off steep stairs, heating can he either on or off, scaffolding left next to my window
Was very close to tube station, not to far from hyde park winterwonderland or busy shopping areas
Almost everything, the hotel looked nothing like pictures, the room was tiny bed almost touched both sides of the room, headboard was torn and filthy, bathroom was tiny you could almost shower whilst on toilet.....and the bathroom door wouldnt shut, walls needed re painting as marks all over them. Booking came with complimentary breakfast which was shocking, literally toast, cornflakes, tea coffee orange or apple juice wouldnt recommend to anyone especially at £59 rip off
Hotel is clean and close to Paddington station, the Sussex arms pub which is located across the road is very welcoming and lovely atmosphere.
Room was very small and basic, lots of stairs to walk up and could hear people using the stairs all night. Breakfast was nothing to get up for, but didn't really expect much from the cost of the hotel.
Very good breakfast and nice comfortable room. I asked for a double bed and they added a complimentary extra bed for our 3year old. This hotel is very close to Paddington station and about 15mins away from hyde park.
the shower was very clean but no space for toiletries. They need to fix some shelving
Only the location.
Breakfast was terrible. Not enough tables and chairs for guests to sit and eat. Had to take our breakfast and eat it in our room as there wasn't enough space. Poor selection of food. Also the room was terrible, the decoration was pretty shabby.
Room was basic but what do you want from a budget pirce, it was warm and clean and staff friendly. I was on top floor, if you are elederly or having problems with stairs then yes youd have to request a room on a lower floor, but i have no such problems so it was fine. I cant comment on breakfast as i ate at work, but i have stayed in more expensive hotels which have also suffered from. It enough space to accomodate every guest in one sitting, so dont see this as a turn off. I would saty there again if i need to in the future.
away from the Traffic. Room was good and a good shower.
noise from room above..probably the wooden floors dont help sound proofing
Good room size and service (house-keep)
Occasional 'thumping' on my ceiling, as I stayed on same level as reception.
Huge queue at breakfast, in adequate tables meant no breakfast for me
Location Staff Quiet at night
Breakfast room inadequate in size No heating in the bathroom Only drencher showerhead and no bathcaps or hairdryer provided
Double bed, decent size shower
The radiator was locked on all night which meant the room was unbearably hot. Even with the window fully open it was terrible, and I can assure you I like my heating on all the time at home! There was scaffolding all over the building so it was actually not secure having window open all night. Dreadful stay. No lift, room at top no help with luggage.
Just the location
receptionist very informative
We were given choice of five rooms all terrible, double rooms made to sleep five. Toilet so small two of our party could not fit. All beds put you ups or camp beds. Room not very clean.one towel per person. Continental breakfast was a joke, no where near enough food for everyone no choice, meat few slices curled up at edge, cheese slices value, odd bits of bread around toaster did not toast. No members of staff around to ask. Room not big enough people queuing to come in to room then queuing to get breakfast, finding none left. Saw two more families in MacDonald's as children hungry.
Good location, 5 mins walk from Paddington, lots of late night food outlets at sensible prices and 24 hour shops. Staff friendly breakfast (continental) ok, staff worked hard to refill coffee and food, rooms clean and tidy
Rooms are quiet small. breakfast room is very small and always packed - seating at premium - and organisation bad - need to split coffee and food! BIGGEST PROBLEM is outside Hotel is a kerbside mounted large generator, the size of a van, that runs 24 hours every day. Rooms, esp at ground level V Noisy and the motor sound pervades every room of the Hotel. No one seems to know when work will finish - Recommend AVOID until works (I think next door) are done - whole hotel is fronted with scaffolding so front rooms have walkways outside all windows.
Location excellent. Close to Paddington, Hyde Park and Harrods. Rooms, although basic, were clean, warm and comfortable.
Room on third floor without a lift.
Ideal location-easy to find and very close to Paddington station in few minutes walk. Courteously prompt and helpful attendants-easily accessible, gave useful local advice in time. Breakfast- quite wholesome and freshly prepared food and drinks.
The room was quite narrow, relatively so to fit only four people with two double beds, which could feel a bit suppressing.
Cannot fault fif licstion and good places to eat 5 mins await
Decor very tired. Stairs steep. Breakfast poor quality and coffee lukewarm
