Lovely cooked breakfasts in spacious airy surroundings, helpful staff Our room was rather small, but this appears normal for England. Shower water pressure poor. No box of tissues in room |

good position as regards York only 15mins walk to center or 10 mins walk to racecourse. Staff friendly cooked breakfast very nice. The towels were lovely and big. The double room was too cramped, to walk between end of bed and wall was difficult and the little ensuite bathroom was tiny. We are only quite slim anyone bigger would have difficulties. The television had a very poor reception. |

Staff were very he;pful and friendly The bin was not emptied, the cups were not cleaned and the tea making facilities were not replenished. It seemed that the only thing done was make the bed. The manager was new and he said he would sort it out. |

Fair for the price, good breakfast, clean rooms and staff are friendly and accommmodating. Prices may be a bit high for a discount hotel and the type of rooms available. |

The atmosphere was pleasant, the breakfast great and the staff friendly. The room was comfortable and the tea and coffee making facilities essential and very much appreciated! breakfast could have been a little earlier but it wasn't really that big a problem, just meant a later start to the day's sight seeing. |

Friendly staff, excellent freshly cooked breakfast. Room & bathroom spacious, quiet and very clean with key for door & outer door. Very well located about 10 - 15 mins walk from York city centre & station. Good value for money Limited breakfast time on Sunday - only 08.00 - 09.00. £2.00 added to bill for use of cards, debit or credit, would have been nice to know this beforehand |

Room was very small and very noisy. Breakfast very early considering it was a weekend. Bed uncomfortable and duvet too small for the bed so was often cold. |

I liked the friendliness of the staff, its close proximity to the centr, and the breakfasts. I felt the shower and toilet room was too small. Also, although there was a sink in the room, I should have preferred to have had this facility in the Toilet?shower room. I should prefer not to have Room 7 or similar on future visits. |
