Linden Lodge is a comfortable guest house located in a quiet area, it only took me ten minutes to walk to the centre of york. Staff very friendly and helpfully showed me the quickest walking routes on a map. Breakfast is a choice of cereals with juice and fruit available. I can't comment on the cooked breakfast as did not try it. My room, although small was comfortable and clean. En suit door very difficult to open and close

Welcoming, friendly and very obliging hosts & staff. Extremely neat clean and well presented accommodation. Some very welcome touches such as hair dryer in room, comfortable and serviced to high standard. A very pleasant and relaxing stop over for this single traveller. A very good standard for accommodation in this price range. Situated in an area giving easy and quick access to most of the "touristy" parts of York, easy walking distance. As a frequent visitor to York, N.Yorks and coast I consider Linden Lodge an accommodation gem of a discovery and will certainly consider future stay if there are rooms available at that time...I I am sure that this hotel has a loyal repeat customer base, it certainly deserves it. Trouble is that it will make getting a vacant date booking quite a challenge! My short stay did not prompt any negative remarks. However, in common with the vast majority of premises located in York and Yorkshire Towns/cities/coastal resorts parking of vehicles is a nightmare and a challenge. Parking permits are issued and parking rules easily violated. Visitors to the Linden are well advised and guided when obtaining parking pass from the hotel.

The owners where very friendly, gave us local information. Nothing was too much trouble. The Young Girl who served breakfast was very polite, asked if we needed anything else. The Room was cosy, clean with tea/coffee facilities. Linden Lodge was situated in a quiet area.

Our stay at the Linden Lodge was exellent. when we first arrived the welcome was friendly and after showing us to our rooms which were on the top floor. The stairs were a bit to much for my mother in law who is 87. At this point the manager on seeing this and because he had a cancellation he moved her down to a lower floor which was much better. The food was excellent and the service very good indeed,

When we arrived at linden lodge we were greeted by a gentleman who helped us to check in & shown us our room & the facilities within the lodge, over the two day stay we found the lodge to be very warm & friendly. We enjoyed our stay & we would definitely recommend it!! On arrival we found out there was no bar even though it was stated in the write up on the booking.com website. It also stated that it was just a ten minute walk to the city centre where as we found it was more like a 20 minute walk!!

Enjoyable b&b! Fair prices, good location, friendly, and clean. No frills, but no surprises either. Just a nice stay. Rooms are slightly small with old matresses, but not terrible. Water pressure barely exists!

Friendly welcome and well organized small hotel. A 15 minute walk form the station or Minster. A very good breakfast is offerred. The breaksfast times may be a bit tight for some (8-9) but they suited my schedule on this trip perfectly. The bed in my room was not of the best comfort, but acceptable (old, with creaky springs). Otherwise the room though small, had everything needed and was reasonably clean and well cared for. Watch the low doorways on the top floor!

Location for city centre was very good, easily walkable within 10 minutesof the main shopping, bars and restaurants. We had a comfortable but basic stay at Linden Lodge. If Linden Lodge is anything to go by, York is expensive for the standard compared to other bed and breakfasts we have stayed at within comparable cities in uk. Breakfast time was very limited between 08:00 - 09:00 only.

Good breakfast and reasonable location. Check in time was too restrictive. No facility for keeping luggage while you enjoy your last day in the city. The cook/waitress was scruffy, almost enough to put you off the food. Adjusting the shower was very hard, 10 minutes each time you used it. Every so often the toilet erupted with monstrous noises. Tiny bathroom with poor ventilation. We couldn't even leave the key with a member of staff on the Tuesday we left as this, apparently, is their day off!
