family atmosphere, staff were mostly of one family

Food excellent but perhaps a little expensive for a person who is vegetarian and non fish

The decor, the friendliness of the staff, the welcoming coal fires, the beautiful grounds and gardens,the size of the bedroom,the massive comfy bed, the stunning spotlessly clean bathroom, everything was to an exceptional standard and lastly the abundance of interesting magazines!

Nothing springs to mind, you cannot improve on excellence!

The service at this beautiful country house was first class. All of the staff were lovely and made you feel at home. The room and bathroom were gorgeous, as was the view. I loved all of the furnishings and fabrics. Not to mention the beautiful lounges, it was wonderful to relax in front of the fire. Only thing that let us down was the weather! But you don't really noticed it when it such a glorious house. I hope we can return again.

A delightful stay. A very friendly Hotel where I was welcomed on arrival and made to feel 'at Home' from that moment. Excellent food...excellent comfort.I shall happily return next year.

I was happy with everything.

Beautiful surroundings. Extremely clean, comfortable, and friendly family-owned and run hotel. Exceptionally personal service and attention, we were made to feel very special. Absolutely delicious food!

Bathroom was a little small having only a shower and no bath. If given the choice we would have preferred a room on the 1st floor to make the most of such beautiful surroundings, rather than the large and very comfortable Superior room we were allocated on the ground floor.

The setting was breath taking, and the staff were superb.

We found the hotel very comfortable and the food delicious. The staff were very friendly and attentative. We enjoyed the display of paintings and family photographs. Our bathroom was all one could ask for as it had all the facilities and was spotless.

We have one small criticism in that the duvet was quite heavy and very very warm.

The atmosphere was typical of a small Country Hotel with personalised Attention from staff, friendly group interaction with other visitors and magnificent setting and views.

The room while well appointed and maintained was quite small and there was annoying noise transfer from the kitchen doors late at night and early in the morning due to the age of the house.

The location of this hotel could not be any better, overlooking the beautiful Lake Windermere, it is an idyllic setting for a relaxing stay. We will definitely come back for a longer stay. A week would be lovely and allow you to explore the Lakes District at your leisure, as there is much to see and do and would suit water sports enthusiasts as well as the bush walkers!. The staff are very welcoming and look after their guests perfectly. This is definitely the place to stay if you want to 'spoil' yourself.

We had a most wonderful stay at Lindeth Fell Country House Hotel, The owners and staff were most helpful, wonderful room at the top of the Hotel with the greatest view of Windermere.

Very quiet and peacefu, lovely setting, friendly staff,nice facilities.

Room too warm. Spoke about this with the owner - difficult time of year as heating had to be on in some areas. Duvet too hot

The staff were very pleasant and the surroundings were lovely. We had an excellent meal on the evening which was quite delicious.

We would have prefered a room with a bath, but it was the last room available.

An excellent hotel, professional, attentive staff but also very friendly which created a pleasant and relaxing atmosphere where one felt to be 'away from it all' - the perfect escape to celebrate an intimate event. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. The garden and surroundings were so beautiful we just wanted to stay forever!

It would have been lovely to have a swimming pool on site with beauty therapies - an ideal site as it is such a relaxing place.

Very relaxing, couldn't fault the cleanliness. Food excellent and the staff were helpful and pleaseant. Would recommend this hotel to mature couples wanting peace and quiet. A good base for Windermere and surrounding areas.
