Set in a 17th-century former farmhouse just metres from the banks of the River Wye, Parva Guesthouse is less than a mile from historic Tintern Abbey.

Our waitress was very impatient and spoilt evening meal.
Everything at this hotel was excellent, already sorting out dates to return!!!!!
That we didn't book longer stay!!!!!
Had a wonderful 2 days the staff were helpful and friendly and the hotel warm, inviting, set in beautiful grounds and easy to get too. Will be going back again.
Lovely stay, after a long day mountain. Biking we were very happy to arrive to a warm cosy lodge with a very powerful shower! Great staff couldn't have been more helpful. Will definitely return.
Everything was perfect, very clean and comfortable. My children loved the swimming pool. We would definitely go back again.
The internet was not very fast, but it was OK as it was free.
staff were aware of personal preferences
hard pillows small quilt
We arrived after the doors were locked and the duty manager went far beyond her job to give us Tea and biscuits etc when we finally arrived
a few spiders around!
Staff Helpful Lodges Facilities
A roaring fire burning in the hearth surrounded by settees and chairs inviting you to sit and lounge.Excellent food and great surroundings.
Bedroom very warm with heat in room off
The rooms we stayed in where clean and comfortable although basic. The hotel its self has loads of charm and it was very relaxing . The indoor pool great warm water and a good size. The staff where friendly and made you welcome.
The food was not very good. But our complaint was delt with in a very positive way. Which proves the hotel takes customer service every serious. Everyone can have a,bad day but 10 out of 10 how it was delt with.
We stayed for dinner and breakfast as we didn't want to drive more, but it wasn't awful and we felt we were being ripped off with breakfast. The dinner looked and tasted like a ready-meal, nasty cheap ice cream, and VERY over-priced for what is was. The menu didn't match what I was given. The breakfast has a nice variety but was too expensive for what it was.
great pool lovely cabin, perfect for a young family beautiful grounds glorious surroundings
Beautiful building and very cosy rooms. We had one of the best night's sleep in a long time! Staff were very friendly and helpful and check in and check out went very smoothly. It was also helpful that there were plently of free parking available. The location is just perfect and very peaceful. We will definately return if we are ever in the area again!
Drinks, cakes and snacks were served through the hatch where you check in and check out. It seemed there was only one communal bath on the entire floor (each room had their own shower)
Lovely location, great lodge
No free wifi as advertised. Wanted to charge us
An amazing pre-Christmas break! The main house and grounds were stunningly picturesque. Our wooden lodge was spacious, clean and well-equipped. The pool was perfect for family fun at 1.3m deep.
Not easy to find down country lanes in the dark and no mobile reception to help. (Wi-fi available once on site though).
Location, atmosphere, pool, quiet, breakfast, staff, grounds
Food unimaginative and limited. hotel overheated, couldn't turn radiator off
Log cabin, swimming pool, cleanliness.
No phone signal,no bar, isolated.
Everything, location, staff, room, fireplace!! Everything!
They ran out of beef burgers!
Lovely building and rooms. We loved the comfortable lounge with the log fire and the children loved the pools. The beds were extreamly comfortable and it was great that we could adjust the room temperatures to suit. Lovely home cooked meals.
Poor showers and one room only provided a cold shower. To get any hot water from the taps or showers we had to run gallons of water and sometimes even that did not work. This was our only complaint but it did put us off what was otherwise a wonderful break.
a real treat very homely a pleasure to be there will certainly return there
Lovely grounds and beautiful building, the hot breakfast was not great the sausages were low quality. Wifi is only at the reception and wired internet cost £5. Babies are advertised as free however there is a £5 charge for the cot revealed after booking which is not fair.
Wine was nice
no hot water in morning , and no bar licence .
Brilliant location for a quiet weekend, everything clean and good quality in the well equipped lodge. House and grounds super. Plenty to do and see in the area. Staff chatty and helpful. Good supply of local area information..
Bit isolated for a long stay, didn't appreciate the suggestion from staff that 'we could talk to each other' during their attempt to get the TV working. It was delivered in a joking way and not meant as insulting, but, we had teenagers with us and the TV is after all, an advertised facility, which the staff admitted 'frequently doesn't work'
All was good apart from food
The restaurant food
It was a family friendly inviroment .set in a fantastic peaceful location great as a base for exploring. A short drive from Tintern & Llandogo one way.Monmouth is also not far away OK for self catering also in the chalets.a fabulous 15m pool. I would stay here again
