The guest house is right in the town centre and the breakfast was lovely. The owners were very friendly and helpful. We stayed in Double room 2 and although the room was very clean and nicely decorated it was on the small side and there wasn't really anywhere to put our luggage etc. The main issue though was the size of the en-suite bathroom. It was so small, you could hardly move in there and there was no where to put our toiletries.

Paula and Graham were great hosts and made us feel very welcome during our stay. The guest house was warm, bright, clean, comfortable and well looked after. The room we stayed in had everything we need, very clean and cosy. Breakfast was excellent, enough said on that subject. The only negative comment I have is around the shower in the en suite. Although plenty of hot running water, it had very little pressure and took more than a while to have a shower. This would be an area of improvement to the rooms I would look into during the off-season.

Even before arriving at Lingmoor, we had regular and helpful email contact from the owners...who advised us of sights to see. Upon arriving, we were warmly greeted and conversation was welcoming and friendly. Our room was spotless. The decor was warm and modern, with useful amenities like a flatscreen tv, Hairdryer, coffee making facilities and wine glasses (which was a very convenient touch!) The en- suite was gleaming, with lovely big towels and washing products. The view was superb from our top floor room, and enjoyed watching the world go by. On the evening, the location was spot on to wander a few metres to the bars and Chinese restaurant. Although we heard reviews about the rooms not being the most spacious, we did not notice or care. The room was adequate and definitely fabulous for the price! The breakfast was a highlight. We sat in the bay window which was great and the quality of the food was outstanding! You could opt for what you wanted and the portions were filling!! Cereal and toast were also included and the hosts chatted throughout without being invasive. We left feeling very relaxed and would definitely return and recommend to others!! Thankyou very much for a friendly, affordable yet charming stay.

I brought my Mum to the Lake District for her birthday, and we stayed here. The house was very clean, and newly refurbished. The breakfast was lovely, there are three options for a hot breakfast with is good, as a full breakfast can be too much. The owners are great, so friendly and helpful. They really took it upon themselves to ensure we enjoyed our trip. They couldn't do more for you. I would recommend this guest house to anyone, and I would go back again myself.

The hosts were friendly and knowledgeable about the area. The guest house is ideally situated for seeing about the area and all the main roads very easily accessed. The rooms are spotlessand the breakfasts fill you up for the day. The ensuite bathroom in room 1 is very small and although spotlessly clean there is no turning room at all. Petite and bijoux was how we referred to it
