Very friendly and attentive hosts, spotless rooms, lovely breakfasts, excellent value. Paula puts a lot of effort into making sure you enjoy your stay and I would thoroughly recommend this guest house to anyone. Great location for getting around the Lake District. Very minor aspects which did nothing to spoil our stay, but just so that people know what to expect, the en-suite bathroom was a little cramped, there is no dedicated parking which might be a problem in high season and there are not many restaurants in Windermere itself.

Great location and cosy room room. Very clean and the breakfasf was nice. There is wi-fi and a tv-dvd in the room. There's a book shelf on the landing with DVDs to watch and books to read with ones regarding the lakes. This is a nice touch and adds to the atmosphere and makes you feel welcome. The bed was very uncomfortable. We were in the very top room facing onto the main road. The bed was too hard and was therefore difficult to sleep on it kept waking up in the night. The shower was also not the best the power wasn't great and resulted in the water trickling out.

The owners of Lingmoor, Paula and Graham, were passionate hosts, who were undoubtedly committed in making the stay of every guest a very pleasant one. The room we had was particularly comfortable for three. It was exceptionally clean, well kept, and was decorated in a splendidly ornate style. The en suite bathroom was immensely spacious and very well equipped. More importantly, my friends and I felt homely and snug, void of any feeling of foreignness. Knowing that we love Earl Grey tea, they left a few sachets in our room with a note. Surely, Paula and Graham really know how to take good care of their guests. Signs of their splendid thoughtfulness were splattered everywhere in our room, right down to their choice of high quality paper in the bathroom! The guest house is located right at the heart of Windermere, so it was highly accessible to all the shops and restaurants. Daily, they checked on our itinerary to see if we need recommendations, and the places suggested were certainly the bests of Lake District. They even provided us with discount coupons so that we get better deals for sightseeing. The choices for breakfast were good, and the food was excellent. The dining room was beautifully appointed, and the ambience made my daily breakfast an intimate affair with the hosts as well as my friends. Paula and Graham are affable, jovial, and sincere. If you wish to stay in a place where you feel like you're staying over your friend's, this is the place you would want to be in for your holiday. Nothing! Everything was perfect!

Nothing really. Has put us off b n bs totally. Will advise anyone to avoid this like the plague unless one has no other option. Too many restrictions - 3 hr window check in time, no hot water after 10 pm, cramped room with children bunk beds despite no need to and expensive prices similar to other larger hotels. Had to bathe in icy cold water - causing a cold the next day. Wouldnt advise it for any traveller unless absolutely desperate. -Dr L

Paula and Graham are warm and made us feel very welcome. I requested Graham to arrange a cake for my wife's birthday just before arriving and he did that without any fuss. Rooms are well done up, clean and the location is good, right next to all the eating/ shopping in Windermere and barely 20 minutes walk to Bowness on Windermere. If we go back we will stay there.

We were especially impressed with the helpfulness of the owners. They helped up to choose where to go and even made arrangements on our behalf. Everywhere was very clean and the beds were comfy. The cooked breakfasts were delicious! The hotel was well located for the town and close to the bus and train station which made life easy for us as we had no car. I would certainly recommend it. The rooms and bathrooms were rather small. This was especially true of the twin room. There was no discount for single occupancy of the double room and this made it quite expensive when compared with 4* Bed and Breakfasts in places like Somerset.

Close to Windermere railway station. Convenient to find restaurants and shops. Free WiFi. Tailor-made breakfast. With out a clear sign, difficult to find. No elevator, have to carry heavy luggages to 3rd floor through very narrow steps. Check-out before 10AM in the morning. Breakfast only available on 8~10AM. The worst thing is even no luggage keeping service after check-out, which caused me to leave Windermere 1 day earlier.

离开温德米尔火车站很近,相当方便,但门面很小,容易找的时候错过。老板娘很客气很热情,是舒适的bb选择- 。房间略小,但干净整洁,对于旅行来说短住绝对ok。

We stayed there for 4 nights during the Easter. Paula and Graham, the owners of the guesthouse, are superb! We are treated as their families. We chose this based on the reviews and we are certainly happy! Good location to the Lake District and plenty of restaurants, cafe, shops around to meet all your needs! The breakfast is excellent! Will stay here again when we visit Lake District.
