Shower was unfortunately difficult to regulate (kept going cold and then boiling hot) and the bathroom door wouldn't shut.
The room was very small, with nowhere to put luggage - not the end of the world, but I ended up stubbing my toe on the bed as a result.
Although i'm sure it usually works fine, there were problems with the WiFi on both nights of our stay.
Another small thing is that there is no hot food allowed in the bedrooms, which meant eating our chippy dinner (must have for visiting england) outside in the cold.
The owners are a particular credit to Lingmoor Guest House. They are very attentive to your needs and although some things don't run as smoothly as in more established hotels, they make up for it with their tailored solutions.
The location was very good (close to hiking paths, walkable to the lake, plenty of restaurants nearby), although parking is not that easy (can only park for 1hr nearby, otherwise all day about 5 mins walk away).
Breakfast was made to suit each guest and was delicious!
Despite the negatives, I would stay here again.
