Lovely welcome. Beautiful room with a great view. Well cooked breakfast served in a conservatory with panoramic views. There was a local pub you could walk to serving excellent evening meals. A bus stop outside the B&B meant that you had the option of ditching the car.
Absolutely nothing. Would love to stay there again.
The owner was really helpful even though I was a bit of a pest knocking on his door asking questions later on in the evening and asking to use his private phone the next day. The room, which was not ensuite for the price I paid, was still very comfortable and I had a great bathroom down the hall, all to myself too. Breakfast was also very nice, with free range eggs too.
The owner was a Marmite-phobe, so I had to make do with marmalade, jam or honey for breakfast. Next time, I'll sneak in my own little pot - so there!
had to drive a bit further to get to places, not a big issue though
Location, location, location - and the room and food were great, too!
Good food and a great host! Good location near some great hidden restaurants.
The staff were most welcoming; breakfast was very good. Good value for money. This was our fourth visit.
We arrived at Link House in the evening as we had been travelling for some time and arrived later than we had wanted. We were greeted by the owner and quickly shown our lovely comfortable room. The bed was a pleasure to sleep in and the room very clean. We enjoyed a lovely breakfast the next morning and a beautiful view surrounds the house on all sides. A lovely place to stay for longer if you had the time.
We couldn't complain about anything but if you were staying longer than one night you want want a room with a slightly bigger bathroom as the toilet and shower were very close together. But fine for a night stopover.
Friendly host, clean and nice room. Lovely breakfast!
Location was a little bit far from town, a car is needed. Otherwise everything just really good!
it was spotless rowan was an excellent host and his breakfasts were wonderful
Location Cleanliness Guests' sitting room Breakfasts Friendly and helpful staff Secure bike store
Made to feel extremely welcome. Nothing was too much trouble. Room was comfortable and the food was lovely. One of the best B & B's we have stayed in.
Room was very comfortable and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was first class.
A little difficult to find when driving by yourself, directions need to be a little clearer. Towles very rough, need to be tumble dried not on line.
Beds, welcome, books & maps & breakfast all super
Room 1: smell in bathroom unacceptable
The whole stay was very good. The welcome , breakfast, service and room , can not fault it. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Room comfortable and clean, excellent breakfast with pleasant owners
Clean Quiet Wonderful views Great breakfast Friendly staff
One small thing. In room 2 the smoke/carbon monoxide detector is directly above the bed. If you are on your back with your eyes closed trying to sleep you can see it flashing, even through closed eyes. As i say, i'm being ultra picky but it did irk me a little.
I had booked two nights at Link House however I was involved in a car accident on my way there and didn't make it. Unfortunately I still had to pay in full ...
Good food, no hassle and very clean.
Very clean and comfortable room, tranquil surroundings, and wonderful breakfast (hot things cooked to order, nothing congealed, fresh eggs). We arrived very late and received a great welcome. Will return on next visit to the Lakes.
Nothing - only wish dinner was possible, but it is a guest house and not a full-service hotel. Wish we could have stayed longer.
Good choice for breakfast, plenty of fruit. Option to take small jug of normal milk to room when making tea or coffee, rather than using long life.
Owners were very helpfull Breakfast was excellent with many choices
Some main road noise but was to be expected
Good sized clean room with excellent view and good shower. Breakfast good but could have been abit more generous with bacon/sausage on the full cumbrian. would stay again if re-visiting the area.
Extremely clean and functional bedroom; delicious breakfast.
Having to use bathroom some distance away from bedroom. Also would have preferred bath to shower.
