The room was very comfortable, spacious. Hotel staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good. Plenty of parking and easy to find. Central location but off main street so quiet too.

This would have been a great stay had it not been for the loud disco until midnight and the slamming doors thereafter. Would have to think twice about staying on a Saturday night again which is a shame as the room and the restaurant were very good. The loud music.

The staff were excellent and the food supplied late after the restaurant had officially closed was also very good. Old style hotel with high ceilings and cool rooms, clean and comfortable, much to my liking. No porridge

My wife and I have stayed at The Links several times and for us it's probably the best hotel in Montrose. We were down for 1-night for a charity gig, which was using The Links as their venue. So we had a great day out in Montrose, a great evening in The Links ballroom listening to some fantastic music from a band called kfg. The best bit was only having to go upstairs at the end of the night to our very comfy bed. The full Scottish breakfast finished off our mini-break perfectly. Couldn't get the tv to work due to some wierd arrangement that meant using two separate remotes. I wanted to watch the Sunday morning news and fiddled about with the thing for 15-mins with no result. Just before we left I tried again and did get it working after having to switch off all power to the two main bits of kit. To me, the tv should be as simple to use as switching it on, even with a slight hangover.

A very friendly and well run hotel where every member of staff made us feel welcome. The hotel is well situated in the town but nontheless very quiet. The cuisine is of a very high standard. Our room was in the older part of the building but was spacious, well decorated and furnished. The bed was exceptionally comfortable Would have appreciated a proper shower. A shower head attached to the bath taps and absense of curtain or screen meant showering was not possible

The welcome was excellent with the reception staff personally takin gus upto our room. Very friendly hotel The food for breakfast was adequate but much of the cooked breakfast appeared reheated possibley having been cooked earlier in the morning.

Excellent and obliging staff, restaurant very good. Pleasant Bar area and nice Koffiehaus where breakfast is served. Good parking facilities. Convenient for local golf courses and fishing the North and South Esks. Pillows could be improved.

The food at this Hotel was excellent, better than more highly rated restaurants. We would go back to the restaurant purely in it's own right. The food was freshly prpared, high quality and well presented The bed needed repaired

Staff were excellent. Hotel was nice and quiet. Rooms finished to a good standard; plenty of tea/coffee etc. Our room had a balcony. Bathroom was a good size and huge fluffy towels. Breakfast was very good and lots of it. Would recommend this hotel and would return.
