We liked the helpfulness of the staff, the peace and quiet and the locatin.
Our room was rather small with only one armchair and if one of you was sitting in it the other could not get past. However, any deficiencies were made up for by the excellent staff.
Location and staff
Poor bathroom and hearing everything in the next room.
newly refurbished room enough towels, complimentary toiletries etc. very friendly staff
high costs of breakfast
Room a bit hot.
I have been using Best Western Linton Lodge for a few years. The reception area and bar and lounge area have been refurbished and now it looks great. The staff are always very welcoming and professional. The beds are also extremely comfortable.
It was 800m from the address where I needed to be. The 24h reception desk was good to have for a female solo traveller. The room was very pleasant and offered all I needed.
It can be quite noisy.
Friendly and helpful staff. Hotel very well situated. Easy walking distance to the centre of Oxford.
Very thin floor. Kept awake both nights by crying baby above and parents pacing the floor to quiet it down. The single bed in the room had a very hard mattress.
staff. food i enjoyed everything about my stay.
Clean, comfortable place to stay
lift broke down
Mouldy sandwiches served for lunch!!!
Room clean, Staff friendly Convenient for Oxford
Restaurant prices a little high
VERY NICE HOTEL. CLOSE TO THE CITY AND TO SUMMERTOWN THE BREAKFAST WAS OF A VERY HIGH STANDARD .
Perfect for our visit - site seeing in oxford was just far enough out to walk into town and stroll back. lovely hotel allowed us to check in early.
Room and bathroom were newly decorated - shower was the best ever!
The staff were very friendly, food very tasty and the hotel was nice and clean and a great location, nice and quiet.
Just found a double bed a bit small :(
Room was clean and comfortable
Doors banged and poorly insulated. Plumbing was noisy from a nearby room. Sounded like a tuba. Walls were poorly insulated! Room was small even though described as an Executive Room. Poor value compared to Premier Inn. Reception staff Very disinterested
Breakfast was excellent
Lift was not working and we had to take our own large suitcases up the stairs
The location is good for Oxford at a reasonable rate.
There was excessive noise transmitted through the floor and ceiling. We were woken up by the neighjboring rooms. The premises are still being worked modernised but not finished. I got a splinter in my fingernail from one of the old banisters on route to my room.
Friendly, helpful staff, clean, comfortable, quiet, good location.
location, bed, quiet room
leak in bathroom ceiling
The sraff were friendly, efficient and helpful. Facilities first rate and, considering the price of similar hotels a bit nearer the city centre, your hotel is excellent value for money. The breakfast and evening meals we had were also first rate. The coffee could have been slightly better quality, but that's a small quibble. Bus around the corner took us to city centre in 5 mins which was great. Loved looking around the colleges etc too. Thank you
The coffee that's all.....oh the man above us kept exercising his elephant in his clogs which was a tad noisy...ha ha.
Big beds, friendly staff and location.
Good quiet location, ideally suited for visiting Oxford itself or nearby Blenheim Palace and Windsor Castle. Previously visited Sept 2013 whilst refurbishment was taking place and the transformation following refurbishment is amazing. Friendly staff.
there was no towel rail in an otherwise perfect bathroom.
