Room clean, Staff friendly Convenient for Oxford
Restaurant prices a little high
VERY NICE HOTEL. CLOSE TO THE CITY AND TO SUMMERTOWN THE BREAKFAST WAS OF A VERY HIGH STANDARD .
Perfect for our visit - site seeing in oxford was just far enough out to walk into town and stroll back. lovely hotel allowed us to check in early.
Room and bathroom were newly decorated - shower was the best ever!
The staff were very friendly, food very tasty and the hotel was nice and clean and a great location, nice and quiet.
Just found a double bed a bit small :(
Room was clean and comfortable
Doors banged and poorly insulated. Plumbing was noisy from a nearby room. Sounded like a tuba. Walls were poorly insulated! Room was small even though described as an Executive Room. Poor value compared to Premier Inn. Reception staff Very disinterested
Breakfast was excellent
Lift was not working and we had to take our own large suitcases up the stairs
The location is good for Oxford at a reasonable rate.
There was excessive noise transmitted through the floor and ceiling. We were woken up by the neighjboring rooms. The premises are still being worked modernised but not finished. I got a splinter in my fingernail from one of the old banisters on route to my room.
Friendly, helpful staff, clean, comfortable, quiet, good location.
location, bed, quiet room
leak in bathroom ceiling
Big beds, friendly staff and location.
Good quiet location, ideally suited for visiting Oxford itself or nearby Blenheim Palace and Windsor Castle. Previously visited Sept 2013 whilst refurbishment was taking place and the transformation following refurbishment is amazing. Friendly staff.
there was no towel rail in an otherwise perfect bathroom.
Restaurant was clean and modern
1st room I was in had a layer of dust on everything. Moved rooms to an "executive room". The room was not much better. Old and tired.
Very comfortable hotel in an ideal location. Spacious ground floor room with good wardrobe space, good quality bed. Excellent dinner. Staff were very helpful and efficient. Would certainly stay there again if we visit Oxford.
Stayed in newly refurbished room on ground floor, very comfortable, clean and quiet. Good breakfast.
Bar area very small, no draught beer available just bottles.
The location was good, a short trip on a bus to the city centre. The reception and the bar areas were clean and modern.
The room was very small with dated and shabby furniture and furnishings. The bathroom was dirty, mould on the tiles and shower curtain. The bath trim was peeling off and the toilet didn't have a lid. Outside the room a fire door was wedged open!
- noise when any neighbor door is opened. - low expriend personnel
Good staff - young lady called Page especially - and free wi-fi.
I booked the room at a reasonable price, but would have been upset to have paid the standard rate for something I've seen bettered at budget hotels. Nothing special.
very pleasant stay close to oxford centre
The location, the welcome (we were able to check in two hours before the stated time, the staff, the rooms, the décor.
The fact that breakfast isn't included in the quoted price.
Excellent breakfast, friendly staff, Very quiet location
Dirty window frames
Clean, quiet room. Free car parking
No one in the dining room so went out for evening meal.
Newly refurbished rooms and bathroom Friendly staff Convenient location Free parking
Breakfast wasn't included in my tariff and was quite pricey at £12.95 a head. One of my children had to pay full price breakfast also and the other was only half price, whereas usually get kids free in many places.
wished they allowed early checkin
