This peaceful, elegant hotel with a country-manor style is a 10-minute walk from Oxford city centre. It has a restaurant and bar, a cosy lounge, and pleasant guest bedrooms.

Score from 619 reviews Very good
Morning reception staff not very well-informed. Unable to provide precise information on distance to city centre and other logistics.
the hotel is new and fresh. everything is new and very large room. the heater is very powerful and new design that you can control the time and the temperature. very large double room and divide as a good place for dressing. clean and new bathroom as well. wonderful place! many bus for city centre, such as 2, 2A, 500 and so on. just few mins by bus, very good location and a nice church next.
Location and Facilities
Spaciousness, the staff, the toiletries and facilitied provided
The amount of sound that passes through from the cooridoor into the room, ie loud squeaking floorboards and people in their own rooms down the hall (not even adjacent to our room). Very little soundproofing.
Location and staff good
Decor in need of a little updating but in progress
Spacious clean and comfy room
Good location with friendly attentive staff.
Room needed updating and modernising. Attention needed in bathroom due to mold and missing sealant around the bath. Bar area is rather small and a bit boring. Breakfast at £12.50 is overpriced.
It's been a while since I've last been their but they've done really well doing it up. I would return time after time.
Lovely hotel - good location with convenient parking. Did not eat there so cannot comment on food
Nice bright decor
Horendous noise from room above and corridor due to thin floors that made every noise sound like a herd of elephants. No sleep. Ruined what otherwise was a pleasant experience but would not stay there again or recommend due to noise through floor.
comfortable, spacious rooms, free Wi-Fi, gowns, good toiletries
Staff very friendly, room big size and very clean
U can hear almost everything next room even when they walk upstairs or next door and is hard to sleep unless you sleep like a pig.
The room was very cold and at times noisy with someone in the room above making alot of noise
Friendly staff good location
No draft drinks, bottled beer very expensive.
Rust on shower in room 215
Freezing room uncomfortable bed Faulty tv
Excellent position Room was clean and tidy. Good accommodation .
Cold water tap on bath did not produce any cold water. Radiator didn`t work. Not toomuch of an inconvenience as we were only there for one night but, staff seemed unconcerned when it was reported
Staff were friendly and room was good size. Public space was limited, but adequate. Food was good and portions generous. It struck me more as a business hotel.
Self service breakfast as food does not keep hot. Our room was as far away from reception as you could get.
Location Service at reception
Breakfast yogurts a month out of date Lack of bath
The politeness and friendliness of the staff. The warmth of the hotel in chilly December.
We thought the breakfast though good was over priced. The waitresses first language was not English and she did not understand a question when asked, even though we tried to explain further.
Big bright bedroom
Breakfast room felt a bit industrial
The exterior of the hotel is very welcoming and modern. The Reception area was warm and modern. Staff were friendly and quick to book in.
Not good value for money: The fixtures and fittings in the room were not in the best state, cracked tiles in the bathroom, fixtures looking ragged on the walls. The heating in the room was not sufficient, two additional heaters were in the room as well as the central heating. Combined they struggled to keep the room comfortable (it was still a fairly cold regardless). Along with evidence of mould in one corner. Suffice it to say in comparison to more affordable hotels e.g premier inns and travelodges this best western is not on par. Although hotels close to the city in oxford are more expensive there is an expectation attached to a brand such as best western, which they failed to live up to. I would recommend staying at a premier inn/travelodge outside oxford and using the money you save to pay for taxis if needed.
Great room, good size, clean. All usual extras and facilities. Free car parking with a good walk in to town.
Walk wouldn't suit everyone.
Plenty of staff who were all helpful and cheerful. Excellent breakfast and good evening meal. Very clean.
The bed was a bit hard.
