Room was freezing cold Breakfast was poor Bathroom very small Wifi was very slow Overpriced
rooms were nice spacious, clean and tidy, all facilities were great. Staff were helpful, and was only a 15/20 minute walk into town from hotel. Breakfast was brilliant.
car park very small, fairly expensive for an out of centre of town location.
The smallness of the room
nice and quiet
shower didn't work very well and wall lights ready to drop off
Confortable, quiet room with a good outlook over a garden,
Good restaurant and friendly staff.
The lift was not working on the day we visited. This was a bit of a pain with a small child.
the back car park
when you flash toilet, awful noise for 5 minutes. We report to the duty manager in morning but not even a bit a compassion. single room with a double bed too hot in room no ventilation in bathroom choice of water in shower: very hot or cold poor breakfast too expensive
Friendly staff Handy for the city with 2 bus stops within easy walking distance
Walls very thin, could hear next telephone conversations and people walking about upstairs!
It's all about the location and the staff were excellent
The price was a bit too high for the room facilities but I guess you pay for the location
Not well organised. Staff were lovely but the tap was broken in the bath and we had to move rooms late at night,
Our 2nd room was very clean, staff were very nice.
We had to change rooms, our first one had some kind of plumbing issue (incredibly loud pipe noise when toilet was flushed). This first one was also quite small, dingy and in need of redecorating.
The Location is very good, just a short walk from the Oxford University Park and very quiet.
Not very friendly staff. One doesn't feel at home/welcome, even when staying for two weeks. Example: Every day before entering the breaktfast room one has to give ones room number. Never experienced a think like that in a Hotel before!
The room, and especially the bathroom, was lovely and the beds were very comfortable. The reception staff were friendly.
At breakfast two pieces of cutlery on our table was dirty. Also, when I asked for milk for my tea, the waitress lifted a half full jug of milk from a table recently vacated by other guests and gave it to me.
Friendly, helpful staff. Very well-equipped bedrooms ( ironing board and iron, tea-making facilities, fluffy towels).
The decor of our room was a little dated. Breakfast was disappointing in terms of quality ( poor fruit salad especially) though not of quantity. Oh, and the lift - which has a nerve-wracking judder when it stops!
The staff was very friendly. Very clean and quiet. The hotel is in a walking distance to the Centre in a nice area. Very nice garden!
Size of the room was average (for our XL luggage).
wi-fi was not working
The staff was always very kind and cooperate to make our staying the best ever.
We didn't like the matres in our room. It needed a renovation.
Cleanliness, helpfulness of staff, breakfast, walking distance (albeit a long one) of city centre
In our opinion the food in main restaurant was not worth the money, the lamb hot pot seemed to have frozen vegetables in and it also seemed like a microwave meal; the duckling was in fact a duckling breast, absolutely miniscule, vegetables were also an added charge, it really is worth going into the city to eat at night.
Pricey for travel-lodge type room
Very creaky floors so lots of disturbance from people walking around in the room above meant I didn't get to sleep until 2am.
Hotel is clean and comfortable with very pleasant staff. Easy to get into Oxford centre.
Didn't like that our room window had no opening or air vent and there was no air con.
Tiny room, poor sound insulation, building work going on, bus or taxi ride from anywhere except Summertown..
It was within a 25 minute walk to the centre and had a car park. WiFi was okay once it finally got going.
Very expensive for an overnight stay with no breakfast. No aircon - only a small desk fan.
FREE PARKING, GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE, ROOMS WERE CLEAN, GREAT LOCATION FOR OXFORD, WALKING DISTANCE TO BUS FOR OXFORD, DIDNT USE THE CAR, GOOD VALUE, WOULD STAY HERE AGAIN,
FRONT OF HOTEL NEEDS SOME WORK, AS TO IMPROVE THE LOOK OF THE OUTSIDE OF THIS HOTEL, CAN SEE THEY WERE HAVING SOME WORK DONE, HALL WAYS NEED PAINTING AND UPDATING,WORK IN PROGRESS
