Room to small to many stairs to climb very hot even when all the radiators were turned off couldn't have the window open due to constant traffic noise couldn't get into room until gone three PM
We were upgraded to a superior room which was really lovely. A four poster bed which was so comfy, plus a separate dressing area and superb bathroom. Very helpful staff
Ambience, helpful staff, accomodation very nice, bar good
Friendly staff. General feel of place and decor throughout.
A bit noisy at times as in a corner room but did like being at the end of the corridor. Lack of ventilation in bathroom but opened the window! So all easily solved.
The hotel is right in the centre of town, there is parking, we arrived at 1pm and got one of the last spaces. Check in was easy and they accommodated my request for a room at the back of the hotel (room 11) as this was away from the main road. The room was beautifully presented, comfortable double bed and spacious shower. Breakfast was excellent which isn't always the case - I've stayed in Mayfair central London and had very bad breakfast included. Between us we had cooked and continental and it was all very good. They didn't haveany yoghurt as advertised but a minimal let down. All in all very good value for money. The bar looked great but we didn't have time to visit. I'd definitely recommend this hotel and the 'cosy' room was plenty spacious enough for my 6'2" boyfriend I don't be put off by the description!
Food was good in the restaurant and the waitress was interesting and attentive. The bed was comfortable.
The car park was full which means you then have to look for a car park , which is across the road but of you are new to shrewsbury how are you to know this!!!!
Accommodation, staff and food were brilliant! Highly recommended!
In General very good.
Meal portions are really small so money/ value relationship is not quite right at the restaurant, it was tasty though.
Just about everything
We have stayed twice, we love it but have stayed in a front room and didn't get any sleep and it was our 35th wedding anniversary this time so went for a river view room but the traffic noise was as bad hence no sleep again - can't believe there are so many boy racers in Shrewsbury!
comfort, courtesy, cleanliness, close to town, can sum it up as a great stay
Tea, biscuits and bottled water in the room. It would have been great if the empty bottle had been replaced the second night.
The room faced the road, so there was some noise from the traffic. The earplugs available in the room helped though.
Everything. We even ate there in the evening and the food was fantastic!
Nothing not to like!
the Hotel was well located and the interior decor and feel was better than we imagined, the, bar area was really light and comfortable and the food was perfect, the staff were friendly and helpful during our stay.
Friendly staff Very comfy bed Breakfast was lovely Food at lunch was delicious
Friendly & helpful staff Great food Interior design of hotel Good location
Bigger bed in the double room Improvements to water pressure Wifi
Rooms were very clean and comfortable. Staff were all very welcoming
Lovely room, very comfortable bed, excellent breakfast
Service at dinner a bit curt, food average and a bit overpriced
Hotel had a great location and was a very pretty hotel.
No enough range of food. Wi-fi does not reach all rooms, I was moved to a different room, this however was smaller for the same price !!
Staff were really friendly and helpful
Was clean and excellent device
The staff The breakfast
Pathetic wi-fi Early morning noisy plumbing
Beautifully furnished and decorated and the food is excellent. Our room was small but very comfortable and the hotel is also in a great location in wonderful Shrewsbury.
Wifi was patchy as our room was furthest away from the main hotel. Also breakfast service was a little lacking in friendliness and attentiveness on the second morning but overall we loved our stay here and would heartily recommend.
Fantastic understated facilities, and very friendly, but unfussy, excellent food, facilities - really great stay
