Everything about this hotel is too good for words to describe. The staff, without exception are so friendly and so professional. They just put you at ease. The food in the restaurant (breakfast and dinner) is superb. The rooms are well decorated, clean and comfortable. Nothing

Welcoming, well designed and in an excellent location. The hotel has taken a series of interesting, historic buildings and enhanced them to provide modern comfortable accommodation. The staff were friendly but unobtrusive and the food was fantastic. Given its quality this hotel was also extremely good value. Highly recommended.

The staff was very pleasant and helpful. The hotel is in a perfect location for easy walking access throughout Shrewsbury. I loved the quaintness of my room that incorporated modern finishes in the bathroom. The old world charm of the dining rooms complete with the working wood furning fireplace was the finishing touch. I would definately stay there again! There is not one thing I didn't love about this Hotel.

Excellent Menu and food at every meal. Chef is of 5 star standard. A very friendly efficiently run hotel -by staff who operate to a very high standard and for once -in this day and age- there are plenty of them! You always felt that you were being looked after in a very easy going though thoroughly professional manner. The bed was fantastic! So comfortable! We have no hesitation in recommending this hotel as one of the best we have stayed in on a short stay-we shall visit again! Some road noise if you have a room at the front and the bath waste system was a bit fiddly. Certainly not enough to stop us staying again.

Room clean and bed comfortable. Meal in restaurant excellent. What more can you ask?! A bit too "minimalist" for my liking - but that's just a personal observation - not really a criticism.

A welcoming hotel with friendly, helpful staff. The food was wonderful and the rooms very comfortable. The hotel is perfectly situated - close to the Abbey, the river and the shops. No lift although staff were available to help with the luggage.

I absolutely loved the whole ambience of the place, coming in to the open fire, the lighting, everything The only thing that spoilt our night was the fact that we were not aware of the traffic and wish we had chosen a rear room as what with the sirens and boy racers I did not get much sleep at all. Thank god the place was so beautiful I can erase that from my memory lol.

Parking was a nightmare! We had booked the hotel because it had parking but when we got back in the evening, the car park was full and we had to go to the ncp. The room was also quite noisy, I don't think it had double glazing and faced onto the main road.

Breakfast and the room was clean Ithink having a superior room on the Front with the noise from the street is misleading . This should then be classfied as a standard room . Also the bathrooon window had no way of covering itselft without keeping the blind down and this made the room not a solid option for bathroom placement

Excellent and friendly staff, beautifully decorated rooms and a great shower. Top class restaurantand a great breakfast. Also free wifi and single occupancy pricing - a rarity in UK for business travel. Overall the best value hotel I have stayed in for some time. Would be my first choice for staying in Shrewsbury, have stayed in a few others but none came close to this. Not much parking room but this is not surprising given the location.
