The food in the restaurant was excellent.
The gym and pool restaurant was good also excellent b/fast
The wifi in room I had was nonexistent 231
The hotel and restaurant staff were very accommodating and friendly. The chocolate covered strawberries were a lovely surprise.
The spa and pool facility staff were quite aloof. If you have poor vision then the pool area is bad because it is so dark in there.
Facilities good pleasant staff. Pool amenities good Food in waterside restaurant excellent what we had and couldn't fault breakfast
Room was comfortable and views were lovely. Staff were friendly and helpful. Spa is great!!
Wifi isn't in rooms which was a little annoying when we wanted to book something.
Awful menu in restaurant. V Unimaginative and poor quality of cooking. V greasy food - impossible to have healthy meal . Disappointing . However high praise for fresh fruit salad in breakfast choices.
Leisure and spa facilities Buffet breakfast, excellent you could choose what you wanted hot and cold - when you were ready to eat it. Bar food in evening. Comfy bed. Receptionists
Stale food left on top shelf of wardrobe! Went for breakfast on final morning was no longer a buffet breakfast. Hot food taken on order - staff that day were unfriendly and the atmosphere was not good, nobody smiling or helpful. Cold choices and crockery were not filled up and had to wait ages for some. Got hot breakfast when ordered but was cold by the time sauces were delivered. We all felt uncomfortable.
All as good as ever. Comfy room with the essentials - tea making & an ironing board. And great restaurant service & food - lovely Thai chicken curry. Spot on!
Gym is good.

Heavenly Afternoon Tea
Bed rather too soft for our liking.
Canal side location, breakfast was good, but that really was all!
The booking.com profile for this hotel is exceptionally flattering - doesn't reflect reality. In our opinion, this is not a 4-star hotel - it is a glorified A-road motel. Food and drink prices in the restaurant were extortionate given the average quality. Overall, an underwhelming experience.
Excellent hotel and excellent thermal suite. Highly recommended.
Nice food in leisure Complex
Expensive for what you get, and why would you build a new hotel with thin walls between bedrooms that means you can hear what you neighbours are up to?!
SPA facilities were very good.
Room and its bathroom were very small. One of us had to sit on the bed as only one sitting chair. Could hardly gain access to the room with cases as entrance was very narrow. We stayed for 4 nights and it was probably 3 nights too long.
Leisure facilities were very good Staff very pleasant Lovely location on the canal A peacock in the grounds is a bonus
Everything was perfect!!!
Lovely location, fabulous food and spa. Staff very friendly and helpful
We liked everything!
Breakfast was not a great experience it was buffet but everything was empty staff were informed but were not filled quickly!
Friendly and helpful staff. Restaurant had a proper bar with draught ale. Extensive menu. Next to A5 but very quiet. Very good breakfast and lightning fast service. Room properly laid out with good lighting, mugs not silly small cups in tea tray. plenty of sockets in the right place and double doors out to patio, albeit this would not feel secure if open in summer (Ground floor) Look on their website for packages. Would happily stay again
Two beds pushed together one mattress ok other poorly sprung. Room and bathroom just about big enough. smaller than travelodge or premier inn to give you an idea.
could not get sunday roast at7 pm was advertised till 9 thirty
The Shropshire breakfast and friendly greeting was spot on.
The irish breakfast the sausage was poor compared to the Shropshire one!
Location and comfort
Spa,maggage,food,room all excellent.
The room although a little expensive was very good, shower was excellent, the bed was lovely
The restaurant wasn't very well managed, the evening meal whilst ok was over priced a table in our party waited over an hour for their food, the breakfast was good but the service wasn't brilliant, more staff training and organisation is needed.
Location was great and staff very good and generally services were more than adequate.
The Beds!. They were very soft and when asked if there were any options for a firmer mattress we were told "all the mattresses were the same. We had to stay another night in the area and therefore booked ourselves in to Premier Inn so we could get a decent nights sleep. Come on Lion Quays you put yourself up as the premium hotel in the area, sort your beds out Please
