Between Chester and Wrexham, this quiet country house has beautiful gardens, swimming pool, gym and beauty salon. Best Western Llyndir Hall Hotel and Spa is surrounded by the North Wales countryside.
Score from 195 reviews Very good
The room was smaller than expected but very clean and lovely nonetheless. Absolutely no noise, and black out curtains so an excellent nights sleep! The food was also lovely and we couldn't fault the service from the staff.
People coughing and showering in adjacent rooms felt alarmingly close. A shame because this is a lovely hotel with an excellent breakfast and access to gym and spa.
Great amenities, handy for Llangollen and walking.
beautiful place best value for money very friendly stuff
We liked the comfortable bed, feather duvet and the large TV. The lovely gardens and the canal view from the room.
The corporate feel of the place and impersonal decor. The limited evening menu offered in the restaurant.
all the staff where very helpful, always there to help
Spa facilities excellent food , beds so comfy
Nothing not to like
Sunday lunch was lovely, breakfast very filling, spa facilities were good hotel staff very helpful Rooms were prepared well and very clean
Price of spa facilities was way too expensive as we paid for massages, then extra for dual treatment room, and still not able to use the snow cave and hydrotherapy pool A better explanation of how to go about our treatments would have helped as it seemed the staff just took for granted we knew where to be and where the pool etc were
Phone signal poor at the bar/restaurant
A good stay excepting the below. Very helpful staff.
The room was quite small and sound-proofing is not at all good, not good for a quiet night's sleep.
The room was spacious, clean, modern.Spa was so relaxing and the girls really look after you.
Bed to soft for me
Facilities. Most of staff.
Terse breakfast manageress who obviously doesn't do mornings?
The wait for food was such a long time in wAterside bar we waited over an hour for a sandwich
Friendly staff and lovely food in Nico's restaurant. Room was warm and comfortable with lovely canal views.
Food in waterside restaurant was very expensive and main meal portions very skimpy, side orders we requested were not served but did appear on the bill !
Take your jewellery off before you use the spa
Nice hotel. Comfortable and clean. Staff good.
Location. Didn't expect it to be on the A5. Glad we upgraded to a canal view. Not easy to get In and out of with the traffic.
1.The grounds were excellent and because we were celebrating my birthday I was treated to some spa treatments these were amazing, 2.Food was excellent and good quality. 3.Staff amazing in restaurant.
because we had an extra bed in our room for our 11 year old son the room was a bit cramped it could of been more organised, we ended up moving things around ourselves as struggled to get past small bed it was a tight squeeze
Lovely spot by the Llangollen canal with very comfortable rooms & good food options. And the rare opportunity to find a peacock who likes eating sausages for his breakfast everyday!
Rooms on the ground floor feel a bit overlooked by the tow path opposite. Ask for a higher room.
location perfect for our canal boat holiday for the following week.
room was dated and in need of refurbishment
Food Location Leisure centre
Poor service in restaurant Big delay for cooked breakfast Noise from fan in room 100 Bed was too soft and needs replacing
The hotel location was very rural, picturesque and well maintained outside. Food was outstanding, slightly pricey, although good quality. The leisure facilities were perfect, clean, tidy and staff were friendly.
The room we booked was meant to be a double, however we were given two single beds pushed together, which wasn't comfortable. The bin in our bathroom was full of used sanitary towels!! And the bathroom door was jamming. We made a complaint and were given 20% off our booking.
Worth paying the extra £25 or treat yourself to a spa package for the day everything close together and short walking distance excellent food both hotel and Nicos facilities in club house good but spa facilities are amazing
Breakfast food diplenished the later you arrived but helpful if you asked for anything that was in short supply
Breakfast was excellent.
Various complaints about the room - noisy at night (heard conversation next door, loo flushing etc) no hot water in the morning for a shower, cold tea in the teapot when we arrived - but no apology given at reception when receptionist was informed. I got the impression they were doing us a favour in letting us use the hotel instead of the other way around!
