Very poor signposting - everyone we spoke to had done the same thing us us and tried to check into the spa. Used the spa on the morning of my stay - staff very unhelpful - in terms of finding way around, using wrong changing room then getting told off for using wrong changing room! Generally spoilt a stay I was looking forward to.

Very relaxing atmosphere in the hotel. Breakfast was lovely. Staff extremely helpful and pleasant. Room was starting to show some signs of wear and tear - the leather effect headboards were worn down to the fabric in the centre.

The room was very comfortable. Decent bed and I liked that the bathrooms had a bath. Size of water bottles in room could have been bigger or two of each of still/sparkling. Only a minor point

Staff were friendly. Food was good. Rooms were basic, and we could hear everything from the rooms next to us. Not four star! Would not go again.

Overall good value for money. If prices were higher it would not be place to stay. Bedrooms/bathroom very small. Restaurant staff not helpful or friendly. Breakfast buffet cold. Carpet on stairs worn to thread.

The breakfast was very good It was a 4* hotel but there was only one bedside lamp. We asked for another but was told that they were all secured and couldn't be moved. The one in our room could be moved. The room was therefore dark and dingy and I couldn't read when I went to bed. The staff were unhelpful, saying they would bring one up to our room or if not they would ring us to let us know but they didn't do either.

I like staying in a hotel I know at a convenient place with good parking and good food The room I booked and usually request was not available. The TV could not get BBC programmes.. There was no chair in the room and I had to request one Staff said they were hard to locate. The cost of 4 nights quoted by the booking people was not what I paid as each night the costs were different and much more than expected. Very Expensive. Having been staying since Lion quays opened I will not be staying again without an explanation and an apology.
