Lion Quays Waterside Hotel and Resort  

The bed was extremely comfortable and the bedding and towels of good quality. Cleanliness was excellent too.

The location as we were on a canal holiday and wanted a luxury break. The Spa facilities were excellent and I would have wished to take advantage of the services but did not have the time.

The room we were given was of a poor standard and we discussed this on check out. If check-in staff had been completely honest then we would not have taken the room we were offered. The main issue was not discovered until we were about to retire and we felt it then too late to chane rooms.

Very comfortable with excellent Spa facilities, the food is equivalant to a top class gourmet restaurant at pub prices, wonderfullly presented, excellent quality and taste. The staff are cheerful and friendly. I have been several times with my husband and decided to treat my daughter for her birthday she loved it, the standard just gets better better.

Its very close to the busy main road which you can hear with your window open but window closed its a great location

The hotel room was a touch smaller than what we expected. The description said seating area , bathrobes & slippers. There was only 1 chair in the room and a small table with it,also there was. I sign of the bathrobes & slippers. Also description said we had full use of the facilities but were told by spa staff that we had to pay extra if we wished to use the snow room, plunge pool etc.... Having stayed previously in The Moreton park 200 yards up the road I thought my wife and I would be staying somewhere much refine.dont get me wrong the resort is lovely and staff are very friendly, the food we ordered in the Waterside resteraunt was lovely and could not be faulted. Overall we did enjoy our stay but some minor issues tainted it slightly. We went on a 2 night winter warmer deal which we thought was good value.

Service in Nico's restaurant painfully slow even when empty Upgraded double canal view room was not worth upgrading to as it was small, basic and no balcony Breakfast table got cleared away when you had only gone to get your breakfast this happened twice and needed coffees and juices replacing which seems a bit of a waste to me.

For us, its location coupled to the advances made in the complex since our previous visit. This is a combination of facilities that shows committment to detail for its customers, for that we thank the management

The following are of a minor nature. THE POSITIONING OF THE LEISURE FACILITIES IN RELATION TO THE MAIN HOTEL BUILDINGS. POOR ATTENTION TO CUSTOMERS IN THE RESTAURANT, EMPTY PLATES LEFT ETC, BOTH EVENING & BREAKFAST.
