This place is clean and well run. no problems.
Loved the room, big with a large comfy bed. En-suite was clean and well stocked. Staff were really friendly.
Staff were very helpful
Room was underlit, 2 lightbulbs needed replacing.
Nice place, good facilities.
Very thin walls - could hear people talking, snoring and generally just moving on either side.
Attentiveness of staff Nothing was too much trouble Large comfy beds Food was excellent Atmosphere happy and organised
only little things......Mugs for tea in rooms, too small and not enough choice of tea in rooms......ran out of fave lager Rothaus!...... Alot of windows did not open!!
Awful breakfast, dry rubber scrambled eggs, no fried eggs, burnt bacon, burnt sausage. High cost/poor quality. Pubic hairs in the bath. (Not ours). Room was ice cold, space heater didn't work. No satellite or cable tv. Poor facilities. Slow internet. Very primitive.
Situation, grounds, bedroom, food, staff. Everything
Post wedding ....riotous kids running around in the dining room while parents ignored stares of other guests
Tiny bedroom with average breakfast. We stayed for a wedding & paid £170, you couldn't swing a cat in the room. We were very disappointed for the money we paid. Would not return
Very nice and clean accomandation a good night sleep, nice grounds
food was only not as good as we would of expected. Reception was not very helpful. We was not offered a table when we ate in the evening. Our breakfast table was given away whilst we had gone to get our breakfast.
Friendly staff, coped well with very busy breakfast
Air con would have been better although a fan was provided
The location fitted our need perfectly, we were visiting family in the area. Our room was light, well decorated and during the week that we spent there was kept clean and tidy by the staff. Johnathan in reception was especially helpful.
The lighting in the bathroom was poor i.e. no light on mirror for shaving and make-up application. The air conditioning in the bathroom was very noisy. A more up-to-date T;V. would have been appreciated. All of that noted we would happily stay at the Lismoyne again.
Beautiful building and lovely and quiet.
Staff slightly grumpy.
We were upgraded on arrival as the online booking agent hadn't passed on our need for a pull-out bed for our son. The breakfast buffet was really good and the lady on reception in the morning could not have been more helpful. Overall, a good hotel experience.
The young man at reception on arrival was unhelpful initially and when I asked for a bed for my son he just shrugged and said the guy who deals with that had left for the day. I then asked for a fan and he just dumped one on the reception desk. He obviously thought better of this after a few minutes he returned to the desk and offered us a bigger room with a sofa large enough to accommodate my son. But it was all a bit grudging. After running a bath the next morning (the bathroom was upstairs in the room/suite), water started to pour through the ceiling and a large crack appeared. The receptionist acted quickly and was most apologetic. The only other thing I'd warn is that if you have a room directly off the central courtyard, people will be sitting just the other side of your French doors, drinking and laughing until late at night. Luckily we're all pretty sound sleepers.
We liked the secluded location away from the main road. The staff were friendly and attentative. Plenty of parking space. We cannot rate the food as we had rooms only.
The older part of the building was quite tidy downstairs but our rooms were in need of attention. My room looked out over the roof of the main entrance. The roof was covered in debris, cigarette ends, bottles etc. The place needs money spending on it to bring it back up to 4 star.
Breakfast was really good although replenishment could have been quicker.
We stayed for 2 nights but we did not have any maid service after the first night. The bathroom had a lot of spiders, some of them were massive!!!
It was a pleasant clean and predominantly well run hotel. We will stay there again hopefully next year.
The toaster was grossly inefficient. It heated the dining room to an unacceptable level as was the case last time we stayed at the hotel. It didn't toast the bread put into it though.
Location and hotel
Moody unfriendly receptionist and lumpy hard bed!
I liked the location, it being close to the motorway network. I liked the friendly, polite staff, and I particularly liked the very competitive price
The location, dinner and breakfast was excellent..
The shower in room 21 was shocking, no water pressure at all.. however coped with it and told the lady on reception.
Beautiful location of the hotel inside a park similar property. Very friendly and helpful staff.
No parking spaces left for hotel clients when venues at the hotel. Very long corridors to reach certain hotel rooms especially with luggage.
Young inexperienced staff very pleasant and obliging (but certainly not very well trained). Food was very good in the restaurant. Disabled parking right at the door was appreciated.
Location of room - after advising in advance of disability - arrived to find our room was the furthest it could have been from reception & dining room on first floor. Room overlooked courtyard where guests were generally noisy quite late and because of the hot weather it was impossible to close the windows. Overpriced for standard of accommodation
We liked everything about the place,we could not thought anything, it was excellent 100%
We wanted a location close to Farnborough; it is.
The restaurant had a limited menu as compared with what we expected. The bedroom had very localised lighting making it almost impossible to read there without a back light (e.g. an Ipad). No good as an overnight address for a business meeting.
Friendly helpful staff Lovely atmosphere and setting Stylish and comfortable dining room
No lift Only one bedside table by a double bed Breakfast hotplate didn't keep the cooked items hot Needed to ask for tea bags and milk
Staff in all areas were friendly and efficient and everything was clean.
Room was clean but basic and tired-looking. Breakfast was adequate, but an unappetising and limited choice for the money.
