For business use it had everything I needed;eg, free wi-fi,; reasonable menu; good size TV; good selection of TV channels; good service; good location; good size rooms; garden; comfy bed; clean. When I asked for an alternative (mushrooms instead of salad) it was provided without any hesitation. Needs longer ethernet cable in the rooms; did not like the sausages at breakfast; chips looked like they had been pre-cooked and cooked again and so looked full of fat

The staff were brilliant and welcoming room quiet, clean with a comfortable bed and great shower. Breakfast was very good. I had a meeting in Aldershot and this hotel was perfectly situated for that purpose. Took me 15 minutes to drive to venue. Would stay here again very highly recommend.

Nice looking hotel with good car parking I should have had a double room but the hotel had not updated Booking.com so I was given a single room which was tight on space and no view apart from a flat roof with plastic domes over air vents. Food not great, my steak was cold in the middle the plate had not been heated, vegetables over cooked in all 3 out of 10. Breakfast in the morning was just OK, but the sausages were not cooked in the middle and although I was in the restaurant 20 minutes before closing I felt they couldn't wait to get rid of me. When I checked out, the receptionist asked if stay was ok, so I told him about the steak....He said he would tell the chef...that was it. Would not stay there again.

Everything about this hotel I found excellent, the staff were polite, helpful and efficient the room was first class clean, large and comfortable the public areas were very comfortable I found a nice spot on a leather chair in front of a log fire (brilliant) my evening meal was first class as was the inclusive breakfast, I would definitely stay here again and have already recommended it to many of my colleagues. Not a complaint, but Carling lager on draught would have been nice

Clean, great value for money, spacious rooms, free parking, good location. The Breakfast buffet was out of many items, the staff seemed flustered and nobody seemed to be in charge of the situation.

Staff friendly and helpful. Large double bed was very comfortable .Room big enough to enjoy being in The waitress doing breakfast was a bit sulky because we turned up at 9.20 and they finish at 9.30 . Not rude but obviously not happy

It was near the location of my meeting at a reasonable price. The evening meal was very expensive and not especially good quality.

The convenient location Sadly this hotel could be much better than it is. It is badly in need of refurbishment and regular scrutiny for broken items and areas in need of maintenance. There is also a need for someone to go through the very pleasant building and remove all incongruous art work which is not in keeping with the 1920's 'Agatha Christie' feel of the hotel. Also purple leather chairs on a red carpet is a crime of epic proportions. A little TLC and a more focussed approach to the Agatha Christie appeal of this hotel could turn it into a little gem. As it stands it is okay but nothing to write home about.

Attending my brothers wedding reception held at venue thought service was really poor . Upon arrival I checked in at 430pm to be given my room smelling of sick ,excrement on the toilet ,the towels in bath covered in sick and the bedding screwed up covered in sick . Having a preganant partner made this issue worse . I took the duty manager to see the room who was horrified and did give us another room fairly quickly . During the reception ,the bar staff had no idea of what drinks were by name and couldnt use the till , it took 10mins to order and pay for a round of 5 drinks . I havent taken this further as the girl on reception was very helpful on checking out and actually asked me if I wanted to report the incident to the manager which I wont . Having complained on the Saturday , I did feel from some hotel staff by their attitude to me that I had done something wrong . I would never stay again or recommend rooms or weddings etc to anyone

It is a small hotel and the staff is customer service oriented in all departments: food & beverage, reception desk and small information services For September the temperature is exceptionally high and the bed wasn't dressed accordingdly. The shower would be better if more water pressure could be used.

The housekeeping was very good (and I am fussy). Room was comfortable as well as clean. Breakfast was plentiful. Staff were helpful and friendly. No net curtains at the window so had to keep drapes drawn and light on when getting ready. Shame - but it was either than or frighten the neighbours!!

The staff were extremely helpful and courteous. Nothing was too much trouble. Downstairs the corridor on route to our bedroom was quite narrow which made the two sets of double doors difficult to get through, especially with luggage.

The hotel was very clean and fitted our purpose of needing accommodation for one night but would have been happy to stay for longer. Bedroom very spacious with nice bed. Breakfast very filling. A bit difficult to find from the road. We drove past it and had to turn around but no real problem.
