A fabulous old property with all one could wish for, nice room, good food and easy parking. This was a return visit, as so impressed previously. Location near Dorchester was first class and really suited our needs
Comfy beds, attentive host, yummy breakfast, great facilities - only wish we were there in the summer to take advantage of the pool and tennis courts!
Very friendly staff, offering a relaxed place to stay - felt welcomed and safe as a lone female traveler. Lovely breakfast too!
The room was rather smaller and "extras" not as extensive (such as bathroom toiletries you might get in other hotels) as I would have expected for the price charged and a 5 star rating.
Comfortable bed Good quality food for breakfast
Bit drafty Shower curtain difficult to get on with Not local facilities
What a great few days we had in Dorchester staying at Llittle court. We felt so welcome and Amanda was great with maisie (our 4 year old) and even got some satsumas for the breakfast on day 2! We had a go at tennis on Sunday morning and sat down by the fire in the guest lounge and had lovely heart warming sherry. We will definately be returning in the summer so we can use the beautiful outdoor pool! Thanks Amanda and all staff
Enviroment. Position. Cleanliness. Made to feel welcome and at home. Friendly and helpful staff. Top draw breakfast, almost. Thank you.
No duvet made the bed almost not warm enough in the middle of the night. Really substandard pillows. Why spoil a really excellent breakfast with budget croissants?
Beautiful building in lovely setting, we had the four poster room so cannot comment on the size of the regular doubles but ours was very spacious with plenty of storage, seating area with large screen tv and in room tea/coffee facilities, nice pub down the road for evening meal and a short drive from Dorchester with lots of other options
Poor shower, very little pressure on water but then it is probably one of the down sides of such an old building
The lady who greeted us was very welcoming and very friendly .i had phoned to inform her of a late check in and it was no problem at all .lovely place ,very quiet and peaceful and very comfortable .
Amanda was wonderful! Her warm welcome and friendliness throughout our stay was second to none. Despite constant rain during our stay, we managed to explore the beautiful garden and surrounding areas thanks to some great tips from Amanda! We even decided to stay an extra night. The complimentary sherry, daily newspapers and board games in the guest lounge were lovely extra touches and the breakfasts were absolutely fabulous!
It rained so heavily on the first night that we got very little sleep due to the loud noise of rainfall banging on the roof; a minor problem and we slept well for the rest of our stay.
8 rooms only so small and quiet, in a characterful building, well equipped, close to Dorchester, unobtrusive but very friendly and helpful staff. Tennis court and (though inevitably not terribly warm) outdoor swimming pool add to the sense of a country house hotel - but catering is breakfast only.
Everything about this place was of high standard liked the personal touch breakfast was lovely freshly cooked and the room was clean and comfortable
Character of building and gardens, excellent host. Very comfortable room, nice large bathroom. All staff were exceptionally friendly.
Shower over bath had weak pressure
Peace and quiet
the setting of the property, the quality of the accommodation, the award winning breakfast and the friendliness of the staff and owner.
Helpful and friendly host and staff, lovely room, great freshly cooked breakfast. Very secure location and parking.
Probably our own fault but we were cold in bed because there was only one blanket on the bed, we should have looked for another before the middle of the night!
A very comfortable hotel and a very comfortable bed. We had a most warm and friendly welcome from all concerned.
There was a marked lack of storage space in our bedroom. I don't obviously know if that situation applies in the other bedrooms as well.
Breakfasts were excellent Lounge was pleasant and welcoming
Pillows were unsatisfactory Elderly may find the stairs difficult.
A wonderful place to spend a couple of days with excellent service, beautiful rooms, gorgeous views and picture perfect gardens and pool!
There was absolutely nothing we didn't like.
Room Breakfast Pool Friendliness of staff
It felt exclusive, quiet, and stunning countywide all around.
The pillows felt poor quality, and the towels were very old. BUT the rest was truly excellent and we really enjoyed our stay and were very glad we stayed there and no where else. It was superb.
Private swimming pool & tennis court, peace & quiet, ease of locality to dorchester, lovely gardens.
The gardens, the swimming pool, the breakfast, the warm greeting and the hospitality of all staff. Nothing was too much bother and attention to detail like the provision of complimentary sherry in the lounge.

Warm welcome on arrival, very relaxing atmosphere. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Little court is a beautiful place to stay, with the added bonus of a tennis court and outdoor pool. Within walking distance to Dorchester that have some lovely restaurants. Breakfast at little court was perfect! The room was spotless, modern and comfortable. I'm very much looking forward to booking again when we get the chance for a mini break.
Possibly a bit of an earlier check in time, although we were told if we did arrive early we could still use the facilities
