The general manager was welcoming and comedic which my partner and i liked. The room was well equipped with comfy bed, decent bathroom, the area was quiet. The meal in the al carte restaurant was amazing and quite easy on the wallet.

The room was very clean and had all the facilities in it. Breakfast was reasonable and the staff were very helpful and friendly

The lodge was very cold and I spent most of my time there wrapped in a blanket. It would have been nice if the room had been warmed up. The bannister upstairs was very wobbly too which I felt was dangerous

Good position for our journey from Kent to North England. Handy half-way hotel that we have used for the past 3 years

I didnt arrive at the hotel untill late so it took a few mins to find someone to book me in. But to be fair, I arrived 10pm

It was not very clear how you go about ordering meals it was only on the last night I found out that the bar stayed open till 11 pm I thought it closed the same time as the restaurant

Our bedroom was a good size and the bed was extremely comfortable. The bathroom was large, with good lighting, especially th light over the washbasin - good for putting on make-up! Everythin was very clean.

There was a dreadful draft around the outside door.

It took too long to sort out heating in the bathroom and attention to detail eg. The picture sliding out of its frame in the bedroom, was less than impressive.
