A really lovely atmosphere and exceptionally friendly and helpful staff. The manager gave us a lift in to town rather than us paying for a taxi! Lovely cooked breakfast and large room with brand new bathroom. Very quiet and beautiful gardens . Leaving! We could have stayed longer..

The fact that despite a wedding going on during our stay, we were not made to feel any less important as guests and little touches like signs going up on the dining room doors, when it was in use, to tell others to use alternative routes. It seems that nothing is too much trouble for the manager and he aims to please everyone and does a sterling job. Double glazing would help reduce the traffic noise in some rooms.

The staff were very friendly The rooms are dated and could do with modernising to reflect the room rate. The room we were in wasn't worth £125 but we had no choice as we were at a wedding there.

“Wonderful location, superb house and stylish/comfortable rooms. The owners/family went out of their way to make you feel welcome, very pleasant and friendly throughout our short stay. The B&B is in a lovely peaceful rural setting, Nothing was too much trouble and the breakfast choice and quality of food was superb. We would definately go back for a longer stay the quality of service and choice of menu would rival some of the 5 star hotels we have stayed in, thoroughly recommended.” Paul, Kettering |

“The convienience in distance for our reason for over night stay. Early service for christening following morning. 15 minutes/20minutes drive away from church. We were not able to take advantage of breakfast as we needed to got up early to get ready and go. The lady who booked us in was very pleasant and same lady booked us out. although we booked in early, the room was ready so we were able to go in before time. She said we could use the facilities why we waited if the room wasn't ready. The room was lovely and so quiet and peacefull.” Catherine, Portsmouth |
