It was in the city centre which I needed it to be. The public rooms were ok. The staff were friendly especially the breakfast hostess who was very helpful. Free wifi in the lounge but few power points. It was only £5 for internet usage in the room. It's a tired hotel. The rooms were small. The car park is not part of the hotel but a shoppers car park adjacent to the hotel. Once the shopping mall closes at 6pm there is no way to get from the car park to street level without going down a flight of stairs. This is a major inconvenience if one has bags. Drop them off at the hotel first - there is a single lane pull-in in front of the hotel. You have to do the same when you leave so it starts to become a logistics exercise. A pint of San Miguel is £4.50 in the hotel bar. A pint of Guiness is £2.10 in a pub 200 yards away. It wasn't a bad hotel, but next time I am in Liverpool I will try to find something better for the same price.

I couldn't get overly excited about any aspect of my stay here! 1-There was no internet access during my stay 2-The drain in the room stank when you ran the water 3-Breakfast is cleared away before you have a chance to finish(i have never came across this in another hotel)

The Rooms were clean, the bed was comfy, the breakfast was good... Overall and for a 2 night stay a very recommendable hotel. Value for money was given. Couldn't open the window totally. It was a bit loud outside as well (we had our window to the backyard, not the street side)

Good breakfast. I also appreciated the 2 options of pillows; firm and soft. The carpet and bedding in the bedroom were both quite badly stained which was very disappointing. There are too many pieces of paper around the room; no smoking, breakfast in bed. However, I left the hotel not knowing what services the Holiday Inn had to offer, and it was merely by chance that I stumbled upon breakfast in the morning. I didn't appreciate my breakfast table being wiped-down with a very dirty dish- cloth. Some of the staff were very friendly but this was others overshadowed by those that were less than friendly and rather dismissive in their attitude.

Proximity to Lime Street Station and City Centre facilities. Room a good size, clean and comfortable. Felt safe. Noise from the air conditionning on the roof outside - I think the double glazing is not all that efficient

I had booked a twin room through booking.com and on arrival at the the hotel the receptionist informed me that it was a double that I had booked and that they were fully booked and did not have a twin. I was 100% certain that I had booked a twin, on checking the print out from booking.com it said a double. However after leaving our cases in receptionist (because we had arrived much earlier than checking in time, which we knew the room would not be ready and fully expected this) we went shopping. On our return the hotel staff had managed to arrange a twin for us. So top marks for the customer service, also all the staff were very friendly and very informative about the local attractions. I would definately stay again especially as they had smoking rooms.

Super friendly effecient staff on the front desk. Easy check in, the rooms were spotless, bed really comfortable. Liked the bar, staff were friendly and service was prompt. When we checked out the desk staff took our bags and held them and the receptionist was very nice. On our return to collect our bags the staff called a taxi for us which was there really quickly. All in all our stay at the Holiday Inn was brilliant. We'll definitely book again.
