The location was the only good thing about this (hotel) The reception staff were unhelpful the room had wallpaper hanging off, the tiles in the bathroom were comming away from the wall in fact my wife nor myself could bring ourselfs to use the bath/ shower we stayed only one night in the morning we both just used the hand basin to wash our hands and left asap we put our cat in a cattery for the weekend and the cat had the better accommodation.

The first room we were given was very small. Supposedly a double it was barely adequate as a single! The window would not open and the "maintenance" staff could not release it.We were told all the rooms were full so we could not have an alternative. On telling the reception staff we wished to leave and wanted our credit card cancelling surprise surprise another room was found!! This was better but still on the small side. In addition the bath tap could not be turned of fully, so we could hear running water all night.Needless to say we will never return to this Hotel and will actively advise friend never to go either.

Simply the worst hotel we have evr stayed in. An experience we will never repeat. Dirty, torn and broken furniture, staff attitude awful, entertainment fiited the clientel. My complaint about the filthy room was dealt with, but no staff or management member reported to me following up on my complaint.. I made written complaints and left my number, guess what? no one from the organisation has clled. What else did I expect

We had a lovely stay here, found the staff to be friendly and the hotel clean. The hotel must have been very grand in it's time, although now dated it still retains a lovely atmosphere and is certainly good value for money. The entertainment was aimed more towards the older generation but was pleasant enough.

Nothing! We were probably given the worst room in the hotel. Very pokey, dark room. Clean but shabby. Dull lighting. Delapidated bathroom, no hairdrier. Very old-fashioned - no facility for charging items to room, cash payment or a £2 charge for credit and debit cards.

It was a convenient place to stay on our journey to Ireland. With it being near to Holy head, we would have thought that there would be a cooked breakfast available, but there was not. They did let us have cereal and toast but that was all that was on offer. The dining area was not very well marked out to what to do and at 9.50 per person, I would have thought that the staff would have been there to assist, but they were only waiting for the time to come when it was closed so that they could help themselves to what was left before diners had finished.

staf at reception were very friendly and patient as we went to them with what we thought were problems, but it was us not knowing how to work things. they were very understanding and treated us brilliantly with a good sense of humour, sending someone to our room to help. we requested a quiet room and that is exactly what we had. we would definately stay again. good value for money.

I was staying for one night prior to catching the morning Holyhead ferry to Ireland. The whole deal was superb. I had the evening meall/carvery which was both great value and of excellent quality. I was leaving before breakfast but the staff set up a toast breakfast and coffee for me. Additionally they supplied me with a cereal. They were very efficient and very helpful. Thank you all. Nothing, the hotel was dirty, falling to pieces, cold unwelcoming, food passable, not great. Would not wish to stay there again. My husband and I have travelled the world, and this is the worst hotel we have ever stayed in. A disgrace to llandudno.

It was good value for money and the staff were very helpful. The entertainment in the evening was excellent. It is right next to the pier and an easy walk to the shops. The bedroom and bathroom was clean and more than adequate for a short stay. The old hotel was a bit 'tired' and needs a face lift. But considering the price, my husband and I thought it was good.

Both myself and my husband had so many good reports about this hotel that we went for a 4 day break quite recently. I must admit we had a wonderful time, our room was on the fifth floor which was very roomy indeed, I have a feeling this was a family room though. Each member of staff was extremely helpful and did everything to make our stay thoroughly enjoyable. Although the hotel is very creaky due to the age of it, it was absolutely spotless, our room was cleaned every day and towels were changed even though we were only there for the 4 days.We had heard a few groans about the food beforehand but we could not find fault, the breakfast was a help yourself full english buffet and there was certainly plenty of it ! Overall, top marks to the Grand we will certainly stay there again.. Parking was an absolute nightmare during the day, but noticed early evening that free spaces were available round and about, Prices vary but if you can get outside the hotel its roughly £2.00 from 10.00am to 4pm then free from 4pm to 10am next morning , but you have to be quick to find the spaces. I think we will go by bus or train next time .

“Above all else I thought the food was delicious! The staff were incredibly friendly and an all round happy atmosphere at the hotel. The staff to a man and woman were delightful with my four year old and I look forward to re-visiting with my partner and baby.....Long may you reign, Imperial!! ps and how nice not to have a buffet/help yourself breakfast with 'past-their best to eat' selection! Instead glorious, freshly cooked, served All Welsh!” Ian, Chester |
