This lovely, old stone building is at the foothills of the Black Mountains amid beautiful countryside and views of the Brecon Beacons. It has a restful feel, comfortable rooms and a free Wi-Fi zone.

Overlooking the Wye Valley, 4 miles from Hay-on-Wye, Westbrook Court features B&B accommodation in a black timber-clad guest annexe, right next to the owners' 17th-century farmhouse with its own...

Get away from it all at this hotel high on the side of the Black Mountains, overlooking the Usk Valley and the surrounding hills.

Score from 13 reviews Good
I liked the peaceful location and the luxury of the hotel.
At breakfast the staff served tea and coffee wearing gloves .We thought this was far too formal and more suited to dinner in the evening.
Staff, location, food, service, room, facilities…
Very poor wi-fi coverage. No bar.
Decor and comfort is superb. Beautifully appointed public rooms, bedrooms excellent. Gardens a delight! Food is very good.c
Having to wait 2 hours for dinner! Table was booked for 8, we ate at 9.55 pm....not good for an hotel of this calibre.
Overall luxury experience.
Pricey restaurant where quality doesn't match the price
The House is beautiful, rooms very comfortable, staff fantastic and the food delicious.
Good service and very pleasant
No lift, no wifi and the breakfast room needed some soft music as it was far too quiet. Wines rather expensive.
Location, furnishings, food
More atmosphere needed in dining room at night- eg warmer lighting
Location Grandeur Quiet
No facilities A little highbrow! The Restaurant is too expensive
Food Public areas Rooms
Lovely location. Hotel was old fashioned but quirky.
I don't mind paying for excellent food, and the food was good but not worth £190 for taster menu for two and then they charge you an extra £10.00 for tea and coffee! Also slow service, took 3 hours to complete meal!
The history of the place and the surroundings
No Safe in the room . TV set at a height you could not view in comfort when in bed. No tea making facilities in room. Bedroom fittings poor.(wardrobe) Restaurant prices very high some menus only available if the entire party chose the same.
Peace and quiet , and a typical well run country type hotel
Cost of starters, although they would have included some lovely canapés to balance out!
The majority of the stay was fantastic a special place for a special occasion. The room was very comfortable and the staff very attentive. The food was good quality and exrtremely well presented
The price of the pre dinner drinks was not advertised and we thought that £17.50 for a glass of average quality champagne to be excessive. The bed had a feather topper and the feathers were felt through the sheets, a very prickly night !! Whilst the quality and presentation of the food was good the price was not. We has previously had lunch, dinner was by comparison not the same value
It was perfect from our arrival to our departure!
The luxury and feeling pampered.
The breakfast I ordered was not gluten free as I was very ill after leaving the hotel. The evening meal was tasty but overpriced.
Relaxed ambience, the setting, the service made our weekend a memorable treat. The tasting menu was a delight and we will be back to sample more culinary delights. An expensive treat but worth it!
The food portions, not good value for the money.
The Duty manager Scottish sorry we cannot recall his name. He made us feel very welcome.
The waitress for Breakfast on first day never greeted or smiled during whole time we where there. The Waiter during Dinner was the same seemed it was an inconvenience for these two while we where there
Friendly staff, beautiful house, comfortable with such attention to detail. Restaurant is brilliant and menu very varied.
Everything about the hotel and its position.
Would have like tea and coffee facilities in the room without having to ask.
Luxury hotel... Amazing staff... Quality of food
Nothing to find fault with....
The service, rooms, surroundings and staff were excellent for a most enjoyable weekend.
No air conditioning. I would suggest the Dinner dress code should say tailored shirts for men and not long sleeve shirts.
Welcoming friendly staff. Relaxing atmosphere. Superb food.
Beautiful building. Excellent staff.
ridiculous prices. no tea/coffee making facilities in room - most in convenient bearing in mind high cost. Claimed kitchen garden produced fresh vegetables for dining- nonsense much too small and not tended.
