choose to stay this year T hotel with 8 members of family. The whole experience was fantastic. Meal was best we've had for new year. Only thing would like to see a bit more entertainment during end of meal and before disco. Otherwise fantastic evening. See you next year for a third time.
gap between end of dinner at 9pm and say before 10.30
Not really a criticism but there was a tiny bit of confusion over wether the room was pre paid. Perhaps could be clearer.
No, staff were very helpful.
Comfort with charactet
A really interesting site, lots of historical features. We stayed in 1750 coach house.exactly opposite to the standard hotel chains. Good sized rooms and very comfortable bed.(king sized) Helpful staff and a good hearty breakfast! Looking over stunning views.
It was very dark when we arrived , so more signage would have been useful. Even better- illuminated signs! The car park was a little rough ( not a problem for me ,just thinking of those with accessibility ♿ issues
The staff I encountered were incredibly nice and friendly. I didn't need anything but I'm sure if I did I can't imagine it would have been any trouble, truly very lovely staff.
Hotel and room is incredibly dated, on top of your usual incredibly dated hotel. The upstairs hallway and room smells old, and the room smelt of feet and old socks, however once you're in the room the smell goes. Stains all over carpet and blanket. However, none of those room issues would have bothered me enough to leave a bad review (you get what you pay for) had the noise not been a problem. My poor rating is based mostly on the noise. There was a wedding on my second night and I could hear the music from the wedding which kept me awake but wasn't massively terrible, but I guess they had more guests staying at the hotel from the wedding, many of whom walked past my room to theirs. Over old floorboard that sounds like herds of attacking infantrymen (or any kind of attackers) running past my room. people talking in their rooms sounded like they were in my room, on top of me. At one point in the night I woke up with a fright to people returning to their room and it sounded so loud and so near I thought they were running up to my bed right next to me, so much I yelled out "what" in fright as I jumped up awake in the dark with my arms out in attack mode. I was there for work and I had requested a very quiet room.
Every thing 5* thats why we keep going back
The fact we have to leave
It was a very pleasant experience.
I don't think there was anything we didn't like.
All of it was not good nice views but that's it the place needs a good revamping why joy use the money thay charge you to say there and put it back in to hotel never again how people pay so much to have there wedding there I will never know
We made a very last minute booking at this hotel and were welcomed. The building, surrounding area and view are gorgeous, though as it is on a hillside the road is quite narrow. The receptionist was very helpful with offers to assist with luggage and also local information. The optional breakfast was delicious but relatively expensive at 12.95 for a Full Welsh Breakfast.
It was a lovely room and charming reception staff. Stormy morning and willing assistance given getting to my car. Slept well - love a bath so very happy I had more than a shower. Good TV service so able to watch catch up Downton Abbey - enough said!
Arrived in the dark and drive up the approach road is a little daunting!
Food was beautiful and the young lady who served us was lovely
The gentleman working in the afternoon made us feel a little uncomfortable when we requested certain things? And the room was freezing cold
Lovely remote location high up a Mountain. Good quality premises and very comfortable accommodation with a nice room, large en-suite and separate sitting area to watch TV and good WiFi connection. Nice bar for an evenings drink and good "Fish and Chips" with more expensive options available.
I think the price charged for breakfast was expensive and could be better quality and more plentiful for the price charged.
The location is great and the staff are friendly. We changed room to get away from the air conditioning unit then the room was nice.
Wifi only works in the bar but the staff say it works everywhere. The breakfast is very small for the price you pay.
For a special occasion this hotel is superb. I stayed overnight for a wedding held here. The waiting staff were excellent so was the food. Rooms fine. Everything you need but the bed was lumpy. Nice bar area and breakfast room. Going to go back for afternoon tea soon. The only downside for me was the wifi. Couldn't use it for both days I was there even though reception said it was fine. Would recommend.
Wifi although available just didn't seem to work
Just liked everything about my experience! !
superb, the staff were terrific and the atmosphere great.
Staff were very friendly, rooms were clean and comfortable and they welcome pets. Breakfast was good too with quite a choice on the menu.
Unfortunately the hot water disappeared very quickly during the busy morning period ... finished my shower in very cold water. Woke me up though! :)
Friendliness and attentiveness of staff was amazing..
Could not fault it!
good location very peacefull
evening menu not much choice bit pricey
Location staff food
wi fi very poor, no connectivity from room. Please improve it.
Location; restaurant; food and friendliness of the staff
The room quality; the very helpful staff; the simple, inexpensive and home- cooked food not to mention the value for money.
Not easy to get to except by taxi or private vehicle.
Nice quite location
No hot water radiator didn't work carpet was dirty toilet handle fell off when you flushed toilet
Liked the position of the hotel lovely views perfect for weddings Friendy staff
Bed mattress was very lumpy could feel the springs
comfort, surrounds and staff very high class
weddings not kept away from residents they seem to take over the whole hotel..
