friendliness of staff and there knowledge of the area
rainy day. Address confused us as did not realise it was a place before the city
Convenient to the university which we were visiting
Difficult to find in the dark
Have stayed many times. The Hotel is comfortable and the cooked breakfast really great. Always a nice welcome.
Not being able to have an evening meal.
helpfulness of manager, he's new, keen, enthusiastic and helpful. Price - Llety is always the best value in the Aberystwyth area. Quiet , though the rooms at the back do face the rural railway line
Only breakfast is available for food on the premises but there is a fairly decent pub about 5 minutes walk away and a Spar in Bow Street itself.
Plenty to eat at breakfast. Shower worked well. Staff lovely. Great views.
Outside lighting poor. Bit of a building site front and back. Train track very close.
Location is ok, clean linen and comfy bed , pleasant staff.
Very dated. Shower poor and held together with insulting tape. Woken early on one day by lots of banging about and what sounded like hoovering noise. Breakfast buffet so some items cold. Should have been freshly made ( they only have 10 rooms) In need of modernisation. Building or ground working going on so Jcb in car park so outside is scruffy
This place is in the midst of expansion but that doesn't detract from lodging there now - it's in walking distance of the pub, not too far from Aberystwyth. There was an issue with the wifi but it was fixed immediately and was no problem after that [prior lodgers had messed with it]. Breakfast was fine and the breakfast room is surrounded with glass so you can look out and see the countryside [and, unfortunately, the construction] - very good stay here.
Nothing much, maybe just the construction equipment but as it was a weekend it wasn't running.
Comfy beds. Overall clean enough. Warm and friendly greeting. Loved the pub about 400 yards away for atmosphere and good food.
Bedroom and bathroom could do with a decent vacuum/clean (in the nooks and crannies). Starter motor for bathroom light meant it kept strobing for about 3-4 minutes.
friendly staff lovely views apart from the diggers excellent breakfast Good value
very very close to railtrack and could hear the trains all night ( except between about 12 and 5am) shower would suddenly run very hot depending on what water was being used elsewhere
Quiet spot. Good wifi in bedroom. Friendly staff made us feel very welcome.
Unlit car park.
The guest house is in a great location and it was very easy to find. Rooms were a good size and very comfortable and I slept well there
The peace and quiet of the area. The lady serving breakfast was most obliging.
Our complaints were taken up with the Manager on our first morning rather than stay and complain on our return home: Re stained upholstrey (chair and settee), cobwebs/dust, electric switch missing on bath for spa (felt it dangerous to use)told it was on order. Nobody at the hotel when we arrived just a board asking us to telephone a number but no telephone available. Hurrah for mobile phones. Manager arrived 30 mins later - been to sister hotel for supplies! Apart from Manager and lady serving breakfast no other staff apparent. Had up-graded to de-luxe suite - If this was de-luxe what is rest like. The bed was a black/brass queen size. It needed a good brasso and the four knobs on each corner were broken - de luxe not!!
Everything from arrival to departure the whole experience was fantastic
Found very easy, made very welcome as soon as we arrived. Great room with lovely view. Room was very spacious for two adults a ready bed and a travel cot. Breakfast was very relaxed and all staff very friendly. Thanks for the great advice for local beach. Would definitely recommend and would stay again.
No lift but we managed stairs ok. But nit of a handful with luggage a toddlet and a baby. Only noticed WiFi password on check out, would be great if noted in room.
The jacuzzi bath worth every penny, very spacious room with fantastic views.wish we could stay longer than one night.
having to leave.
the quiet and picturesque view very resting the swifts were darting around the hotel which was delightful to watch
I liked the room size. Was nice to relax in the Jacuzzi bath after driving. Staff were nice and friendly.
The mattress was sprung. Every time I turned over, I disturbed my sleep.
Good location. Friendly staff. Good food. Room very nice.
Friendly reception by owner Comfortable and clean room Very comfortable bed Loads of parking space Pretty good location for touring area Convenient for visiting Aberystwyth We will visit again soon
No complaints really - The hourly train is rather noisy but the service ceases overnight (or maybe we slept too well and just didn't notice it). Food was expensive but we preferred to snack in town. Outside decor maybe a little bit jaded, but 'hey' the inside was just fine.
Breakfast wasn't included in the price.
Breakfast was amazing! Room was a good size and good bath - jacuzzi bath which was a fun surprise.
Thought it was a bit expensive for a family room. One night was 120. Perfect if it had been 80-100 and I would have rated it higher.
Staff were excellent, the surroundings were very peaceful and walking distance to a nearby country pub. Definitely recomended.
Breakfast was a little overpriced for what it was and squeaky, cheap steel frame beds in a B&B... really?!
We had two yorkshire terriers and it proved no problem. Rooms and facilities very clean.
Creaky bed frame
extremely flexible in changing us to larger room when we found out the booking through website missed correct number of persons good breakfast
