The manager was very friendly, chatty and extremely helpful. We could not fault him! The hotel was very near to the railway station and only 10 minutes walk to Chester Town centre . The beds were comfortable and the bedding was clean.Tea and coffee making facilities were present in the room. .
The décor was very tired generally and there was a very damp wall in the restaurant part. Our room was not very clean ( things like window sills, walls and skirting boards obviously had not been cleaned for months. The en-suite shower/toilet/ sink in the corner of the room was more like something you would find in a caravan or boat, with a deep step up into it and not very big. The room would have benefited from some easy chairs and a coffee table.
large room, location, and parking close by although we had to pay for it. Love naughty but nice shop across the road.
smallest toilets ever, bad drains smell, bed linen not good quality, noisy road.
I really enjoyed the stay at Lloyds of Chester and as everything was at such a good standard we will be wishing to return in the future
The cost of the room was over priced
The hotel was in a great location and was within walking distance to the city centre. Although basic it was comfortable and clean. Staff were friendly and there was parking at the rear. Breakfast was included with a full english cereals and pastries. All in all great value for money and would definitely stay here again.
The dining area was dark and a bit cold
all of it the staff was very helpful soon as you walked in the hotel you felt at home
Very good breakfast, and comfortable bed.
Very friendly staff. Breakfast was excellent.
Friendly helpfull and attentive staff. Excellent full breakfast with a large selection/choice.
Bathroom much to small, my daughter and her husband had their room changed while we were out which meant staff packed up their personal belongings which is totally unacceptable. The photo on your website should be updated to show a more realistic view of the hotel.
The location was good as it was close to the train station and close to town
Bottle of cider and empty packet of cigarettes in room, must have been missed when room was cleaned even though they were in obvious places. Tiny bathroom, felt like portaloo
Room smells of stale smoke, rude staff, tiny bathroom and shower. Generally just a poor hotel.
As soon as we walked in this place the manager if you can call him that proceeded to talk the payment for the stay off my card. We didn't want to pay by card and we already had cash for the stay. He never even asked!! He then told us about this wonderful breakfast that would cost £5 each that would consist of lovely bacon 2 rashers and 2 sausage beans eggs and as much as we wanted....well the breakfast came out 1 piece of bacon 1 sausage (if you can call it that) the sausage was awful we both ended up leaving it!! Awful just awfull!! The rooms are VERY basic with a tiny television the aerial was broke which we had to fix. The WIFI code he gives doesn't work. The bathroom was very strange and like a caravan style. We booked this room for a nice night away together. From start to finish it was rubbish, never again. Save yourself the hassle and do not book here.
No lights in my room just bathroom light worked
The room was too small and very basic - bathroom very cramped
Friendly helpful staff
Toilet was leaking and bin was dirty on our arrival although we were offered another room
Friendly staff Good location Nice breakfast
Limited parking Could do with a update in certain areas En suite very unusual and compact
The room was absolutly tiny, and the bathroom was just like someone had put a portocabin on the end of the room. The so-called shower screen was no use what so ever as it was broken and was torn so water was everywhere. The hotel its self was dirty, the walls and carpets. There was no bar in the hotel as stated online when booking. Considering the amount payed for this hotel I would recommend paying a wee bit extra to get alot more comfort and cleanliness. Just wish I had looked at the reviews before booking. Booking.com I would recommend you take this hotel off your list, absolute disgrace!!!!
Located next to the train station
Bathroom so small I have never seen one like it with toilet sink and shower combined in a plastic room and shower was not in full working order.
Location very close to the centre of town and the railway station. Excellent imaginative photography, photographer wins an award!
Lack of car park space (room for ONLY 2 CARS!!) Bathroom is in a cupboard (well it seemed like one!) VERY SMALL. Internet Very sposmadic.
Breakfast was fine, but asking for an omlette & being told, will have to ask the chef...strange to say the least...however there was frest fruit, always a plus...& the breakfast room was very sweet. Very handy 5 mins.walk to/from the Train Station.
Tiny T.V. screen, could hardly be seen from the bed. Serious complaint finding long dark hairs on the sheets, which were stuck to the material.......the Manager,Owner not the most friendly of Hosts. Set in a run down area,a fair walk from the Town but handy for the Train Station.
Staff very helpful and polite. Bedroom clean, breakfast good.
Bathroom was dreadfully small. You could not turn round in it. I had read the bathroom was small but did not think it would be that small!! Had a bedroom downstairs could have done with a hand rail down the two steps for my friend is nearly 90! Only lighting in the bedroom was a light by the bed. Had to ask for a bulb as only one side of light had a bulb. No main light.
Bed linen kept coming off mattress and bunching up and despite bringing this to manager's attention and his promises nothing was done. WiFi only worked when window was opened and we leaned out. We asked for an early breakfast on last day and was told we could get one at the station! No offer of cereal or tea was offered elsewhere when we had to leave early.
No parking! Had to spend £18 for three nights to park in train station. Wouldn't dare eat there anyway but was refused breakfast even though was told it was included in the price! Very noisy outside hotel got no sleep. Shower was literally over the sink and couldn't even shut the door to use toilet was that small. Sheets were stained and only one towel left in room for two people which was ripped and also unclean. In need of desperate refurb not that I would dare return there!
Location close to centre. Manager friendly. Large bedroom. Good breakfast
Bathroom was a portakabin type but v clear and fine for short stay
