Breakfast good value, Ideal location.
Bathroom area very disappointing, requires an upgrade.
lovely friendly people
the hotel is fast slipping down the slope to dhss hostel
The owner was friendly and welcoming.Room was fab, clean and comfy.Breakfast staff were polite and helpful. Will be going again.
The staff were all friendly and helpful the location was excellent and the breakfast good value
The bathroom was too small you had the sink over your knee when on the toilet
helpfulness of staff, if you needed anything it was no trouble at all. breakfast was fantastic, a very friendly atmosphere.
bathroom was on the small side
The staff were very friendly
The whole place is filthy, very very tired looking. The sheets in the beds must be 10yrs old that's certainly how they felt. We would never stay there again.
Lloyds was situated perfectly for me. 3 mins from train station and 5 from town. The staff at lloyds were exceptionaly friendly and helpful. In particular ahayem the manager. While the hotel was of fair standard the staff were outstanding.
The hotel could do with a interior paint job. Also the unsuite was tiny.
manager and staff friendly ,hotel and room spotlessly clean.excellent breakfast, full english, toast, cereals, cakes, fresh fruit.
nothing we did not like, the only minor niggle no parking at the hotel ,but plenty of parking close by at the station for £5 a day
Location and Breakfast is very good.
Central Heating not working, room cold, towels too small no bath towels, , en-suite bathroom too small would just about fit into a caravan, TV very small. No Parking, even though it is advertised with parking
Staff very polite and friendly, short walk to city centre.
Only one towel per guest, really needed a hand towel, pillows needed replacing as very worn.
sex shop across the road
the place is a mess the room was disgusting room 38 the bed sheets were dirty i complained to the foreign guy but he says the cleaner will be in the morning no good to me no bar open he tells me it was bust i had traveled 4 hours to Chester on business to find i had to venture out for food which i did opposite the train station it was lovely food and staff you cannot get a receipt the following day as the guy that does them dont start work till 8.30 no good so i am contacting booking dot com as i need it to claim this back a terrible hotel if that's what you call it and no wifi as its bust i think this guy needs more English lessons . please avoid or you will be doing this right up like me you have been warned
The location of this hotel was excellent. Right beside the train station and only a 10min walk to the centre of town. The staff were very helpful and friendly and our stay was very pleasant.
I thought the bathroom was way too small. Both myself and my daughter are small in stature and we both found it really cramped. I would pity any large framed person trying to use these facilities. The bathroom door opens outward rather than inward because there is no room for it to open the other way. Your knees touch the door when you sit on the toilet and also the sink is actually in the shower area. You literally have to step into the shower to wash your hands, not very hygienic when you have your shoes in.
We were pleasantly surprised at the location and ease of access off the motorway.A 20 minute stroll to city centre.Staff very welcoming and friendly, place spotless and well maintained, rooms had everything you could want.Breakfast was first class, would definitely use again, highly reccomend.
Friendly staff with a good breakfast.
bathroom too small
The location was great only a few minutes from the centre and only 1 minute from the most amazing resturant we have eaten at for years. So if your stopping here then you need to try the Istanbul BBQ. The room was fine. A little rough around the edges but it was clean. Even on the main road it was fairly quiet. The ensuite like other reviews was indeed like a caravan all moulded plastic room, so i guess as long as your flexible you'll be fine. There were plenty of toiletries included and refreshed each day with the room clean. So all in all we enjoyed our stay and would book there again based on price.
The main issue we had was the website description (luxury) if it had said more along the lines of cheap and cheerful then i'm sure there would not be as many bad reviews. If we had arrived based on the website we would have been very disappointed but as it was, it was not a bad hotel at all. Chester on a budget. And please lets start a petition on the "get rid of the tinned mushrooms" in the english breakfast maybe we could hashtag it! fresh mushrooms can't cost that much.. can they?
Duty Manager was very helpful and did his best to rectify concerns/cleanliness , He has only been there a month but was very professional and courteous and would be an assett to any hotel...
The Hotel's owners need to spend some serious money to rectify , damp issues , replace very poor quality bedding, our ensuite "shower room" resembled a Plastic Portacabin. The bed looked like somebody had just got out of it , the curtain was hanging off the pole , damp and dirt evident on walls , skirting boards. Our clothes smelt of damp when we left. Had it not been for the fact everywhere else was booked and we could not get a refund I would have walked straight out.
Staff were really accommodating and very friendly. Couldn't do enough for you.
The manager was very friendly, chatty and extremely helpful. We could not fault him! The hotel was very near to the railway station and only 10 minutes walk to Chester Town centre . The beds were comfortable and the bedding was clean.Tea and coffee making facilities were present in the room. .
The décor was very tired generally and there was a very damp wall in the restaurant part. Our room was not very clean ( things like window sills, walls and skirting boards obviously had not been cleaned for months. The en-suite shower/toilet/ sink in the corner of the room was more like something you would find in a caravan or boat, with a deep step up into it and not very big. The room would have benefited from some easy chairs and a coffee table.
large room, location, and parking close by although we had to pay for it. Love naughty but nice shop across the road.
smallest toilets ever, bad drains smell, bed linen not good quality, noisy road.
I really enjoyed the stay at Lloyds of Chester and as everything was at such a good standard we will be wishing to return in the future
The cost of the room was over priced
The hotel was in a great location and was within walking distance to the city centre. Although basic it was comfortable and clean. Staff were friendly and there was parking at the rear. Breakfast was included with a full english cereals and pastries. All in all great value for money and would definitely stay here again.
The dining area was dark and a bit cold
all of it the staff was very helpful soon as you walked in the hotel you felt at home
Very good breakfast, and comfortable bed.
