Everything worked and was clean and comfortable. Steve was very welcoming and breakfast was good. The garden around the hotel is amazing. It was very good for being close to the Millenium Cycle path. For the first time it was hard to find.

Llwyn Hall is a lovely place to stay offering a warm welcome and relaxing atmosphere in a quiet location. Our bedrooms were very comfortable and we enjoyed a view over the garden. Steve and Wendy are excellent hosts and nothing was too much trouble. Food is first class and you need a big appetite for the evening meals whilst enjoying the facility of a drink from the bar. A great choice for our 4 day break away with lots of interesting places to visit.

This hotel is wonderful, friendly and different; different in the best possible way possible - read some of the other newer reviews to find out why. My wife and I only stayed one night but the welcome we received from Steve and Wendy was to use the words of another reviewer "awesome". We were immediately made to feel one of the family from the moment we arrived. We had a little difficulty find the hotel - my fault I should have put in the post-code Steve had given me - and were later than intended but not a problem to Steve who immediately offered to look after our little dog whilst we got ready to leave for a Wales football match. We arrived back after the match to a fantastic meal of Stuffed Breast of Welsh Lamb, after enjoying aperitifs with Steve, Wendy and other guests sitting in front of a coal fire, and then a nice relaxing chat before going off to bed: ah bliss it was to be alive and treated like valued friends. The room was brilliant with everything one could need, and after a great night's sleep we enjoyed a leisurely home cooked breakfast before departing for a week's holiday in Cornwall. Would we go back for a long stay? The answer is a resounding yes. It's so different from many other hotels that we have stayed in that I would have to describe the whole experience as "unique". Oh, our little dog Lucy loved the experience as well especially being spoilt by Steve and Wendy. There's a lovely long walk along a designated footpath about 200 yards away and for dog owners three words of advice: go for it. To conclude, ignore the gripers from a couple of years ago - that era is now well past and gone - and if you are in the area, especially if you have a dog with you, this is the place to stay. Nothing not to like

Very friendly staff. Lovely informal evening meal. Upgraded my room at no extra cost. Excellent value. A minor gripe . . my room was above the lounge and the TV in the lounge was on until very late at night causing interrupted sleep. This would not prevent me from visiting again though!

There was a warm welcome and a relaxed feel to this boutique hotel. There was space to chill out and it was an elegant place to stay. The breakfast was very good and just the start to the day you want on a mini-break.

The family room we had was tastefully decorated, spacious and very well equipped. There was a separate room for my daughter which she was very pleased about. The beds were very comfortable. The owners, Steve and Wendy were so friendly and welcoming, offering helpful advice on local activities. We felt like part of the family. The breakfast was delicious. I would highly recommend Llwyn Hall.
