The room was roomy and spotlessly clean. There is a beautiful view from the restaurant.
The bedroom had two windows but both looked onto other parts of the building,no view at all.
Drunk locals swearing loudly and often at the bar A little overpriced
Scenery and friendliness of staff and locals
Friendly, helpful staff and very pleasant location beside Lamlash Bay
At £99 pp sharing twin room, too expensive for standard - would be great hotel if priced a bit lower.
Staff Breakfasts View
Showers are too small and water not hot enough Rooms not cleaned properly Towels thin
Family room overrated (too expensive) plus needs refurbishing Breakfast ok Restaurant overrated
We loved the food! Had a lovely evening meal when we arrived and a great breakfast the next day. The food was excellent and reasonably priced. The staff were really friendly too!
There was nothing we didn't like however the shower in our ensuite was slow to drain. Also perhaps making a reception area or desk but that didn't ruin our experience. Just a suggestion!
The location of the hotel was lovely and the staff friendly and helpful.
The bed in room 2 was extremely uncomfortable to sleep on. You could feel the springs of the mattress and I woke with a sore back.
Poor mattress on beds in both superior rooms at front of hotel
The hotel was very friendly and had a homely feel. The owner and staff were all very welcoming and helpful backed by an excellent chef.
It was a lively hotel with a very busy bar/lounge which meant it could be noisey into the late evenings. However this may suit many folk
The location and view from the room was amazing. The food was good even if we had to wait a long time for it to be served.
The bed was not good could feel the springs coming through so did not get good sleep for 2 nights. The restuarant was more like a canteen. Food was good but service not so good asked for sauce for our steaks it came when we finished eating. Bar service was slow and twice we asked for gin and tonic and they poured Vodka to busy talking to local customers..
Rooms were of a good size and very clean. Beds very comfortable. We ate in the restaurant in the evening with friends and the meal was lovely. Staff very pleasant and friendly. Very good menus for meals and breakfast. We had a bit of a wait between courses but there were 7 of us so to be expected.
Friendly staff, great food, good location
Steep stairs, no lift, rooms are in need of freshening up, and the bed was uncomfortable, due to missing slats.
We paid 100 pounds for a room in which The bathroom had hair, the lights were fuse in the bathroom and the bedroom, the bed side lamp did not work, and not much food choice for vegetarians.
it's a good hotel in the good place. but, unfortunately, the bar and the restaurant both close at 9-30pm.
The colour of the trees
The colour of the sky
Friendly attention and care about resodents
The view and breakfast
Cost and old fashioned bedroom
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, good food, friendly staff and would stay in the Lamlash Bay Hotel again when we come back to Arran.
Very nice & helpful staff.
location and food were great
View from room 1 was excellent. Evening meal was 1st class. The man who served breakfast( think he was the owner ) had naturally fantastic customer service.
You could hear other guests when using the bathroom and walking around.
Lovely large room with a great view.
Bathroom needed a bit of attention and wash basin tiny.
Hotel overlooked Lamlash Bay. Room was spacious & comfortable. Staff were very friendly & helpful,
Nothing really. A lift would be useful for luggage but not too much of a problem.
The restaurant staff were very friendly
A member of the bar staff received us and treated us indifferently and wrongly told us breakfast was at 8.30, the chef arriving at 8.00. We were catching the 7.50 ferry and were told we could not take breakfast. Imagine our surprise to see a couple having breakfast at 7.15. A complaint is in hand !
