The Lamlash Bay Hotel is on the Isle of Arran, 500 ft from the beach. It offers panoramic views of Brodick Bay, rooms with free Wi-Fi and an Italian restaurant. Modern rooms are decorated in light shades and feature flat-screen TVs. Some rooms have sea views and all include radios and tea/coffee-making facilities. The elegant lounge/bar area has deep leather armchairs and serves a wide range of beverages including local malt whiskeys and beers. Italian favorites are created using fine local produce in the restaurant. Arran Island is only 19 miles long and 10 miles wide, so that all of its attractions can be easily reached. Despite the power cuts on the island, everyone was wonderfully friendly and helpful, and the staff looked after us very well and provided useful advice on days out.

The situation of this hotel is beautiful - uninterrupted view across Lamlash Bay to Holy Isle. Accommodation was spacious, comfortable and well-equipped. Staff were welcoming and friendly - made us feel valued. Food delicious! Can think of nothing that we didn't like. Not sure if there was a resident's lounge so that may affect families with children or people who don't wish to sit where there is a bar but that wasn't a problem for us.

Great location and view, very nice hotel/reception staff, bar with the fireplace magic for winter afternoon, nice hotel room, definitely better than expected, quality interior design, clean but the damp smell was kind of an issue, fair size, great value for money. make sure you have warm clothes with you, the Central Heating turns on automatically. the restaurant/food ! we went there for the dinner, and to be safe we ordered pizza and steak pie. steak pie was a bit bitter, with old re-hited chips and old peas. Pizza had that cheap version of chess that can not be used for heating up, cause it forms one-body layer. blee! finally chef has burned something in the oven (open kitchen not the best idea there), and all restaurant got covered in smoke, and apparently there was no AC to deal with it. there was 2 waitresses, and unfortunately we got served by the one who didn't know anything about the menu, drinks and was acting like she was doing us a favour bringing staff. I only hope that this restaurant is not a part of the hotel, cause its a disgrace for anyone who likes to eat.

The staff were very friendly and our baby was made a fuss of. We had an evening meal in the hotel which was a fantastic steak, cooked to perfection. Breakfast was included and was lovely. I only wish I had booked more than one night here. I would go back!

The staff were lovely as was the food.Breakfast very nice. The only downside for me personally, they had run out of scottish whisky. They did have a selection of malt whisky, but it was expensive and isn't my preference.I found this astonishig as the hotel caters for tourists, and whisky is an integral part of any scottish visit surely.I had hoped they may get a bottle from somewhere during the weekend, but no.

We paid extra for a sea view room which was well worth it. A large room with en suite and an extra sofa bed and two large easy chairs. three large windows gave good sea views and of holy island. The restaurant which doubled as the breakfast room was well used by non residents esp. during the 5pm - 6pm happy hour and consequently showing signs of wear and tare and could do with a refurb.
