Loch Duich Hotel

The location was wonderful, with a view of the loch and the Castle Eilean Dunan.

Building in poor repair with smell of mould in some places.

The owner/managers were friendly and helpful. The location is exquisite. and the log fires in the lounge and bar were a delight in the cold wet weather we experienced. The breakfast was excellent!

The room was OK but a little run down, and the en suite was minimally adequate. The prices of food and lodgings were sommewhat higher than I would have expected.

Breakfast was great - room was clean. Staff behind the Hotel bar we're very friendly and so we're the locals - Would reccomend and stay again.

Television had poor signal and shower was awkward to work in room 227

Small room.No heating - we were so cold. Bathroom light not working - no towel rail, bath mat or hook on bathroom door. Only one small towel - not one each. Just small items but irritating. Dreadful draught from window that had been taped up. Base of shower planks not fixed. Really not worth £90- we went on to stay a night in York for £60 - which was much better value. With a bit more care the Hotel Duich could be a jewel in the highlands. Sorry.

Great location - poor hotel. Excellent location for Eilean Donan Castle.

Shabby condition and breakfast unimpressive. Went to local pub for evening meal. No Loch view from my single room!

Excellent food, very warm personnel, amazing location near Eilean Donan Castle, peaceful and secluded.

Location was great ovelooking the castle and the young couple who has recently taken over the hotel made us really welcome

Decor was a bit dated but I think they have plans to upgrade the rooms

The hotel was generally fine and no complaints but I just think it was not a £90 per night standard room. If it was £60 I think that was fair.

Location. Breakfast was full, not continental as advertised

Very misleading information. To be welcomed on arrival by statement that only cash payments were accepted demanded that we may have had to drive 12 miles and back to get cash. No dinner was available in restaurant. Twin room booked was a double with a single bed stuck in a corner. Small bathroom.

Lovely location. Good but limited range of food. Room satisfactory. Excellent parking. Hotel has great potential but has a way to go.

Hotel was cold and dark. Staff not ready at agreed breakfast time, which is problematic when on a tight travel schedule. Cost of room is excessive for what is in offer.

Posizione dell'hotel con bellissima vista sul castello di Eilean Donan, personale dell'hotel gentile. Al posto della stanza singola mi e' stata data una camera famigliare ampia allo stesso prezzo.

l'hotel era quasi in chiusura invernale, per cui non era possibile cenare come indicato sul sito. Tv non funzionante, pulizia non perfetta della stanza.

Hotel peu rempli quand nous y sommes allé, donc nous avons été "surclassés" dans la chambre dite "Honey Moon", jolie vue sur Eilean Donan Castle depuis la chambre! Proximité d'un petit pub/restaurant. Bon point d'étape pour aller ou revenir de l'ile de Skye.

Le fait que l'hotel, une grande batisse, soit vide lui donne un petit côté bizarre, on s'attendrait presque à croiser un fantome dans la nuit (certain aiment cette ambiance, d'autres moins!)

De foto's gaven een positievere voorstelling van zaken weer. In werkelijkheid was het een stuk meer vervallen dan we hadden verwacht.

la ubicación, si es una habitación como la nuestra con vistas al castillo es genial.

lo tienen un poco en el olvido, tiene aspecto de haber tenido una época de esplendor y que ahora no invierten mucho en mejorarlo, las ventanas son un tanto viejas para una noche de tormenta etc, pero en el fondo el ambiente está bien.

Très bon accueil, la réceptionniste a eu la gentillesse de convaincre le "chef" de rester un peu au delà de ses horaires pour nous préparer à manger... Chambre confortable, ambiance familiale.

Absolument rien de l'hôtel à part sa vue sur le château de Dornie ?

Hôtel gère par des adolescents, du genre papa et maman sont en vacances et nous ont laissé la responsabilité de l'hôtel. Hôtel vétuste sans aucune volonté de faire le moindre effort de rénovation. Jardin et terrasses inexistants alors qu'il y a toute la place pour. Petit dej, infecte, d'ailleurs mon mari à de graves prob gastriques depuis notre séjour à cet hôtel.

Emplacement exceptionnel en face du château ce qui permet de bénéficier d'un coucher de soleil exceptionnel

L'accueil, l'emplacement à proximité du château étaient bien.

Impossible de chauffer correctement la salle de bain et la chambre, alors que la température était insuffisante. Manifestement, le chauffage central ne fonctionne qu'à certaines heures. Température glaciale dans la salle de bain et douche à peine chaude.... Chambres mal insonorisées. Prix excessif pour les prestations fournies. Le personnel pourtant sympathique a du mal à faire oublier le manque de confort.

De prijs is gezien het geleverde veel te hoog ,wij waren dan ook de enige gasten ,terwijl het toch op een zeer goede locatie ligt. De kamer was netjes ,maar de rest van het hotel en ook de buitenkant maken een behoorlijk sleetse indruk. Ook de drankjes waren knap aan de prijs ,zeker in vergelijking met het nabij gelegen Pub Clachan .

Lecteur de carte de crédit en panne, nous obligeant à faire 24Km pour chercher du liquide. Panne d'ordinateur, pas de wifi. Chauffage fonctionnant par intermittence, ce qui nous fait demander un chauffage electrique d'appoint, heureusement très rapidement installé par les gérants
