On a crisp, winters day it is hard to beat location wise with stunning views of the loch. The swimming pool and leisure facilities were quiet and clean but lacked any fitness machines. Outdoor hot tub is a nice addition to steam and sauna rooms. Staff were polite, friendly and attentive - bistro and bar areas' are relaxing and comfortable. Rooms are a little on the tired side but well appointed, can't complain as the rate from this website was £120 cheaper than advertised at reception. Free Internet (as no 3G) via a PC for light browsing and email but PC wont access mainstream email accounts eg Yahoo. Overall a nice hotel which like other has its wee niggles but promotes a calm, relaxing place and highly recommendable for short break. Fire Alarm just before dawn was a little tiresome. Dinner Service ended at 20:15 which could have been highlighted at check-in to avoid disappointment. Guests in reception can look into the changing room corridor of the pool which was a little odd - maybe some frosted glass? Wouldn't recommend the Hot Chocolate from the Bar ..... |

The General Manager took proactive action imediately when the issues outlined below were highlighted to him. It was unfortunate that his middle managers were unable to carry out, his most simple of directions. The Majority of the staff did not understand customer service. The service in the main was disgusting to the point where they were at times very discourteous. They did not understand that they should where ever possible assist those more infirm or with mobility problems and make "reasonable changes" to their usual routine to ensure those with these needs enjoy the hotel. I am not disabled myself but I observed this during my stay. The timeframes for the food delivery was totally unacceptable. The atmosphere was cold and unhelpful on all fronts. . |

The Loch Fyne Hotel was good value for money and a picturesque location. Lovely breakfast. Our bed was very uncomfortable and the bed very noisy. Also there needed to be another pillow to sleep on! |

It was an OK hotel for the money. The service in the restaurant was appalling, everyone in the restaurant was extremely angry at the service, although the actual food was great. The hotel lacks management, leadership & organisation. Having travelled all over the world this was one of the worst restaurant experiences I have ever witnessed. At times the reception was not manned, not a good sign. |

The situation Our experience at this hotel was not so good. It appears space in this box is limited so what follows is a precis of our problems. Booked a twin, sent to the smallest double we have ever seen. Transferred to twin but water poured in through ceiling at 04.00hrs x 2 hours Hotel full unable to move us. Had to use Spa facilities instead of our bathroom, floor there filthy, plumbing in 3 rooms we saw and Spa changing rooms, was archaic and apparently poorly maintained and difficult to clean. Meal for our group was "fair" and led to the party eating at the George nearby on following night. Yes, they did not charge us for the affected night's accomodation but we felt it was all rather chaotic and the absent senior managers have much to attend to. |

The opportunity to use the spa. However, might be a good idea to encourage guests to book in advance for treatments There was always a delay from ordering food or drink and receiving it - this was at quiet and at busy times. A number of people were visibly disatisfied with this aspect of the hotel. |

My wife particularly enjoyed her aromatherapy massage. We enjoyed the peaceful location overlooking the Loch. We found that the bed was too soft and springy and gave us back-ache. We were surprised at the limited timings to be able to eat in the Bistro. We were offered, and chose, the latest booking at 7.30 pm, yet by 9 pm the Bistro was empty. |

The staff were helpful as we had a power cut & the fire alarm went off. Due the the power cut the evening meal was limited & the bookings for it was running late, but the staff did a excellent job under the circumstances. |
