scenary Food Choice of meals Cheap and expensive. The cheap is ok The expensive is very good
The loch view was excellent, food was excellent, with a choice of fine dining or bistro. The separate gardens are superb and a must-see.
Room needing a bit of an update but the rate was exceptional, so good value for money.
Had a nice comfortable and clean room overlooking the bay with its beautiful view. Service was friendly and overall an enjoyable one night stay.
looks a little tired in places, not sure if shabby chic or just shabby.. if it were not for the view, definitely overpriced. Food in the main restaurant also seemed very expensive although the bistro was more reasonable. The only meal we had there though was breakfast which was OK but a little limited in variety.
Food and views excellent
Rooms very basic and small as were bathrooms. Water pressure v poor. Furnishings tired
Great location, great views from our bedroom/restaurant and bistro. Our room was nice and clean, really comfortable bed.
Would suggest a DVD player in bedrooms would be a nice touch! We upgraded to a full Scottish breakfast next morning (paid extra £6.50 each)a little disappointed the portion's were small! :( either reduce the rate or increase portion's.
The views are quite simply stunning. The rooms are well-appointed and the dining experience exceptional, whether in the restaurant or bistro.
The price probably matches the quality. Guests not used to private water supplies from peaty soils will be surprised by the discoloured tap water but need have no fears about its safety.
The quiet peaceful location. Very relaxing
Bottled water in room was warm as no coolers. Not enough milks left out for tea and coffee in room.
Great location, close enough to enjoy day trips to Oban, Mull and surrounding areas. Beautiful views, peaceful and relaxing with good food and smashing staff. Hope to return before summer' over!
The view from the Balcony of our Annexe room. The food in the Bistro part of the Dining area. Also the breakfast was good whether you had continental (included) or Cooked Breakfast (extra cost...pity)
The room smelt a bit musty and for a "Superior " seemed quite ordinary and the whole annexe was a bit "tired" really. The food in the main restaurant was very expensive and mainly seafood so we dined in the cheaper Bistro which was fine. Nevertheless though we really enjoyed our stay overall.
Staff very helpful. Ambiance excellent - especially in the bistro.Food in the Bistro was always fantastic. The views from any /every room was fantastic.
Breakfast was a dull experience.Lacking fresh fruit juice, interesting breads, and the porridge was poor too.... Food not of the standard of the restaurant or the bistro. A small gripe after a lovely few days.
Most amazing view ever from a hotel room - Scotland at its most beautiful. Friendly, helpful staff - gave us towels to go swimming in the Loch. Sitting outside Bistro looking out over to Paps of Jura and more - amazing! Why is this amazing hotel not fully booked mid summer? We will be recommending it to all our friends - fabulous, treasure find.
Menu in dining room very expensive. Bistro had lovely atmosphere with same views as dining room. Mussels not as good as ones we had somewhere else the night before and pudding rather disappointing. Were told the chef had just started. Delicious bottle ofnspanish Grenache which we were allowed to taste before ordering which was nice touch.
great service. Brilliant location. stunning views from apartment balcony.
No negatives at all really.
View Location Bistro
Very small and poorly appointed room which was too expensive. Table de Hote dining cost excessive. Unkempt patio, no sun parasols.
Glorious location and views. All the staff welcoming, friendly and helpful.
The staff were very helpful. The food excellent and the ambiance of the actual hotel was excellent. We would definitely go back as long as we stayed in the actual hotel
We found the Cedar Wing noisy as every time the sliding doors from the balcony below were used we were disturbed, also the dividing walls were inadequately soundproofed. The stairs we found uncomfortable. However the room facilities were excellent.
Staff were very nice and friendly and very efficient. would be very interested in any future offers at this location.
Fabulous location, really friendly and helpful staff, very comfortable, excellent quality and choice food both in dining room and bistro
The view from the room was breathtaking! The proximity to Arduaine Garedens The food at night was excellent
Fantastic location. Amazing scenery. Very friendly staff..
I could fault nothing..
amazing views great staff very comfortable rooms and guest areas food
stairs to room
A very comfortable stay in idyllic surroundings. Great food too.Just wish we'd been able to stay longer.
Very friendly yet professional staff. GREAT views from every room. A choice of dining options to suit. Have no problem highly recommending. We would definitely stay here if ever we are lucky enough to visit this beautiful/ stunning country again.
Location, restaurants on-site
Slightly run-down feel
couldn't be bettered
The Chart room menu could be more varied.A bit boring to receive the same menu if you are staying for any length of time.
location and staff were excellent.
The food was appauling. My husband and I both ordered steaks in the Bistro as on arrival we were advised the dining room wasn't available. The steaks were a grey colour with no browning whatsoever. I sent mine back, but on return it was no better and was tastless. As a qualfied caterer, I suggest, the steaks had been dipped in warm oil only and not grilled as per the menu. The cost of the room was £150 which only included a Continental breakfast. We could have had a full breakfast for £6.50 extra. I would suggest that for £150 the extra £6.50 could have been absorbed by the hotel. We will never return again.
