Everything was perfect

friendly but very under staffed food was good

had a long wait for food as they only had one member of staff on the bar and reception as well as taken food orders it was the same in the morning one person doing breakfast orders and reception. breakfast a bit disappointing.

Cleanliness. Bed very comfortable. Breakfast reasonable.

A very packed bedroom, four beds, with a huge pillar in the middle which was difficult to get around. Could have been dangerous in the night. Two very low chairs. Unable to sit on them and watch TV. at the same time. Missed Snooker final. Archaic TV. Receptionist did say in the morning he was surprised when he took us to the room. It had been changed to a family room. They could have given us another room if they had discovered a "no show" earlier. Not at all to our liking I'm afraid. The night before we had stayed in an excellent hotel for the same money so we were especially disappointed.

Open fire in bar. Reception staff were excellent.

Breakfast service a bit slow. Bagpipe muzak in dining room.

Breakfast was absolutely poor as we had to wait for 45 minutes to be served without beans. TV reception is awful with ancient TV sets. Hot water was not working and we had to change our room.

The front reception was delightful and the lounge was very relaxing.

Most of the toilets has issues.

Cold water in shower, uncomfortable bed, terrible TV reception, breakfast adequate, staff run off their feet, establishment too big for itself and therefore can't cope

Staff friendly Clean

No central heating in rooms. Mattress old and not firm / comfortable. Hot water takes a long time to arrive in room, and was not that warm. Food stodgy and tasteless / overly salty (e.g. baked beans and cooked tomato mush). As expensive as much better hotels elsewhere in Great Glenn, for less comfortable hotel.

Public areas superb, meal excellent, staff exceptionally friendly

Rooms dated, plastic cups for tea/coffee.

Staff were lovely and very helpful they just didn't overly know the ins and the outs of how the hotel ran and relied on certain staff members and if they weren't there it was a bit of a struggle for them to know how to do things. They also seemed short staffed. But the place itself was beautiful inside with lovely bathrooms.

Great place to stay! Very quiet and had a beautiful library/fireplace area!! Would go back again in a second! The hotel staff was great and the complementary breakfast exceeded our expectations!

I am a lover of old stone buildings so the main attraction for me was the main hotel building itself. I also enjoyed the comfort of the bar area and that it had not been over modernised. Many of the original features still being utilised e.g. the back to back coal fires in the bar and lounge areas.

Location was just a little too close to the "themed" tourist like attractions for my personal liking although this would possibly appeal to visitors with young children.

The atmsphere was great from the moment we arrived, the Hotel was warm clean cosy and had some very beautiful features, we also managed a large beatiful room over looking the front, we were both well pleased. the food was great the staff more than friendly enough We couldn't fault it at all

i am sorry to say that the price refelects the stay the room wasnt ready on arrival the room was like sleeping in a cuboard no view at all the food was so disgussding we nearly went home on saturday night we are not complainers but you new you had made theses mistakes then you ask us to comment this lodge is back in the seventies needs lots of tlc and should be pulled from your web site thanks iain smart

Nothing to dislike. We were given a free upgrade on arrival (without asking) to a spacious comfortable room. The surrounding countryside is spectacular and the staff were friendly and helpful. We were sorry to leave.

The place was warm and welcoming, especially the fires in the lounge and the bar.

To be honest we were not impressed at all with the Loch Ness Lodge Hotel or the area which was disappointing. The only thing that we enjoyed was breakfast the folloowing morning. Even then would say about 4 out of 10.

The hotel is tired looking and could be doing with an update both downstairs and in the rooms. Our room was shabby with the en suite having different bathroom suite (bath different colour from rest of suite the sink and toilet being beigey brown). As no entetainment offered in Hotel or surrounding area even local pub refused us admission as Stag party on .....our tv in bedroom offered 4 channels only. Very disapointing.

Loved this place!. Beautiful old building, tons of history. Easy to find.Open fires in lounge and bar areas. Friendly staff. Great food.

Reception assured us she had booked our Loch Ness tour ( asked more than once), however after a long wait we discovered it hadn't been booked at all so a bit of time wasted with that, still got on a later tour. Apart from this we all enjoyed our night here and would definately recommend.

very friendly and helpful staff, Excellent food throughout with a good range, good variety of local ales... All in all a thoroughly relaxing atmosphere with a highland warmness that myself and my fiancee where enchanted by.

Lovely big leather reclining sofas with log fires - top class! Top class friendly and helpful staff and good breakfast. Balcony nice, pleasant and peaceful award-winning view of the highlands.

#1 4 of us dined next to a dividing curtain where an ice-cold breeze came through every time the staff went in/out for cutlery etc...this is unacceptable. After speaking to a member of staff, they did remember to close the curtain most times but I still had to close it 9 or 10 times - we all felt the cold breeze - not good when you have a marathon to run the next morning. #2 I'm 6', and the bathroom was too small for me - my legs struggled to fit in when sitting in the bathroom 'reading the paper'. Will check for bigger bathroom if we stay here again.

Could walk down to village and up to Urquhart Castle (3 miles) quite easily weather permitting...

No hot water over the two days we were there; too expensive for what we got... Noisy
