The room was clean and had tea/coffee facilities.
It was very noisy outside on the street until about 4 o'clock in the morning...don't know if this is a regular occurance as we only stayed one night...also window didn't shut properly which added to street noise.
Not much. Luckily it was only one night
1. The karoake bar across the street 2. Why no breakfast option? You have a restaurant 3. Rooms very basic - no chair 4. We had two rooms - and access to a third because our plumbing was faulty. Every shower room had cracked and dirty tiles 5. Two bedside lamps, but only one socket!
The staff were very helpful.
Road outside hotel is fairly busy.
Very central, large family room. Comfy bed and a great sleep both nights :)
the housekeeping standards, no breakfast options at all are available, the run down awkward entrance to the rooms, the smell of the carpets in the hall on the common hallway.
The service on check in
The entrance to the rooms (like a staff room area) the breakfast in a bag delivered at midnight.the poor quality room
Er it was clean.
If you are staying here all you get is a room above a restaurant. We couldn't even get a drink there unless we ate too. The room was pleasant but small with a tiny window. The shower was a drip, I couldn't wash my hair in it. No breakfast included or available on site to buy and we didn't come across another person, not even staff after check in. Really quite a strange experience!
The staff was very friendly and acted promptly on requests. Very close to the train station (across the road) and conveniently located near nice restaurants and bars. All the basic necessities are provided including WiFi.
The place is a bit run-down, nevertheless all the essentials are provided. The bar opens around 10am so need to wait until then for breakfast. But the staff is kind enough to pre-pack the breakfast and leave it near the door. The surrounding bars can be a bit noisy.
Lochside was in a really nice location being so close to Loch Lomond. We only spoke to one staff member but he was very helpful and friendly. The room was a good size, clean and with a nice en-suite and comfy bed. Continental breakfast fine.
Small room with low quality fittings A B&B that did not serve breakfast being asked to enter and leave by a fire door. No staff in attendance at the hotel.
Very cosy and great staff. The room had lots of character.
The shower was horrid. There was very little pressure and almost no water.
Staff were helpful and friendly
NB. there is no suitable category for myself travelling with my 80 yr old mother. The Google map showed the wrong location of the hotel so we had difficulty finding it and this gave the wrong impression of location of hotel. When I booked it was not clear that we would not be able to get breakfast at the hotel. The shower had black stains all round the edges, rather grotty!! The beds were very low and cheaply made with sharp corners. This was not apparent from website. In morning my mother Knocked her leg on the corner of the bed and sustained a 3 inch cut on her lower leg. There was no-one at the hotel so I went to hotel opposite for help and was directed to the hospital were my mother was seen in A&E. The dressing needed to be kept dry therefore my mother could not have showers for the rest of our holiday! Thankfully we had only planned to stayed there one night. I phone later that day to say what had happened and complain re poor quality room but have not received any communication from the hotel
Decent value, clean room.
Had a nice stay but felt the whole premises could do with an overhaul.
When we arrived we were given a key to our room 'up the back stairs'. As there was no breakfast on offer we never saw another member of staff. Basket marked 'please leave key here' on departure. A bit like the Mary Celeste! Quite strange. The two members of staff we met on arrival were very friendly.
Pillows too flat.
We loved our stay at Lochside! It was a great location! The people were friendly, helpful and accommodating! We look forwRd to returning someday! Carol
Room was ok. Plenty of amenities nearby.
Door was faulty and could not get in for over an hour. No staff to help as when the resturant closes the staff leave. To be called Lochside is a little deceiving. Very close to noisy bars
Cust. service Comfy bed Clean rooms
No hair drier Water damage on ceiling of bedroom
The room was a good size, recently redecorated but on a small budget.
The noise from the hotel across the road which went on till the early hours. The fact that you can't get breakfast there.
Really enjoyed the meal in the restaurant below. We'll be back...thank you!
Would have like a cooked breakfast in the morning, which the owner said he was considering. But was still good value for money.
Good range and choice of food which both my wife and I really enjoyed. The room was just what we required and all was reasonably priced. We will definetly be back in the future.
Couldn't fault this stay.
the shower room was very small, the toilet although had a cistern block in for cleaning was still dirty bellow the water line, kettle had to be put on the floor to use as lead would only reach the bedside cabinet as we had to sit on bed (no room for chairs) I didn't think this very safe. While on floor plugging kettle in to extension lead found several items behind dresser unit including teabags and a teaspoon wonder why staff had not picked these up. When we stayed the pub opposite had football showing outside on large screen tv the noise from this went on till approx. 3am would have been nice to have been forewarned (I would not have booked if I had known there was a possibility of this happening)
Location, restaurant food
Lack of breakfast
The room was very comfortable and clean big enough for 4 people and facilities were all there. Staff were very helpful and accommodating and friendly.
There were a few little minor improvements that could be made and this was put to the manager who was more than willing to listen and take on board how future stays could be made even mo pleasurable. I am assured that these will be addressed for other guess.
