The hotel was set in a beautiful countryside location. We went for a wedding and the room we had overlooked the Loch and the hills in the background covered in snow was stunning. Staff went out of their way to be friendly and couldnt do enough for us.

There was nothing to not like :)

Staff very friendly, especially Amberley in the bar. The grounds are beautiful. The hotel has been modernised to a high standard. The spa was an extra treat! Very relaxing even with 2 under 5's !!:-)

We booked in at the restaurant at a resonable time of 5.30 as we had children with us. Staff at this time were very attentive, however this changed when other customers arrived. They had to be prompted a few times for dessert menus etc. The result two very stressed adults trying to keep the children happy and 2 very restless and tired children. We did not leave the restaurant until 7.30. The food though was out of this world.

We loved the food, cocktails and the new garden view bedrooms, fantastic romantic night away.

Too expensive for nothing fancy. Executive room no different from standard room but yet costs more. Wrong food brought to us.

Cottage was well appointed but we had difficulty with the heating, was way to hot

At end of dinner we were given the wrong bill and this took forever to sort out. The waitress was fine but we all felt very sorry for her having to take about 4 attempts to get bill sorted. Kind of spoiled the night

Everything was excellent, food was amazing!

The only downside was that it was very warm in the restuarant however is as to be expected due to the snow.

Everything really! The staff were very helpful and the rooms are very clean and kept to a high standard! The location is great nothing else surrounds it apart from the loch and the beautiful gardens! The food is also great and not over priced ! I would stay here again in a minute!!!!!!

The only thing not so nice was the tea and coffee at breakfast. The self service thermos type dispensers are just not what I like. Much prefer pot of tea or coffee. It just looks and tastes so much better.

Our room was above the disco which ended at 12.30 (a wedding). Not a huge issue but we should have been told this on arrival. I had to go down to reception at 11.30 to find out what time it finished.

The only thing you could improve is the lack of power & volume of the shower.

The fact that having made a reservation back in February (and I have the confirmation from the hotel on my pc), there was no record of our booking at the hotel. Whilst the staff were able to find a room, instead of a non-smoking executive deluxe with a garden view, we were allocated a standard smoking room overlooking the aircon unit. As the hotel was full, there was no scope to change the room, so we "lumped" it. Whilst the room itself was generally ok, we were able to get rid of the background smoking smell by opening the window, and the noise of the aircon might have kept us awake had it not been for a combination of tiredness and a couple of drinks.

It was a nice quiet location and the staff were very welcoming
