very well organised b & b very comfortable great view over the water from the hill top good information on activities public travel etc
couldn't fault it
Accommodation was very clean; views to die for; lovely breakfast with additional touch of fresh fruit from garden. The owner was most helpful and advised on day trips, even providing maps!
As a weekend guest I felt the breakfast cut-off time was early-9am-especially if out late evening before.
It was a clean hotel
Upon arrival i learned that the price quoted in booking.com would be upped by 3% if i used my credit card. You must have a flashlight to negotiate the various stairs on the pedestrian walkway if returning after dark from the restaurants below. The owner was extremely rude when i did not take his advise on where to walk that day and actually went into the kitchen and loudly derided me to his wife so that i could hear the nasty things he was saying. I thought it was extremely odd as where i chose to walk had nothing to do with him. There are so many inns that are at least 10 pounds cheaper per night, that do not surcharge for a credit card and that are located right in town, i have no idea why anyone would stay here. I was extremely uncomfortable with the owner's rudeness but felt i was stuck as i would be charged anyway.
Everything was simply perfect. I loved the room decoration... makes me feel at home!! The owners were extremely kind and helpful. I deeply recommend the Lochiew Hause.
The rooms and facilities were very comfortable and the breakfasts were excellent and the service. The views were gorgeous.
Everything! A really lovely place to stay, and made to feel very welcome.
the house, the area, the staff
Breakfasts very good.Views also really nice.Lounge very comfortable, plenty of useful information.
Distance from the centre if walking was too far and uphill. If no car taxi only option with variable prices. Would have liked towels to be changed every day.
Cosy little apartment fitted with all the things you need to be self sufficient. Lots of parking. Communal lounge area had fantastic view and lovely garden area though we didn't get a chance to use either. Walking distance to Town centre.
Great advice for walking and eating, a friendly host, good room with a great view, excellent breakfast and even Vegemite! Lounge area for relaxing and enjoying the view.
Absolutely nothing to fault. From my pre-arrival call informing hosts I'd be arriving on the 22.02 train (not a problem) to my check-out on day 4, I felt extremely welcome and provided with heaps of useful information, packed lunch, calls for taxis, bike hire and walking info, etc etc. Great view from my front-of-house room.
Room was fine and food was likewise good. Proprietor was friendly and helpful, with good ideas for what to see and do in the area. Onsite parking was easy to access.
No serious problems but there is a surcharge for credit card payments.
Welcoming owners, good breakfast, view over the loch.
Awful climb up from the town.
Very friendly and clean, good variety of breakfast including stewed fruit from the garden. Great view from our bedroom over Loch Linnhe. Would definitely go there again.
the view, helpful owner,
small room, small bathroom, old decor, small TV
Very nice and friendly, good location and excellent view!
It is unacceptable the advertisement "Only 10 minutes walk from Fort William town centre". The house is situated at the top of a hill and difficult to find. It is necessary to advise that you take a taxi especially when going with luggage. In addition, credit card payment charges should be advised in advance. I can not recommend Lochview House.
Staff knowledge and location. Easy walk to everything in town (Taxi available). View from the living room and our room was exceptional.
There was not a thing we did not like
Cleanliness, warm welcome, the view, interesting Scottish decor, comfortable beds, helpful hosts.
Steep uphill walk meant taxis back.
I only stayed one night, but the staff were friendly, the view out over the Loch was stunning, and the breakfast was good. In the morning they also opened the breakfast room doors so you can see the view as you eat. The hotel is up a steep hill, so it's advisable to get a taxi up or down if you have heavy luggage. The owner called a taxi for me. I would definitely choose to stay here again.
The ensuite bathroom could do with an extractor fan, or a window with a midge shutter/blind.
Everything. Stayed one night between on a weekend between jobs in Scotland. I want to go back and stay again on holiday. Great views from the large lounge available to guests.
Welcoming and friendly hosts, excellent accommodation, lovely breakfast with good choices.
The husband and wife team bent over backwards to accomodate us sharing thier local knowlege of attractions etc. Shame we could only stay a night as passing through. If i go back to ft william i would deffenitly book again ; )
Nothing to dislike
beautifully decorated house, many pictures of flowers and topograohic features, comfortable, clean
