We had a nice stay of 4 nights over lodge 51, the staff was realy helpful and friendly! The location is good because is just about 6-7 minutes walking to the tube station. The location itself is a little away from downtown, but still reasonable. Shopping mall and restaurants around. I recomend for the cost-benefit. The room had a little dust on the lamps that could have been cleaned, because attracts insects. But it's no big deal at all

Close to Olympic Park and some commercial areas. Not very far from downtown (but still far). You have all the facillities. Bathroom not very clean (but you can survive).

Having a kitchen is good if you want to save money Considering london The price-quality ratio was fine Close to underground and supermarket Wireless internet worked perfectly and is very Useful for foreigns Hotel facilities such as kitchen and bathroom could be cleener. Bedroom blinds were demaged and didn't block the light, so it was hard to sleep after 7am Bedroom walls should be repainted.

The bed was comfy. And I liked how the staff upgraded our room without me asking to. He gave us a on suite. Was in a safe location, I didnt feel threatned. I liked how morrisons and westfields was just a very short walk away. The place needs a another lick of paint, the walls had a few cracks in but nothing really too bad. Also there was a slight smell in the room, I think this was due to the carpets being a little dated. I understand that they did not serve breakfast, but the option to have a nice cup of tea would not have gone a miss ( especially as it was wet and windy outside).

I would not recommend lodge 51 as the bedding was dirty and didn't fit the bed or the grotty duvet on the bed. My nights sleep was disturbed by the constant noise of what I'm sure were mice around our bags on the floor. The room itself was shabby and in need of a lick of paint. I've stayed in plenty of hostels and budget accommodation and wasn't expecting luxury for what I paid but I wasnt expecting dirt and rodents. With a little bit of effort ( and pest control) Lodge 51 could have been much better. I'd probably suggest if you want a hotel in this area to try the ibis just down the road.

Booking went fine even when arriving after 8pm. Close (10-15min walk) to Tube, supermarkets, restaurants. Not really a Hotel. More of a b&b but without the breakfast. WiFi working fine (for others who had problems the router needs a reset I.E. turn off/on). Rooms are small but clean. Good enough for solo travelers who only need a bed and are gone during the day. For double occupancy they are very small and so is the bed. Surrounding area a bit shabby. For solo male travelers it's ok, I would not recommend it to wife and daughter. Walls in the room could do with wash or repaint. Room lacks tea/coffee-making facility. This can be done in the common kitchenette, however it's not very clean. Shower pressure + hot water very poor. Pay cash unless you want to pay 2.5% extra for credit card.

Room was warm and quiet, and the bed was comfortable Called Lodge 51 but is not at 51,Romford Road [notice on #51 advising this from long-suffering resident it seems] so name confusing.Room lacked tea/coffee-making facilities [down 2 flights]; was in need of redecorating; no soap/shampoo in shower for the unprepared; and sheets did not fit the bed (too small).

Great location, room was fine for the money we paid, bathroom was fairly clean. Location is amazing, bus stop just at the door step. Bus n. 25 runs straight to city centre, Stratford station is 10/15 mins walking. Staff was friendly. Kitchen available for breakfast.

The staff was kind and helpful, they tried to accommodate any request I had. The highlight of the hotel really I believe the place was really too dirty for the price I paid. A room this dirty, same goes for the kitchen, cannot be charged 50£, even if it's in London. Also: tv doesn;t work Bedside lamp doesn't work

The staff were overall friendly, the bathroom was reasonably clean and the bed was comfortable. The location is ideal if you want to have a look around Stratford and is a 10 minute walk to the underground station and Westfield. The storage was adequate for one person. The TV did not work properly and free internet wireless connection was unreliable. The hotel has two different houses converted into rooms. I stayed in the house that did not have the reception. The front door was often left open, leading to possible security issues. The keys provided were very difficult to use and a lot of the guests struggled to get in. I did speak to a gentleman at the reception who said that he would come and have a look, but he never did. The temperature of the shower was not very well controlled and would sometimes have very hot water or very cold water running from it regardless of what setting you would set it at. The room I had was situated on the ground floor and was facing a busy road without double glazing, so I would not have been able to sleep had I not used earplugs. The cleaners were very loud in the mornings and kept banging doors which would wake me up even with the earplugs in.

Hotel is located near Central tube, big shopping center, pub and tesco. It is good, when you need to stay over the night. Hotel (it is more ordinary house rebuilded to the hotel) has a nice kitchen with microwave, toaster and electric cooker. You can have a cupple of tea after morning. There were problems with warm water. The walls are really thin, so you can hear every step in the hotel. The first night was terrible, because somebody still walked in the hotel from 0:00 to 6:00...every hour.
