Set in 19 acres of beautiful tranquil parkland, yet only one minutes’ walk from Hitchin town square, this attractive hotel was originally a Carmelite monastery built in 1317.

Yet again another lovely stay
Great location Quiet and restful Friendly host
A great B&B with very welcoming, friendly hosts, a great breakfast and in a wonderfully peaceful setting. We recommend the White Horse at Tea Green (1 mile) for lovely meals at good prices if you're looking for food locally. A gem of a B&B not to be missed, thanks Maria!
Bedroom and bathroom, countryside views, and being out of town
Finding it in the first place! Noise from Luton Airport - but only in the later part of the morning, so did not disturb us!
Fantastic room, clean and very spacious. Excellent treatment of guests at all times. Very tasty full English breakfast. Perfect retreat for a quiet, secluded relaxing escape.
Clean room and comfortable bed
I booked 3 days for myself and my teenage son due to proximity to Knebworth for a music festival. The hosts were thoughtful attentive and made us feel incredibly welcome. Rooms were fine and breakfast great.
Having to leave early on the Sunday because my son wanted to see Gojira. I have nothing to criticise and would love to come back. If using Sat Nav to get there it is a bit confusing.
Beautiful house and grounds. Lovely hosts and great breakfast.
A little bit isolated - but ideal for functions.
Very friendly & a joyous start to our Holiday. Highly recommend
Very friendly and helpful hostess. Beautiful quiet setting with a nice garden and horse stables right there. A nice restaurant only a few miles away.
The breakfast is a bit meagre. Beware people allergic to horses!!
Where do I start. Lovely country hotel in the south east. only 20 minutes from the hussle /hassle of A1 M1 but serene and quiet
Great location, beautiful room and grounds. Very friendly service
Everything was superb
Great setting. Lovely people. Will definitely be back when staying in the area.
Breakfast poor only ,only 3 half slices of toast and a single cup of coffee
Beautiful surroundings, lovely couple running the B&B that couldn't be more helpful, amazing breakfast and comfortable rooms. A relaxing and wonderful place to stay! Will definitely come back!
At last, the problem of flying early from Luton is solved. This genuine farmhouse B&B is four miles and half a world from the airport. Accommodating owners, an idyllic setting, good breakfast, comfortable bed, long term parking at competitive rates and no aircraft noise. I will definitely be back.
You will need a SatNav to find it at the first attempt.
The location was so close to the M1 but felt miles away is was so peaceful, just beautiful. My daughter and I felt very lucky with the room we had, the views were excellent and we had lots of space. The breakfast was a real treat and with very friendly service. It also has a great pub nearby for dinner. Great value for money and I would consider using for Luton airport so much better than the big chain hotels.
Nothing, it was lovely.
Excellent owners. Go above and beyond
Once we got to the hotel we were welcomed by Maria, who was nice and friendly and looked after us very well until the end of our stay. The room was cozy and very stylish. The bed was comfy. The location was excellent if you expect to stay in the countryside in England. The greenery scenery surrounded will calm you down from the hectic day. It was our best gateway trip from London.
Could have been cheaper but it's not really a big deal for us.
The standards of the rooms were excellent. Location difficult to find but well worth it when you did
Looking forward to breakfast, but had to leave at 7.15am. Breakfast did not start until 7.30am. before that time only a continental breakfast was availble
Decor and size of room. Welcome from host.
Hairs in bath and couldn't get radiators to work in the morning.
The owner aria was a perfect host, who made me feel at home from the start. Nothing was ever too much trouble. Beautiful location to wake up to each morning. Very comfortable mattress and pillows. Lovely breakfasts.
lovely setting, close to Luton airport(we were picking up our son next morning)very large bedroom. watched both red kites and planes in the sky while eating breakfast, slightly surreal.
bedroom a little cold in the middle of the night, due to the fact it was large with very high ceilings.
Very welcoming & accommodating. room & location was perfect & such great value for money. breakfast was lovely & food didn't take long at all.
