Lodge Farm Bed & Breakfast  

We liked the spaciousness and comfort of the one bedroom apartment. We adored the peace and quiet and wonderful views. The owner was warm, friendly and very helpful.

We would recommend a 'How to find us' section on their website. There is a Google map but it isn't sufficiently detailed. Even a list of villages to head for would be helpful! Once found, however, you won't want to leave!

Excellent venue in the countryside which we chose due to its location very close to Luton airport prior to our break in Malta. We only wish we had time to stay and enjoy the hospitality of the hosts ( excellent and extremely welcoming and helpful ) and the lovely surroundings in the countryside. I had found this venue for my parents prior to their last holiday and they highly recommended the Lodge. Many thanks for booking us a taxi at 4.30 and I can only apologise for not having signed the visitor's book. We loved the house, surroundings and the stables where we could get really close up and touch the horses. Many thanks for the early morning pastries and juice. The taxi was early, so we didn't have a chance to enjoy those !! We would love to stay again - and will do if we fly from Luton in the future.

An inadequate heating (in fact no heating) in a guest area of the B&B building. With outside temperatures well below 10oC, this was a horrible lodging experience (in otherwise wonderful environment). Regrettably never more memories, very much relevant for seasons of the year other than hot summers.

Had a lovely stay. Maria was lovely & very helpful in advising about the local areas. Breakfast was great & the room was beautiful.

Long and potholed country drive not good for low profile car! Private bathroom was too far along corridor for late night visits! We departed 15mins before cooked breakfast was available, a return visit may have been made had an offer been made to provide it earlier. Could really have done with free wifi too.

The room was good with a really nice comfortable bed. Room furnished nicely with plenty of draws and wardrobe space.Nice view of gardens,The room and bathroom were spotlessly clean with toiletries and a large fluffy bathrobe.Although breakfast is usually served at 7.30am,my request for breakfast at 7am was happily meet, and what a good full English breakfast it was, with good quality produce. All in All a lovely place to stay. For a day or a week.

Although it was stated that the room had a private bathroom, which it did! This was out side the room next door in the corridor,this is where the big fluffy bathrobe came in useful.

our room was, large, clean and everything we wanted after an unpleasant day. Although we were the only people staying there, we were not treated as a nuisance as we must have been, Breakfast was perfect and set us up for the long drive home.

we had trouble finding it on a wet, dark evenning as our sat. nav. sent us to the next door farm and we had no mobile signal. Not the fault of the B & B but might be an idea to check the location before hand.

We found it hard to drive there at night; fortunately satellite navigation took us right to the door. We were 10 monutes by car from oue family in Hitchin. Quite close to motorways.

Lodge Farm was lovely. Room was large and very comfortable. Maria was lovely and very welcoming. I would definitely stay there again.

The owners have done everything to make this B&B high quality and succeeded. I really enjoyed staying and will be back at every opportunity, I can't recall a better B&B or hotel.

Room do not have shower and wash up facilities and have to walk down to another bathroom. A little inconvience at night.

Maria was really friendly and accommodating. The venue was excellent, the location beautiful; we really recommend it. We stayed in Hitchin during the day, for lunch, drinks and dinner and took a taxi to Lodge Farm and Breakfast. The driver could not find it so Maria guided us by telephone. Excellent! Great breakfast too. Very charming B&B.

We had a private bathroom, but the only downside was that it was still in the hallway, so we had to cross over to the other side of the hall in bathrobes.

Very Well maintained. The owner was a very very good host, pleasant, very polite, very very welcoming. The ambience was good and peaceful. The place was inspiring and run by good people.

These are just a couple of suggestions for improvements..... 1. In the room coffee/tea making facilities is available. Milk/creamer sachets should be kept with the coffee /tea bags and sugar 2. The approach to lodge farm is through country roads. To get more visibility the possibility of putting up direction signs with the local authority consent may be explored. These are ''would like to have'' suggestions

Lovely big room with a fabulous view. Bed was very comfortable.
