Great room with all the mod cons and loved the power shower!
Lack of restaurant facilities to enjoy a good breakfast
The shower was really great and the bathroom. The lounger in the bedroom was amazing - comfort is the name of the game here
The lack of a good breakfast was a bit disappointing
Had room to rear of property so away from car park area. Free parking at weekends.
Seal on shower door had come loose, same as in room next door to ours.
The 'breakfast' was part of a Starbucks-cum-bar which was in a separate building.
Breakfast clean sheets and staff plus parking.
Size of room.
We enjoyed the beautiful views over Plymouth, the clean and comfortable lodge with decent space and storage room for a family of four. The cream tea provisions in the fridge were a lovely touch! The on-site swimming pool, games room and cafe were useful on rainy days. On sunny days the Lodges are close to the loveliest beaches along a stunning stretch of the Cornwall coastline. Tregonhawke and Tregantle are particularly lovely. Lots of local sites to visit (including the Monkey Sanctuary which the children enjoyed) and very pretty villages such as Looe and Polperro where you can take a boat out. We caught the Fowey Regatta which was a fabulous event. The Lodges provide the perfect spot for a happy family break.
Both a good and bad thing - the lack of free Wifi is useful in many ways as it ensures that families enjoy some more traditional pastimes together such as card games, cooking and reading, which we did. However, it would have been nice on occasion for the adults to relish watching a movie of choice on our mobile devices once the kids had been put to bed! It's a very rare treat for us and Wifi would have given us that additional benefit.
Nice rooms, fairly quiet apart from slamming doors. Excellent pub for reception and excellent location.
See through toilet doors ? Who cam up with that idea ? Glass doors in the rooms to the toilet, they are opaque to some degree but you can clearly see when someone is sitting on the loo or standing at the sink, for that reason alone we won't be returning otherwise we definitely would.

Had everything you needed and a nice powerful shower. Good location for having a break on our way to Devon from Yorkshire as right by the m5. .
Another option for breakfast might be good as Starbucks is fairly limited
Simple and easy to check in and out.
clean, comfortable, good shower, fairly comfortable bed, good night's sleep. Served us well.
Big room, new furniture, close to Highway, choice of simple breakfast or 4 star hotel across the street with all desirable amenities.
Shower wets the entire bathroom floor. In the room close to main door you can hear everyone coming and going (didn't find it disturbing though).
I don't know where the bad reviews come from, obviously not staying at the same place! Clean and tidy room. Nicely different to the decor of travelodges and premier inns. Great location just off the M5 so great for travelling and a stop over (travelling from cornwall to north wales for us). We ate out at the nearest brewers fayre which was 2 miles away so cannot comment on food at the lodge. There is the option to be able to use the sauna and swimming pool at the hotel next door for an extra £7.50 although we did not do this it was nice to have the option. Free parking on weekends too. Overall a great base for our needs.
If we had gone in the week we would have had to pay for parking which I disagree with. No reception in lodge itself, check in at Starbucks so if raining taking luggage from car to check in and back to lodge not ideal.
Location- easy access to M5 and M4, Cribbs Causeway etc.... Room facilities were carefully thought-out Bathroom very spacious and excellent, powerful shower
Only two pillows per bed Restaurant closed on weekends
The staff were great and so helpful, the location for us was ideal as we were heading out onto the M5 north bound!! Shower is fantastic and the place is well kept and clean! We stayed here four years ago and the standards haven't dropped, in cleanliness or friendly staff!
Room was a little warm but it had a fan which did the trick. Not the most comfortable bed I have ever slept on but that's me just nit picking now!
cleanliness and modern rooms, starbucks next door with added bonus of being able to use facilities at the sister hotel and spa.
rooms would definetely benefit from air conditioning very warm during the night fan provided needed more
Room was very good. Facilities great
very good standard
Lovely standard to come back to after a late night after a wedding. The power Shower was amazing and the bed very comfortable. Having a Starbucks on sight was brilliant as well. Very happy with our stay.
staff were great especially the girl on reception. Rooms were clean and shower was excellent. Could not fault the hotel.
As we needed to be in Bristol centre it is a bit too far out.
Nothing for kids
Location Price Shower facilities Advertised availability of additional beds for children
Room was far too hot Additional "beds" was one double for two children There was a party at the hotel opposite which meant we couldn't sleep through the noise or the heat. You couldn't have the window open
I have stayed here before, and returned because the hotel is well located, has well appointed rooms and friendly and helpful staff.
The check-in service can be slow, as you need to wait for someone to finish serving in the Starbuck's area, before they come over to check you in. That said the staff are very polite and helpful,
wi fi bathroom location
only one pillow keys didn't work poor choice of lager on pump
