The room, very modern and clean, and spacious

Only the fact that there wasn't really anywhere to eat with two small children. The Starbucks next door was okay but not really any food selection for children nearby. We found a premier inn 10 miles away for breakfast the next morning for choice.

Friendly staff at Starbucks check in Clean Opening windows Modern Well equipped Good discount makes this excellent value.

Poor bed totally let down the experience. Glass door to bathroom with toilet in line. Light beneath toilet at night is a good idea but the bathroom door should have been in the usual place ie on the right after entering the room so you couldn't see the light from the bed. Bathroom door opened inward, shower door opened out, both glass and potential to clash. Shower door also inclined to leak onto bathroom floor. Had to check in late at night at the Aztec hotel over the way

The room was spacious, had a wonderful walk in shower, and a great location... We were visiting from Canada to attend a funeral.

On the fourth night, we plugged our charger for our iphone in the socket and after about an hour it exploded. This cut out all the plugs, including kettle , hair dryer and shower. We were told that there was no maintenance until Monday, and they moved us to Different room on Sunday evening. We were then told that by the manger that they were not responsible for our iPhone which was note working. We are disappointed that there was no attempt to compensate us for our broken phone. we Are intending to make a formal complaint as we believe that it is the hotel's responsibility to ensure that using the plugs in the room to charge phones are safe and do not get damaged. At the very least the hotel should be prepared to replace the damaged phone.

Not much choice in the way of food if you don't like pizza.

When I booked from my phone it said pay later which i assumed with card no reserved the room and payment on arrival, only to find on arrival that money had been pre payed.

We really enjoyed our stay, it was clean and really nicely decorated. I didn't mind the absence of staff as we found it quite intimate. Although I suppose if we had a problem we might not of thought this. The only two issues I had were the distance from Bristol City centre was huge. It was about £25 each way into town had we of added this to our budget we probably would of been able to afford room in the city centre.

Small double bed - King size would've been nice! Some noisy guests through the night - more soundproofing would've helped!

Clean, tidy and friendly

The fold out bed was SO uncomfortable. You rolled into the middle so we didn't get much sleep at all, as I sharing with my 11 year old daughter.

We were disturbed from 1-00am until 4-30 am by a family group who kept banging doors visiting each others rooms talking a laughing very loudly. Whilst this is not the fault of the hotel it has made us think before staying here again.

Beautiful room which exceeded our expectations...

The reading lamps were a nice touch and the shower was fantastic. I also like the chaise-longue type chair in the family room. The hotel seemed quiet and the bed was comfortable. The food in the Starbucks/brasserie was nice (we had a selection of pizza and salad) and the staff were very polite and accommodating. The waitress offered me a free glass of wine for a very trivial problem with my order, which was much more than I would expect.

The housekeeping staff were very polite, but they were noisy at quite an early time of the morning and didn't seem to know which rooms were vacant. Some of the decor looks quite poorly finished, which surprised me for what claims to be a higher-end hotel. I did not enjoy having to eat breakfast in Starbucks and found the lack of reception frustrating when trying to arrange for a hire car pickup (which I would presume is quite a regular event for a hotel used by business travellers). The mobile phone signal was terrible throughout the hotel for myself and my two colleagues, almost like the walls were made of lead.
