Lodore Falls Hotel  

Excellent location with stunning views of Derwent Water although fairly remote so limited to dining there if you wanted to have a drink.

At £160 per night in low season it was way overpriced. We tried to use the pool but after waiting for 5 minutes and no member of staff appearing we gave up. Food was ok but nothing special. A minor but nevertheless annoying factor when paying that price was that the TV volume was limited to the point of being inaudible and the remote didnt work from the bed so we had to get up and walk half way to the TV for it to work. We were then offered a second night at £90 for the same room which highlighted the fact that the initial night's fee was overpriced in the first place.

Beautiful situation. Pleasant, relaxed atmosphere. Very friendly and attentive staff, especially in the dining room.

It was a pure treat for us both! Can't wait until the next time.

I paid an extra £60 for the 'fell view room' , the view was nice but next time i think I'll just have the standard room as i don't think the view was worth an extra £60. We stayed in room 210 right on the corner, as i was walking through the corridor the cleaner was in room 207 with the door open, the room was the same but the view was a lot better.

The hotel was not what I expected it was even better. The location was stunning the hotel was very clean the staff was very friendly and helpful. We are planning a trip again this year and I have already recommended this hotel to several of my friends. To sum up my break it was brilliant great fantastic

We love the lakes district and the Lodore falls gives us the location we want with comfort and a very homely feeling, the open fires were beautiful warm and welcoming, the staff were brilliant could not do enough for you they ensured that our stay was as good as it could be, I will definitely being coming back

The hotel is in a great location. Massive effort made to make it look and feel fabulous for Christmas. We were disturbed, both by knocks on the door and phone calls, despite putting out the do not disturb sign. We never did find out who had called and knocked on the door!!!. So apart from the disturbances, it was ideal as we needed a couple of days away from our busy and hectic lives. The staff and service was great and the room was lovely. The bed was so comfortable, we both slept really well. We would come again, hopefully without the disturbances.

Everything was perfect. The staff couldnt do enough for you!

The drinks in the bar were very expensive!

Free upgrade to lake view room on arrival and free bottle of house wine with main meal also fantasic hottub outside in rain was very relaxing

Great location fantastic view from the room, very accommodating staff.

Found the pool very small and changing rooms cold.

The evening meal was amazing and the waiters and waitresses lovely
