In Glasgow’s West End, this hotel is a 5-minute walk from the university and just a 5 minute drive from the center of the city. The pretty, cobbled road Ashton Lane is nearby, lined with shops, cafes, and bars, and there is also a movie theater. The Lomond Hotel Glasgow retains charming features like traditional cornice ceilings and a spiral staircase. Its rooms have simple décor and come with a TV and tea and coffee-making facilities. Breakfast is provided each morning at Lomond Hotel, served in the charming, high-ceilinged eating area. Alternatively, a range of restaurants can be reached in 10 minutes or less by foot. The number 66 bus stops on Great Western Road, and allows access to the center of the city and greater area. Country house: 18 rooms Unfortunately it's not possible to make reservations for this hotel at this time. GeneralNon-smoking Rooms, Heating, All Spaces Non-Smoking (Public and Private)

Well, you get what you pay for. £20 per person per night including breakfast is cheap. Location is good. Bear in mind the low cost, but this really is bargain basement stuff. Very much like the cheap B&Bs that I've stayed in Blackpool on lads' trips. The room is very tired and in poor state of repair. The breakfast was okay (given the price) but nothing special at all. Don't pay the extra few quid for an 'en-suite' as its not what I expected. If budget is paramount then okay, the sheets were clean. But maybe I'd to to pay a bit more next time.

Leaving it Filthy room, not eveen hoovered. Shower facility broken and had to share 1 grotty shower between 2 floors.Aggressive, unhelpful, unaccommodating staff. Breakfast abismal, undercooked and taken away fron us at 9.30 as we were told to leave breakfast was over. Will never stay again and would advise to avoid at all costs.

Very disappointed with Lomond Hotel. I start work at 8 am and when asked about an earlier breakfast I was told "there's coffee in your room". At every other establishment I have stayed I have always been given the option of a continental breakfast on a tray or a packed lunch to take with me. The TV in my room did not work and no replacement offered. Very unhelpful overall and would not stay again.

My reason for the stay was unusual.... Had to evacuate my home for the night while my nephew hosted a birthday party! All I wanted was a cheap clean room for the night. For the price, however, what I got far exceeded all reasonable expectations. And the breakfast, while not gargantuan, was faultless, again especially for the price. That extra (hot!) toast appeared immediately it was requested and without any dark mutterings is more than I was entitled to expect. And more than I have experienced at some far more expensive chains. A first class suite on the qe2 with hot and cold running entertainment it aint. But an extremely acceptable clean, comfortable, efficiently and quietly run b&b in the West end it most certainly is.Which is all it claims to be. A wee gem to be recommended. Nothing. As I said above, it does exactly what it says on the tin. And does it with quiet efficiency.

Staff and manager were consistently rude and distant. Food server acted annoyed at all requests and only smiled when saying that breakfast was over and she was serving no more. All shower stalls on my floor were out of order, taped closed with electrical tape, and no attempt made to fix the entire week I was there. Shower on other floors had such poor water pressure, it was a miserable experience. Towels were so worn they had holes and tears. No desk or end table or surface of any kind in my room to put things on. TV very hard to operate, with no instructions and clueless staff. Room so small and poorly planned, the door banged into bed post when opened. Bed lumpy and sunken on one side. Not just me - other guests talked during breakfast about how appalling the place was, and how they couldn't wait to get out of there.

The breakfast was awful. The room wasn't cleaned properly. I found a half eaten pizza under the bed. There wasn't any car parking. I had to ask for a hairdryer. I was particularly upset that I could not change my mind once I'd booked.

This is a very convenient location and it is very cheap. However, similarly priced hotels are available close by. Wireless internet signal wasn't available in my room. Other people presumably had similar problems -as they would sit on the 1 chair in the lobby to check internet. If I had known this wouldn't have booked. Receiving the demand " £120 cash" immediately on entering. It is in the small print of the booking, however it is easy to overlook this. It would be helpful if the hotel management does more to ensure people are aware that this is expected prior to arrival.
