The beds each have curtains on them along with a reading light and outlet which was very welcome. Each room has a key code allowing for a bit more security. The bathroom and dorm where I stayed seemed to be reasonably clean though I wish I'd brought flip flops for the shower. The location is very convenient. It's just around the corner from the tube and is in zone two. Also, the luggage storage was made available to me both before I checked in (but same day) and the day I checked out.

Some of the outlets didn't work and my reading light flickered. The rooms were cramped and the luggage lockers did not have locks. The thin mattresses made sleep a bit uncomfortable and the linens did not include a pillow. The keycode entry was very loud and woke me up several times the first night. (I am not a light sleeper.) Also the stairwell code was changed daily which was annoying. The internet cut in and out and though the website advertised "free use of computers", I was greeted with a very confused look when I asked. Breakfast was scant (toast, cereal, instant coffee, tea, OJ) and dishes were even more scarce. To use those dishes for the kitchen required a 5 pound deposit (returned to you when the dishes were returned clean). The facilities seemed to be cleaned (loudly) at the same time every morning making it difficult to sleep or to get ready.

Getting out of there!

The hostel has long since lost its bar licence, reason why the only people you'll find drinking there are the shady locals, which speaks about the location, which is fine, if you like being far away from the city center in a neighborhood were you are likely to get mugged. The only bathroom I could find was dirty and in poor conditions. The beds were jammed in a room not big enough, with the curtains ripped off, barely any room for sitting, no lockers and a friendly sign which read "baggage left on the floor will be thrown out". So yeah,what did I like? Being able to lie myself out of there with a refund and finding a different and better hostel to enjoy London

I liked the location of the hostel, you could get to all major sights of London by foot relatively quickly. They had nice (standard) water system in the bathrooms. Usually in UK you get two separate sources of very cold and very hot water. Here it was normal, though a bit inert.

It's not very clean. The beds are non comfortable at all. Very low height, very thin pillows. No place to store your items. Free wi-fi never worked. The place didn't look secure, we had two big thefts in the first 3 days I spent here. The staff didn't look nice and sometimes it seemed everything might go off their control...

Really clean place, welcoming staff. People are respectful when they come back late in the night (no noise).

You must leave a deposit to use kitchen utensil.

Near the metro station, the traffic is convenient.

The next room is noisy, and there is no lock for the closet.

The showers and especially the bathroom floor were dirty and require undoutedly to wear flip-flops or shoes.

The staff were extremely helpful especially Mark the South African guy, really made my stay a pleasure.

The downstairs was well kept, nicely furnished, looked well. The breakfast was good.

The beds were cramped and difficult to move into. The lack of privacy was intimidating as there was no door between the shower room and the hallway.The showers were also cramped, resulting in wet clothes.Of the three on my floor, two were broken and the other, I couldn't gain access to.

Booking : I booked mixed dorm (written confirmation email) but Hostel computer booked me in Female dorm , first night staff asked girls for moving from mixed room to female room so I could sleep in mixed room, but second night no one changed so I slept at common room.

Room dirty, toilet dirty, room air ventilation bad, water closet blockage - roommate told me, the problem happened 1 week minimum, nobody handle it

Terrible breakfast, if you can call that a breakfast. Dishes never seemed clean. Didn´t even had napkins. Terrible bathrooms. Untidyness everywhere. Rooms were a mess. Worst hostel ever.

The staff are really friendly and very helpful. The hotel is 3-4 minutes walk from Kennington underground station.

Rooms cleanliness and ventilation need some improvement.

Nothing really, the place is dirty. The bathroom is filthy, the rooms are stuffy and not well maintained. The only reason why I would go back is out of desperation.

The fact that they give breakfast and provide cooking facilities for the customers.

Close to Clapham Common where I had things to do

1 operating shower for the floor (for 50 people). Very dirty I wanted to cancel my last day room 3 days before but they told me it's not possible because of the week end

I liked the Idea of having curtains in the beds. It really gives you some privacy.

The bathrooms where seldom verified and so, very often dirty. The room door was broken so anybody could enter in the room. Also groups of drunk people that had just come back from party did a lot of noise inside the hostel, where everybody wake up and started to argue with those drunks. The staff did nothing.

Friendly and helpful staff, free breakfast, some nice clients and the showers are ok. Each room has a keycard lock which is good in terms of safety I guess. If you want to use the lockers you need a padlock (not included). You get free WiFi which is cool. You get what you pay for. Tip: If you have a android tablet and the wifi isn't working talk with a staff member, they will fix it for you.

Me ha encantado casi todo, la gente q trabaja allí es realmente estupenda y me han ayudado en todas las dudas o necesidades q pudiese tener, el ambiente es muy familiar.

Lo único q mejoraría es q las taquillas no se pueden cerrar pero aun asi la gente respeta mucho las cosas de los demás y no tocan nada

J'ai apprécié tout particulièrement l'ambiance de cette auberge de jeunesse, j'ai fais de belles rencontres. Ainsi qu'on se trouve assez proche du centre ville.

Il y a un problème au niveau de l'hygiène, les toilettes sont limites ainsi que la cuisine. La lumière de mon lit ne marchait pas et dans la chambre, il y a peu de places pour mettre ses affaires.

Le personnel est sympathique.

Les équipements sont défectueux et insuffisants : plusieurs wc hors service, une douche hors service, des lampes de lit hors service. Les dortoirs sont très sales, des frites, des paquets de chips, des vêtements traînent un peu partout. Manque de place pour ranger les valises et sacs, ils restent au sol et empêche la bonne circulation. Les lits à structure métallique grincent. La cuisine au 1er étage est une "porcherie". J'avais réservé un dortoir de filles et par manque de place nous avons dû aller dans des dortoirs mixtes différents. Le lendemain j'ai pu changer pour rejoindre le dortoir de mon amie.

Era sucio, la habitación olía mal, la lamparita de mi cama estaba rota, las cortinas de privacidad brillaban por su ausencia, la cocina inutilizable y sin ningún utensilio, una sola ducha para todas las habitaciones de una misma planta, no había papel higiénico el el wc, muy ruidoso hasta altas horas de la madrugada, el desayuno súper básico y el servicio del personal...más básico aún! Y sobretodo: ambiente y atmósfera inquietante, no me senti segura mientras estuve allí.

C'est pas cher, ça reste honnête, et c'est vraiment près de la station kennington, qui permet de se rendre très rapidement dans à peu près tout le centre de Londres. Malgré une première impression effrayante, le séjour était agréable, les gens résidant dans l'auberge étant tous très sympathiques.

A cause du pub en bas, notre première nuit fut dérangée par la musique trop forte. Nous sommes donc descendus boire avec les autres en attendant la fin. Après être remontés, une bagarre a éclaté en bas, plutôt bruyante, nous empêchant de dormir jusqu'aux environs de 4h. Petit déj frugal, mais pour le prix on peut considérer cela comme normal.

le coté sympas, rencontre avec d'autre personne, personnel agréable, pas loin du métro et du centre, café ouvert 24 heures sur 24, rapport qualité prix excellent.
