The location was great, can't do the metro, plus it is nice to go around on the bus and see the city. We took the bus straight to the house and pretty much to everywhere. There are bus stops right out the house and even a 24hour bus. We paid for a superior room and it is very superior. We really feel the whole living in London experience at a very convenient location. A very lovely house.

Location and kitchen I hadn't stayed at the Hartley for a year and, although the staff were friendly and I acknowledge it is a budget stay, there is no longer the service. i.e., 3 days and my rubbish wasn't emptied neither was my room vacuumed. The shower room needs attention (mould and couldn't regulate the shower - v. hot). No milk, just all those little plastic cup things.

The staff were exceptionally helpful. They are friendly warm and accommodating. I had to check out at 4.30 in the morning and they were ready for it! The bathroom is quite small.

The staff were very friendly and very accommodating. No extra-cost "surprises" at check-out time. The location, just a few steps from Tower Bridge Road, was extremely close to above-ground bus stops, and not far from the London Transport Underground stations at Elephant & Castle or Tower Bridge. A TESCO (open daily from 7AM to 11 PM) mini-grocery store, and several budget-priced restaurants & pubs & ethnic food take-away (Turkish, Chinese, Caribbean) retailers, were very close. There was one "shared" kitchen per floor (4 rental-rooms per floor) with refrigerator. Breakfast is not included -- be prepared to grocery-shop (nearby) and prepare your own food. Label anything you buy & leave in the kitchen. Wireless Internet access was reliable, and was "free" to use. LCD TV in each room (about 20 channels). Lots of budget-priced stores at the Elephant & Castle Shopping Centre. My room was on the top floor, about 50 steps "up" from street-level, and there was no elevator. So, be physically prepared to go up/down stairs, hauling your own luggage. No air-conditioning. Shared toilet/shower (4 rentals per floor) on each floor. Be prepared for "non-luxury" and "self-sufficient" accommodation, and this rental will be fine.

Less price than others, and near to bus stops which you can go to central locations easily, and also 20 min walking is enough to reach Thames. Cleaning is good only for common bathroom There isnot enough cleaning for bedsheets. Shower water has so less flow rate realy hard to take a comfortable shower

Cheap, clean, no hassle, near to Boris bike hire parking.. Wifi did not work in my bedroom- probably because the router was on the ground floor and my bedroom was two floors up. A bit of noise from the traffic, however it was wet outside which does make noisier.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. My room was a lot bigger than expected. The bathroom/ shower room could have been a bit cleaner, and the plug hole in the shower was a little blocked.

Big room, fully equiped kitchen and bathroom, free wi-fi in the room, place to sit and work, excellent location for going into the centre - bus stop right in front of the place. Nice and helpful staff. I had an issue with keys for one of the doors, it was stuck and I couldn't get in by myself, I had to go the the other building to get help from the staff, it was uncomfotable in the evening, I originally planned to say out longer, but this prevented it.

One of the staff suneel rakmalla is a very kind person, it's very glad to meet him. The room is sweet with a good kitchen. It's clean and comfortable. The environment around is not goog enough, but to take the bus is very easy, if you know this, and take the bus to the centre, everything will be ok. And the hotel is near to the city centre, with bus 15 minutes around.

One of the staff suneel rakmalla is a very kind person, it's very glad to meet him. The room is sweet with a good kitchen. It's clean and comfortable. I feel the environment around is not good enough, I feel not very safe in this area. But there is a bus line in front of this hotel which can take you to the centre directly, and this hotel is near to the city centre. So if you go out and take the bus, everything will be ok.

The studio was a decent size. The apartment had been redone, with several nice features but at the same time was done with minor attention to details. First off the Bathroom shower curtain was FILTHY/MOLDY. Several things in the apartment where half assed including the shower rod as it was falling down. Things where piled in the corner as well as dirty mop buckets. The apartment was semi clean but still a large lack of attention to any detail. Crumbs where all over the counter and the oven was dirty. The door was run down with unfriendly locks. The service was the most disappointing. When we arrived at the so called hotel I was greeted in a way that made it feel like a chore to be dealing with me. We were told to follow with no information on where to go and silence until we asked where we were headed. I asked how payment would be handled and there was no answer just a reply of we will take care of it later. It would have been preferable to pay cash but my CC was charged which was still okay. The internet was not working for me and when I called on Sunday at 9 AM the phone was answered poorly with a "Hello". When I explained the issue to the guy his reply was "well its Sunday and everything is closed so I cant be over until 10:30" I then told him never mind. Overall I could go on but I will finish with this. This is the poorest run "hotel" I have ever been too. Terrible Service with mediocre sleeping quarters. I have no intention of recommending this place and can already say that my experience has cost them 3 reservations as several of my other colleagues will be visiting London.

Staff friendly and helpful. Good sized clean room. Superb situation. 5 minute walk to Tower Bridge The price. The lack of even a wash handbasin in the room although there was a bathroom 25 yards away. Traffic noise. Poorly signed.

The location was really good, only 15 min on foot to London Bridge The hotel is not a clean place - we found some hair in our bed, the floor wasn´t vacuum cleaned and we found old shoes behind a mirror (which kind of reflects the care put into cleaning of the room). Unfortunately, the location also has its disadvantage. Situated at a main road and only equipped with single glazed windows (and central heating on which forced us to leave the windows open at night), it was rather loud if you´re not used to loud roads. Not sure whether to recommend the hotel or not, really depends on what you want. COnsidering the price, we really did not expect much more in London. Nevertheless, if your tolerance limit towards stains and things not cleaned up is low, it would not be a good place to be.

Good location which is near the famous Tower Bridge. Service is not bad and the room, kitchen and bathroom are clean. Good for single tourist who would like to live alone and near attractions. My room, Room 3, is noisy at night due to buses and cars on the road.

As I have said I found Suneel and his staff completely considerate-I am partially disabled and they helped me on numerous occasions with my suitcase and made my stay so much better as a result. Justin ,Alice and the bar staff were very considerate. I would recommed any one who is attending the Olympics to get in now or they will miss a golden opportunity.
