London Elizabeth Hotel

J'ai beaucoup apprécié le côté old British avec terrasse garnie de plantes, tables et chaises dans la cour, son bar minuscule mais si sympa, sa simplicité distinguée et surtout sa proximité de la ville avec arrêt de bus et du métro à quelques pas et du Central Park; génial pour un petit footing entre deux, une ballade hors du bruit de la ville où sportifs, enfants et poussettes sont nombreux - avec place de jeux superbe, créée en souvenir de princesse Diana pour parents avec enfants de moins de 12 ans uniquement.

Le bruit de la route m'a d'abord inquiété mais finalement, nous avons très bien dormi - avec fenêtre ouverte côté route. Puis, l'aménagement de la douche dans notre chambre n'était pas pratique; mais le bain était parfait. Ce vieil hôtel, avec ameublement d'époque, dégage une odeur particulière, surtout dans les corridors.

The staff were very friendly and most helpful. Excellent value and location for tube and Central London.

The hotel is in need of major refurbishment. The standard of fixtures, fittings and furniture is very poor - shabby, cracked bathroom tiles, very dirty carpets.

Close to the tube station (Lancaster Gate) and Hyde Park. Staff very friendly. Restaurant very good.

The standard of fixtures and fittings in the bathrooms are dated and in need of renewing. I would say that the standards in the bathrooms probably make the current cost per room a little on the high side.

the location is good and most of hotel staff are good. However, before the day I departured, I asked one staff (a male, older) about train schedule. He told me that on Sunday the train to HTL did not run until 6:30 AM. His information is inaccurate.

The floor seems quite dirty. The hotel needs upgraded.

The room was supposed to be de-luxe and did not even have a drink available. The decor was very poor and needs a lot of work. Down stairs public areas were not clean.

The house is very home like. There is a small tiny open space outside of our room, which is on the ground floor. Every night we sit there and he lighted a cigarete, and we talk and talk. It was not so hot and not so cold those days. We had a very good time there. Also the price is worthy, I think, which is in London zone 1.

We asked for 2 glasses of coke, they cost 6 pounds. Very expensive.

The hotel was not fully booked however we had to ask to change a room to get quiet and bigger
