Inside of hotel was badly in need of painting, no proper plug in sink, key almost did not open room door, dining room staff were not very courteous

Location which is not enough to recommend this hotel.

I was absolutely disappointed and do not understand why it has quite good reviews. Room was located in a basement with no day light and the walls were covered with a mould. The interior decoration looks really old (like done at least 40 years ago) and there were lots of stains on carpets and wallpapers. The breakfast buffet was not a buffet and not a breakfast-just weak coffee and cornflakes. Please consider it and believe that at this price much better hotel can be find.

We found the dtaff to be friendly and excellent in all ways. The restaurant menu needs a close look as we didn't think it was as good as it should be, although it was inexpensive!

Charming, friendly and a place with old style character. And the large bathroom had its own window! Very handy for a stroll in Kensington Gardens and Hyde Park too. Cosy restaurant for an evening meal. Overall very pleasant. Would stay again.

Breakfast only continental and a bit basic, especially if you are late down.

Excellent service and quality and luxury of room

Hallways outside room were a bit smelly but I was bothered very little

It is better than the way it is presented on the Internet. It is a privately run, old fashioned style hotel in a brilliant location, opposite Kensington Gardens. I loved the Rose Terrace - such a surprise in the middle of London. Much better than the corporate monolith (Royal Lancaster) next door.

The hotel was full - and the restaurant was too small to cope with the breakfast volume on Sunday morning. We were stacked up in the adjacent lounge awaiting a table to come free

We were attending an event at Hyde park and the hotel was brilliantly situated for this. The room was spacious and clean, and very comfortable.

Some of the staff at the hotel appeared quite rude, we checked in during a busy period and felt the staff were maybe to busy to be polite, this would possibly put me off staying again, However when we came back at night the staff on reception were very friendly

There was a couple of memebers of staff on the front desk that were pleasant and helpfull. Good location for Hyde Park.

We booked a Double Delux room, however, when we got to our room there were two single beds. I went back to the reception to point out the error, only to be told 'We can push the beds together to make a king size'. As there were no other rooms available we had to stay in that room with the beds pushed together. The hotel needs money spent on it. Every part of the hotel we could see signs of neglect. Our room was very tired looking with cracked floor tiles in the bathroom, signs of damp and a balcony that looks like it has never been cleaned. Refurbishment desperately needed!!!
