Location is excellent, couldn't ask for better. Apartment is huge, with 5 of us we kept losing each other.
Apartment is looking tired, needs some paint, holes filling in bulbs putting in lights etc. A bit mean with the towels and no bath mats.
The location was excellent, with easy tube access. Big Ben and Westminster are walking distance and there are tons of restaurants and bars in the immediate vicinity. Apartment is very spacious- our party of 6 had plenty of room. Staff was willing to work with us on check-in time.
The apartment is a little bit run down and would benefit from some fresh paint and new carpet. The kitchen is not nearly as well equipped as the other UK apartments in which we have stayed.
Location great size of apartment great but ...
We had group of 4 (apartment takes 6) VERY VERY inconvenient trying to explore London when only ONE key given for three bed apt did ask on check in but advised not possible. Also only one bath towel per person ie; no bath mats hand towels face washers or tea towel. Also no bedside lamps so have to get up to turn lights on off dangerous in middle of night for elderly when going to toilet / carpet runners in hall way curl up & trip hazard.
The location was fab. Bang on the South Bank and right on top of all the places that we as a group of friends wanted to visit. The apartment is spacious, but tired and does not live up to the advertising blurb. It's such a shame as it could have been absolutely beautiful.
One of the ensuite Bathrooms was not not accessible, The heating was impossible to control as was the TV. We didn't find it a major problem as we were only there overnight, but had we planned a longer stay it would have been difficult. This apartment needs some investment
the view the apartment it felt like a home
the water in the both showers was not hot
Location was good, only positive.
Went away with a group of friends for my birthday night out in London, was the first time we'd ever been to London so we splashed out for the apartment. Communication was poor from the start and was all done through text message, a random number contacted me the day before asking for a meeting time which i was under the impression by the website was 4, it was more convenient for her to meet at 2 so we left early and went to the address we was given along York Road, when arriving there the address we got to was an NHS building? was very confused so we called the number and a foreign woman answered and said she would meet us there. After waiting a while a foreign woman dressed scruffily approached us called Kristina, she spoke very little and led us to a county hall building completely out the way of the meeting point. The building was okay so we breathed a sigh of relief as you can expect 5 young girls following a foreign woman to a randomly located apartment we was quite sceptical and worried as it didn't seem very legitimate and we was worried we may be being scammed. We got into the apartment and she briefly showed us around whilst we put our stuff down into our rooms, we all went and sat in the living room whilst she filled out a form and asked for my ID in which i gave to her. She then asked us if we wanted wifi... we all said yes as it was £5 so a £1 each, we paid her and then realised that all she did was plug a plug in, which we could have done ourselves so was quite a rip off. After she fiddled with the wifi plug she told us to all come over to the box and put in the code, we all gathered round and whilst typing in the code i then realised she wasn't in the room anymore, i ran down the corridor into my bedroom as i had a weird feeling something wasnt right and my purse had been moved and she shot up the en-suite stairs and claimed to be 'checking the radiators' to which i checked and there we're no radiators in the bathroom.
The apartment should be stunning, but it has been used and abused. Damaged doors, bathrooms etc. Cutains, good quality, but falling off the tracks etc, lightbulbs not working, electrical sockets loose, kitchen cupboards broken. What a shame to have let this go without any general upkeep
The lady which we met is awful, one bathroom is broken, one no Fan. One bed is broken, we had to sleep on the floor, cost us more than £650.00.....don't go this apartment.
Good location, roomy
One of bathrooms out of action, but not indicated as such. Housekeeper turned up late, wanted to charge £5 extra for internet access, charged £20 to make up sofa bed (only 4 of us staying) and never sent gave receipt despite saying she would
The location of the appartment is superb, very clean comfortable and big there were 6 of us and it never felt over crowded
Advertised as having 3 bathrooms but only 2 were in use and although the appartment was clean n comfortable it could do with a bit of TLC I think they've called it "chic" I'd say needs decorating
The location was excellent and the apartment was very spacious.
Having one key for 6 people is ridiculous. There are no bath mats, hand towels or tea towels and only one towel per person. There was also no bin in the kitchen. The staff member arrived late for check-in and was not very welcoming. I booked the property but was not present at the check-in so she told the other guests she would have to come by the next day. After reluctantly arranging to meet her the next day at the apartment she did not arrive. When I called I was told they would do everything by email - how frustrating!
1)The location is amazing!! couldn't be better for a tourist! you could walk almost everywhere. 2)2 min walk from Waterloo station, really easy to find and get to. 3) Really large, clean, comfy, spacious appartment x6 people. 4)Free wifi code was provided which made everyone very happy as we were not going to pay for it! 5)Kitchen had an amazing quick heating oven, toaster, microwave, kettle ecc. everything you could need (but no oven gloves and no detergent for the dishwasher!)
1)Worst thing of all....having to pay £10 a bag at Waterloo station for 4 hrs left luggage. They really need to let people leave their luggage in the appartment entrance room. I understand that after morning check out they have to clean, but i'm sure putting our bags in the entrance wouldn't be a problem, 4pm is too late as most people like me will want to use their first day sightseeing..without bags and without paying an extra £60! They really should do the check in at any time, pre-organised by phone, just to drop off bags, get the keys and sign the forms. 2)The showers were either red hot or off, not at all ideal in the summer, had to hold the shower head as high as possible so we didn't burn the kids!! 3)The lack of bathroom hand towels...non existent! meant drying our hands on someones shower towel. 4)The third bathroom was locked as i imagine out of order, not a big deal but would have been nice to have 3 bathrooms as they said. 5)Kitchen had great facilities but no oven cloth to use to take out a hot oven tray!
the location and the space of the apartment.
There was not even a rag in the kitchen and no dishwasher detergent. Half of light bulbs were out of order. Lack of dishes. Ideal would be an european electric adaptator
Location fantastic! Apartment was great but was a little tied and needs a bit of TLC But still great!
It was spacious and in a great location. The apartment had three bedrooms and three baths, a full kitchen with dishwasher and clothes washer.
The bed in ou master bedroom was less comfortable than I am used to. The noise from the pubs woke us during the night. Lots of traffic noise as well. From prior reviews we were informed of the importance of contacting the agent in plenty of time in order to have rooms ready for occupancy. The entry for our apt was across the street from 75 York Road on Chichester I believe.
Good location. Plenty of space for 6 people.
Checking in arrangements only one week before - totally incorrect on booking.com terms. Could have been more towels only one each provided - insufficient for when you shower and wash hair at same time No kitchen linen provided Key fob stopped working - details inside building on what to do, but not terribly helpful if you are stuck outside the building!
very good location , good view , clean and convenient
The building name is not London Eye Apartment so the Taxi couldn't know where this building locate only guess that London eye area ..... The apartment name is Country hall apartment
The location and size of the apartment was great.
As a last minute booking, we did not get the directions or booking in information before we arrived. We spent two hours of our valuable visit time, looking for the apartments which are listed as the London Eye Apartments, York Road. The taxi driver took us to York road but had never heard of The London Eye Apartments, neither had any of the local businesses, other hotels or anybody we spoke to, as we trawled the length of York Road, looking for them!! In fact the apartment is situated in the County Hall building (we had even asked at the porters lodge sited there and they had never heard of them!) and it was only after repeated, unanswered, phone calls to the contact number, did somebody call back, to arrange a meeting time and place to handover the key. (this meant waiting around for a further hour after the 4pm check in time, whilst someone had to travel over from the other side of London! Once in the apartment, we found a very basic provision. No bins, no tea towels, one towel per guest, and very tired and tatty furniture and furnishings. There was only one pillow per person, all of which smelt musty. It was such a shame as the apartment could not have been better placed in central London.
arranging to arrive at 1.00pm to leave luggage only not to be met at 4.00. 3 hours with luggage
The central location was fantastic, the apartment was clean and the beds comfortable.
Unfortuately the key fob for the main door stopped working on our last day though it did not inconvience us it was slightly disconcerting.
Location fabulous..2 minute walk from Waterloo tube station. Lounge area clean and comfortable. Beds comfortable. Apartment very large. Excellent communal areas.
Apartment was filthy, particularly kitchen and all bathrooms. Only one key was provided for three people. Apartment in need of serious tlc
Big room, low price, and brilliant location.
There is no reception. I am curious about it.
I liked the location and it's near to a lot of restaurants ...big ... Comfortable ....
The beds are a bit uncomfortable...
The Location The en suite bedrooms The large lounge area The view of London eye and proximity to everything. Comfortable beds
The remote for the TV didn't work very well. Wifi should have been included. (Extra cost £5)
The apartment was huge, more than adequate for our party of 6. It was finished to a good standard, with an opulent feel. The location, just by waterloo station and the london eye, was perfect for our night out in London.
With only 1 key it was a struggle to get everyone back in the apartment at the end of the night due to coming home at different times. A couple more keys would be helpful. The front door did not feel very secure.
